part two so now i have my first black friends and they call me bum blaster and blood clout with that thick accent and laugh and never explain . well time goes by and nigei invites me to his house to hang . so im getting a little drunk and tell a story about going to my first black bar --------------- you said what , all conversation stops . i say i went to a black bar and my buddys girlfriend starts at me about it not being a black bar but a ---- i cant understand her the accent again. so i start my story again , iwas the only white person in the bar and kind of stood out , felt like everone was staring at me . i asked if this is how blacks feel. well everone start freaking and my buddy who i work shoulder to shoulder with every day and eat three meals a day with and ride the bus home with. his girlfriend starts yelling im racist and to get out of her house. is my buddy walks me to the elevator i say to him you know im not racist and he answers i know but what can i do. i get it its always ok to be racist as long as your not white . we worked together as a team salt and pepper as he use to call us for an other year and he came to my house .

growing up in canada, i felt left out in the blk community b/c i am a 5th generation blk cdn on mom's side and 3rd on my dad's - when other black ppl not canadian born met me - i tell them i'm cdn, but i always used to get the question - where are you really from - they were looking for me to say the islands - when i told them my paternal grandma was born in 1901 in canada - that's when the questions stopped. i've been told that b/c i wasn't from the islands, i had no culture in college, but a mbr of the black student society put him in his place i heard he got into a lot of trouble. i was asked what do we eat as in food as canadians what kind of music do we listen to - at our blk canadian weddings, the only carribean song played was hot hot hot by arrow - we played straight up r and b and motown. i hv been rejected by other blk men b/c i'm not west indian enough...it was hurtful. even with 'friends' they made of my cdn heritage but i used to think, why are you making fun of me knowing that my family and ancestors were in canada first - they were 1st generation - i live in the usa now and i'm with an african american man - he has never treated me as if i were different and he loves going w/me to canada. my parents told me it was jealousy on those ppl's parts - one guy i used to be friends with in college, when i went to his house, his mom was from the islands, when she met me - she said, 'you cdn ppl are loud' and that did it for me - i didn't date her son but when he met my parents, they never said any of that crap to him. in the usa, the african americans don't treat differently at all - my ex mom in law thought we were american but decided to live in canada - b/c she was surprised that blacks do live in canada. her other daughter in law's family were from the islands - but she gravitated more to my family and felt comfortable around them more than her family and this ex sis in law would brag about the islands this and that and she would make comments about my looks being skinny and such but it was jealousy - i didn't care much for her b/c she was very insecure. i felt once again, i was a young girl in college again - being around island ppl....i would love to meet drake and ask him did he feel left out and isolated because he wasn't from the islands - he makes me very proud being a blk canadian - his dad is african american and his mom is jewish. i still hv dealt w/racism not much with wht ppl, but with my own ppl - which is quite sad and on top of it-colorism, that also played a part from my family - being called pygmy, chocolate dip, nappy hair - it hurt but these so called relatives, they aren't all that anymore, they had hard lives as children...when ppl see something in you that is special and they don't have, that's when their ugliness shows -

I tal you so; remember when you arrive , you spit USA know you go to face the truth . I remember when you where in the church and thinking in Canada you can get the residence? Face it and run back to the states , make money illegally wile you can cause you will be deported ; and your wife I'm sure she is back in America. As a Canadian I will say, stop coming here. And of course you didn't expect this. You thought you could just come here and get whatever you want handed to you.

I'm a white middle aged male and I get stopped at the airport more than anyone. When I was younger the cops stopped me all the time aswell, not now tho.

i hope these Muslim people are working really hard and looking after their family by their own money and not getting any benefits from Canadian government as child benefit or housing benefit like UK !!\nBecause in UK most of these people dont work and they dont pay tax ,plus each family got minimum 4 kids and the government have too look after them and pay for their house rents ...I dont understand why the UK government not stopping that!!! .

I'm black Canadian... Of course I would never say racism doesn't exist in Canada... But the Canada that they are describing is foreign to me... Where as As soon as I cross the brother to the state I get racially profile... By the time I get to New York City I'll get stop 3 times on average... So... if youve ever walked down nearly any urban and suburban street in America as a nicely dressed woman of any race you get guys calling out sexualy degrading comments every time they get the chance, its nasty, ive had dudes pull up jerking off asking for directions to a street half a block away and then playing dumb just to get me to keep talking to him, that was not an isolated incident, ive been followed home and stalked as a young woman, its bad out there, men of all races do it, and it needs to stop

These people give their loyalty to their religion and not their country. Dangerous. If you don't like being stared at then do the tiniest bit of assimilation and remove the veils and head coverings. If you send them back they will spread the message we will not allow them into our borders. If they stop coming the smugglers will not be able to operate, and so they will not be able to come. The reason why people come to Europe is a no brainier. You can starve, and die in Africa, or be paid to live in Europe, the only thing that stands in your way is the risk of death getting there, week politicians and 'human rights' is what have let us down. Nice video, Derek. I'm gonna add something you didn't even mention. Here in the U.S., there is the Patriot Act, and a growing Police State. Our liberties and Constitutional rights are being trampled by the day. Our privacy is being lost at an alarming rate, and there are more checkpoints than ever before, tighter security measures at airports than ever before, metal detectors even at high schools for students just to attend class, and worst of all shootings of innocent people by cops (often homeless, mentally ill, etc.) than ever before. I don't know for sure, but I don't think Canada has the degree of the same problems, and if they do, they certainly aren't at the magnitude that they are happening here in the states. Those shootings are about 2,000-3,000 just in the last year!! Please be careful, especially in California, and know your U.S. Constitutional rights if/when you get stopped on the road or anywhere else.

There is so much negativism associated with Islam and all Muslims get tarred with the same brush. They frighten us. Their dress is alien to us. ISIL and other groups do unspeakable things in the name of their religion. Their religion is too demanding. Christianity and other religions can adjust to scientific facts. We KNOW the world is round and there are other worlds, so far unpopulated, out there. Islam seems to demand adherence to its core beliefs written centuries ago and makes no concessions to emerging facts. Religion is the main influence in the life of Muslims and their Imams seem to have a lot to do with governance and education, instead of the separation of church and state to which we are used. If you come to Canada to live, then adjust to our values or leave, please. This doesn't mean that you have to stop attending a mosque but please discontinue the scary body coverings and start treating your women as equals, not chattels. Even some women will argue with that last bit, but why does a woman have to cover up and a man does not? This is NOT equality.

I don't care if you wear hijab but covering face all the time and refusing to take pictures for lisence and passport is not okay. also when the whole world has problem with your religion maybe there must actually be problem you have to fix and not act like you are the victims. we have right to be careful and no its not fair to you but this is what people who follow Islam faith and harm others get you. Islamic people out cry for their right but have to problem taking others away. for example wanting daycares to ban pork just because they can have porn. you should not get special treatment for you religion. One thing that blacks have gotten away from is their relationship with God! We've forgotten that with God we over came a lot of the weapons that society had forged against us. We forgot how to come together as a people and the churches were our launching points into the systematically racist and discriminatatory system that was set in place to disenfranchise blacks as a people. It was through God that the impossible became possible and the strength to endure was our faith and trust in God. Now with the freedoms that were gained blacks became a distracted people. We lost our eye on the prize and the same system that we fought against has turned blacks against one another. The black family is virtually non-existent because we have forgotten our roles to one another. No God, no family, no leaders equals complete anarchy.
