We have having the same problems here in New Zealand….\n\nHousing crisis, poor economy, tens of thousands of kiwis leaving the county, healthcare falling apart…and we have hundreds of thousands coming in (predominantly from INDIA, China and the Philippines). It’s killing us slowly.

I feel lot of this started as a solution to solve the population crisis, and now immigration has ended up as Canada's addiction. People who run out of visa should leave, sure, but it's basic human instinct to try and stick to the better place. Also, if you don't bring value to the country, you will be the first victim of deportation. If you had a valuable skill or strong academic accolades you would not be kicked out, but because you don't, you are getting kicked out, which is more than fair when a country cannot house you without hurting its own population. Two sides to all coins. \nThat said, I see that while the anonymous hate towards immigrants was always there, this atmosphere has changed the humble and polite Canadians into angry ones in open.
