Why decide to move when one cannot cope with the change We have been here for past 28 years, of course one has to leave the comfort zone. Getting job in our own fields “engineering “ it took us 3 years ,as we had to get the memberships. We worked as school helpers and at gas station, whereas my husband is now at a higher level as a geoscientist . Struggles no matter where,pays off. \nYou are so wrong about so many things. Surviving without a car is very possible,transit is so regular and swift and heated.our kids transited for their entire university days. I am a spaniard living in Austria and can relate. People are a bit more relaxed than germans but still they treat you different, they prefer native german speakers for every job and they will never accept you. Almost impossible to make local friends so you end up living in an international bubble. People are also always grumpy. Psychological it can be hard to live in these countries. In my opinion, they will always be racists and that is something very hard to change.

You make the life of a digital nomad and you consciously choose to have no roots. Canada is a very diverse place. It very probably do not worth living in sythern Ontrio ad in the Vancouver area. But there is plenty of other places in Canada much more affordable and interesting. Me coming from Québec and iving there make me think that you could have choose to come to live here and intergrate yourself into our society. Take for example the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean where i come from more precisely. I guees you never went there. And believe me this in another country in comparison with Vancouver and the whole of southern Ontario. In my mind you should choose to setlle and make babies. This being done you could still live in the nomadic world to a cetain point and be into the digital world.

Don't bother with the UK, sadly. It's the same here. Mass immigration has suppressed wages and made most of our town and cities look like downtown Mogadishu. The middle class has never had it good. A very small group of people do really well in life (due to TONS of different factors) and the rest not so much. It's been like that from the dawn of humanity. I grew up in the 90s in Canada, and everyone in these types of videos is acting like middle class people back in the day were living this baller, lavish lifestyle travelling the world and driving luxury cars. Ha! They were clipping coupons, and ordering whatever the special was whenever they went out to family restaurants. They drove Dodge Caravans, and lived paycheck-to-paycheck. I was one of them, as were my friends growing up. I was lucky enough to find something that helped me get out of all that. Sad reality of the world is and has always been, the rich can enjoy life and the rest take what's given to them. I'm not saying that's good, but it is what it is.

The ONLY way you're going to enjoy life in Canada is if you are wealthy! Anything other than that means you are a stressed slave, locked inside a prison corporate system, while paying through the nose for your own slavery i.e. insanely high rent for a roof over your head, a car that gets you to your slave job, and ridiculously high food prices. If you like stress, slavery and the idea of never getting ahead than Canada is for you! It's a live to work/ slave country.

Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

I am asian guy. It's been 32 years in Canada and I never had a girlfriend in Canada ?. Now I gave up meeting someone in Canada. Feeling lonely though at times, but I think Canada is still a good country to live. Definitely more opportunities here than places like Argentina, South Korea, etc. I go to Walmart to save money on groceries. Problem is I do feel lonely here, so in the future maybe I will try South East Asia to meet a girlfriend when I am older ?

The official business in canada and police station are a joke i just last week went to get a criminal check to do uber and i oaid 250$ just to get a criminal check background but thats not all the way i was treated from the workers was dissturbing been living in this countru for over 14 years and never i have felt that type of discrimination as i did at york region police checks . For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. These are the ones who would literally step on their grandmothers neck to attain higher status in life. Since for me this place is where I feel the most a part of and have understood long ago that the ROC had done everything to negate us as a people a nation and the dream of an independent country with close ties to the ROC is and probably never was in the cards, I have started hoping for some kind of political union with mother France since it has become painfully clear that Canada as a strong bicultural self respecting truly independent country is a bygone notion. Just look at our military, it’s a monumental farce. Look at the insane levels of immigration, we cannot support this!! PERIOD!!! Look at way we genuflect to the US’s economic visions without questioning anymore. The Quebec people are a nation, Canada unfortunately is only a notion. For me getting out of Canada is also a reality except since this place never was one of a cash cow there only to send funds to some family elsewhere I believe we Québécois and Québécoise, with the respect for the First Nations that we have always owed them, need to go our way. So leave Canada, in fact there are too many of you already. We are not the US, we cannot afford the social chaos of savage predatory capitalism. What is bringing this confederation down is exactly that. Wanting to cram Canada, all its constituent parts into an Merican hole. No matter the price. Goodbye Canada you hardly wanted to know us.

Scottish Canadian here. I left canada 20 years ago, for Asia, and have never moved back. I go home (southern Ont) for holidays and am shocked at what the country has become. Currently riding out life in Thailand and love it. If you can get out, and won't regret it, you should try. Canada is absolutely shocking now as a (post) nation.

I was born in Montreal in the mid 50s and growing up it truly was a free country with plenty of opportunity. Graduating from Sir George Williams University I was able to purchase a brand new Mustang and live in my own new construction 2 bedroom luxury apt. Food and going to clubs was never an issue and as I had worked during the summers, I had no student debt. Most Canadians back then were from European backgrounds and safety was never an issue. In the year 2000 I left for the United States for good. I worked , lived and retired in a small university town and have a conceal carry permit to protect myself even here. I remember when you didn't even need a passport to go back and forth to Canada . The great replacement has hit Europe the hardest but Canada is a close second. If I were to leave here it would probably be for Thailand or the Philippines where there is a reasonable cost of living and safer conditions. I feel for you as I too can never go home, not the home I came from.

I live in Canada over 30 years, and I never accepted this country as my home, Canada wasn't my choice. I wanted stay in Europe in Germany, country that was stolen from Germans, I am from Europe and there is my home we wore sent far away to another continent from our own, far from families and tradition, culture, religion, Europeans people wore replaced with different ethnic group of people from different continents with different values, religions, cultures and traditions. Justin Trudeau and the liberals have destroyed this Country. I was born and raised in Canada in a town in Ontario along one of the Great Lakes Lake Erie. My parents and even their parents were born and raised in that same area I am from and Canada was a great place but since Justin Trudeau become PM everything started to change and not in a slow unnoticeable way it was fast. Drugs and homelessness started to become a thing something I have never seen in my life and even my neighbourhood and town started to change too with people that don't speak english and wait times in the ER started to be so much longer and even finding a doctor when I moved to the city was impossible to get. I have not traveled much only in a car or truck and never been on a airplane but I am considering moving out of Canada too. I am going to wait and see what happens in the election and see if things begin to charge before I leave the only place I know and start new somewhere else. I have been thinking of Southeast Asia like Laos or Thailand because there Canadian funds are worth something and you can live and at for very cheap and get a very nice place for half or less of what rent is here.

The reason I am considering leaving is very simple. When I came in 2001, the wages were competitive, and the cost of living was low. Now the wages didn't move, but the cost of living sky-rocketed, and the cost of buying a home also sky-rocketed, to the point where I will likely never be able to afford it. I may move back to Denmark, or to Italy, but I will not stay in Germany in the long run, the governments (several of them, through time) have forgotten about the people, and are catering to the rich and to large companies.

The cause of the problem could never be criminal capitalism, no never that.

A true Canadian would never ever leave his/her country. Obviously you're not a true/real Canadian. So, in your case it makes sense for you to move. Goodluck with your life abroad.
