The Canada I knew is long gone , we have an out of control government that is not working for the people and how to get out of this mess , we have to wait 2 more years this gives pretty socks time to really hurt the country

The liberals’ crazy aggressive immigration targets make everyone’s life miserable except for the rich and powerful. More people means more cash cows for them. Without sufficient infrastructure to support this kind of population growth, the GDP per capita has been dropping and housing costs have gone through the roof due to the great gap between supply and demand. The politicians only talk about the shortage of supply but let’s face it they can never build faster enough for the people they bring in. As a result, people will keep fighting for the scarcity and fuel on the Canadian housing speculation.

Not true. I did an inter office transfer.i am senior. ;-D. I bought my house in the first 2 months! But yes 2 months after lockdown. I guess I was lucky. Yeah my home has gone up 30% at least. I am in Quebec. I love it here so far. Love my neighborhood. Also I live outside of the city. Nah, my neighbours are fantastic! I am invited to dinner, they help me out when I fractured my knees. People stopped me and talks to me and I am pretty much the only Asia around the area. I wish I speak more French. Totally disagree with you. You were from Germany? Once oil boom went out things got harder in Canada. Technically only old money made more money and very tiny new money made money. Just things got worked in. Tech pulled in and now its entertaining. Things are as they are and growth is finished. Everything is gone get old and we might see squeaky doors like in old western movies with tumble weeds blowing by adding more propped up sitting against the walls in crumbling City's. I am glad that you mentioned politics. In my 70 years of living in Canada, we have had some previous bad governments but i will say that this government is the worst of the worst. When thankfully this government is gone, there still will be some hard times because this present government has dug us into such a deep hole that it will take time to dig us out.

It only goes down from here! Born and raised in Canada.... Been complaining how downhill the country has gone since I was a teenager (I'm in my 30s now). I avoid going to the hospital. For 2+ years, they still can't figure out why I can't see out of one eye lol. Probably have like 16 pages in my OHIP record. Also my FIL died cuz the hospital sucked. Want to get a pap smear check? It only takes 6 months to get an appointment and you need a referral from your family doc... Not that everyone has one. I'm actually worried for the day when my doc retires... I'll be famlly doctorless. Probably have to go through the walk in clinic system where they don't know you or bother to get to you know. You're just a number.

People are leaving Canada because of Justin Trudeau and his reckless spending which is causing high inflation. Everything is Canada is out of control and it’s the worst I’ve seen Canada in my entire life, everything costs too much and people are leaving or want to leave because they just can’t afford to live here anymore, not to mention the crime has gone up as well.

I was born and raised in toronto, i moved to the uk in 2015. When i visited toronto in 2021 i was shocked at how different the city was. Its gone completely downhill…glad i left.

I love Toronto.However for these last few yaers things have gone from bad to worse. No longer can you feel safe walking or the TTC or even ubering.These illegals just turn up without working for a minute and are given ALL the benefits. Immigration numbers are too high. And from the wrong places (countries where people do not share Canadian values about human rights, democracy). The refugee stream should be seriously curtailed because it is being abused (why haven't any of the Syrians gone back to Syria now that the war is over?), and family reunification should be shrunk as a portion also because it is not very helpful to Canada.

The only difference between Europe and Canada is the Language Barrier, 90% if not 95% of Africans in the Europe are the for the hustle , and they go for menial jobs, these guys have gone to Europe with business or tourists visas and they will not go back after the visa expires and they will try to blend-in in any form,thereby becoming illegal immigrants, what do you expect, you can’t compare that someone in Canada who spends a lot of money to go to school in Canada, Life in general is certainly easier for the rich simple, it doesn’t have to be Europe or Canada. If you spend close to 24000 euros in Germany for 2 years course, oga you will get a decent well paying job and your life will even be easier than those in Canada. All these guys that were telling us here that they have spent 10years or more here,how have you come to Europe, how many years have you studied , these guys came with 1 month visa from maybe Poland and moved to Germany the next day and began to do a whole lot of things, let’s forget it. To me it’s Europe. When the language is the problem, learn it. Traveling outside is not like moving from nsukka to nnewi. You have to be smart .

Gone are the days of Coming to Canada with 5 dollars in your pocket and working your way up to a middle class lifestyle with a house and kids ..Its gotten to the point where even people with full time jobs are homeless and having to use food banks . plus there is not enough infrastructure for all the immigrants in the last few years putting strain on public health , schools , ect...

My first visit to Canada (the so called Province of Quebec) was in 1972. If you've had asked me at that time where was paradise, I'd have answered to you that it was right here in Quebec and particularly in Montreal. I spent two years and went back home in 1974. I came back five years later in 1979 with the intent of staying and I did. I've spent decades of wonderful years here, and although I will leave next year, I will still remember with nostalgia the lost best decades (70s, 80s and 90s) I'd have spent in Montreal. I will remember the most beautiful city of the world and what it has become in the years 2000 amd counting. I remember how clean and well maintained that city was; how its people were among the most polite and civilized in the World; how life was so easy and affordable; how tolerant as a society the French Canadian one was and so on. Today, all that is gone, and when I take a look at the pile of trashes and garbages on the Ste-Catherine street and Saint Laurent Boulevard, it makes feel sick. In fact, Montreal has become a huge Third World city, and it is not better on a social point of view : you can't walk one block or two without being dragged by a homosexual or a lesbian. Speaking of lesbian and homosexual, you can't keep your work if you don't support the LGBT and or willing to date your boss. I am leaving next year to go back to my country where there is still a seemingly willingness to normalcy, but since the LGBT has managed to sneak its power everywhere, I am not holding my breath of a bright future overthere, but it's my home and I prefer to be there and deal with it.

It's good that people are moving back to their own countries since canada is getting worse day by day as a country to live in. After being educated all you get to do is labour and they just don't want to let us grow. The taxes are so high, half your salary is gone to the government. Housing affordability is worsening. Plus the Canadian government just calls international students for their money but doesn't provide them with jobs because all canada has is labour so it's good that people are leaving Canada.

Canada has gone to the dogs since it has been electing corrupt Conservatives and Liberals politicians in to Ottawa.\nWe need public inquiries to hold accountability on political corruption and crimes that has been commited.\nThe government of Canada lacks transperancy and we the citizens need to see the TRUTH.

This is good and honest review. You did not succeed because you did not go with that mindset. In my case, I was working in India as a Class I gazetted officer with Govt of India. When I got PR, I resigned from the job, just because I knew there is struggle in Canada. If I have an option, I would have definitely gone back. My Dad and my father-in-law, both Govt officers at that time, were upset with me for resigning. They were OK with me going to Canada, but did not like the idea of leaving such a good job. I did struggle initially and did survival jobs, like working in factories etc, but I DO NOT regret my decision at all. But again, it is individual's choice what is their goal. Mine was to give my kids world's perspective. Now they are free to go anywhere in the world, including India. My elder one 26 and younger one 22, have visited so many countries without taking a single penny from me. Their world view is very balanced ... they are very empathetic - thanks to Canadian education system - including school level.

It sucks for Canada.. there is a double whammy here.\n\nThe best immigrants are then leaving Canada - leaving behind the ones who came with no intention of acquiring proper training and education and just wanted a way into Canada for social security and benefits. \n\nI am talking about Khalistanis, Hamas Supporters, Indian students who were too dumb and poor to get admission to Indian colleges, and economic refugees who left their country to reap the benefits of free healthcare and social benefits. \n\nSo, in total, we are losing most of the best immigrants and left behind with those who are NOT going to help Canada grow - instead, they will take up a more significant chunk of Free Healthcare, EI and other social security benefits that we all pay our ARMS and LEGS for. \n\nI blame this all on Trudeau. Under his leadership - anything he has touched has only gone bad. He is like a Cancer for Canada.
