Americans are our best friends.......Canadians have a bad perception of Americans, and none of its true......great people, and great country & a great culture.......lived in Michigan for 30 years, and enjoyed every minute.......now I have American son and Daughter, and Michigan born grandkids.......love the USA......Canada really blows.....too socialist

I think both cultures are too severe/extreme. women covering their faces in hot summer while Canadian women stand waiting outside for taxis to go get drunk wearing skirts even hooker's wouldn't wear in the eighties. or wearing nylons as pants and that's it. where is modesty that doesn't make you almost pass out from heat exhaustion, or modesty that doesn't make you look like a hooker? where is that old saying......happy medium?

We as Canadians are scared we don't need Islam. I read the Quran and it's all about violence. Look in European countries they are destroying cultures. Don't trust them they are liars.

Muslim refugees should go to Saudi Arabia or Iran “Where their radical beliefs are considered the norm”\nas Muslim immigrants “You can not impose your own rules (Sharia laws) in a culture that is not your own” this is what Canadians are worried about not immigrants

When you people say Muslims , do you mean the Canadian Muslims who were born here and adapted their faith and new culture together or the Syrian refugees who prefer Syrian Arab culture, cause there's a huge difference.

Nice program.. It seams for some reason the western civilization has been burdened with this problem of Racism, Prejudism and other phobia .. I am a Transgender person. I feel safe in Canada. So should everyone else. BUT Here is the devils advocate in me.. If I went to a different part of the world, would I have the same rights and freedoms as I do here.? Probably not!  Canada is about change. Canadian's accept change, but so should the people who come here. Don't lose your religion, values, or culture. keep them close! but embrace new ones.. Canada is a new world now! We fight hate on all levels!

Of course intolerance exists in  Canada, however, I believe the current multi-cultural policy is ill conceived, delaying integration of new arrivals into the Canadian social fabric. The same can be said for the Indian Act which legally discriminates between status Indians and the Metis, who by accident of birth, bear the same social weight as  status Indians, but with far fewer social benefits.

You look scary and indecent in Canadian culture. It doesn't belong here. This country was fought for and built on - Christian/Jewish Faith. That's what our laws provide for. It doesn't provide for Islamic law, nor will it in the future. You don't get to piggy back on the life and death of people who fought and died for their democractic rights. Show me one Muslim country where the people fought for the right to independence and freedom. It doesn't exist anywhere in the world.

Integrate in to Canadian culture or get the fuck out

The women said they are not enforced to wear the niqab or burka, if it so, is not mandatory and there is anything to do with their religion why to wear it ? why do not they embrace our culture, they can keep their faith in their heart and their home , no one cares. Do they use it to be distinguished as muslim women from non-muslim women, so then muslim men can just harm the non muslim, as it says it is been done in other countries as in Sweden when they raped non muslims women? Then why are they forced to use it in their countries and punished even killed for not using it? The niqab , I did not care they use it unless it does not harm anyone but now that as been said they using it to distinguish women it borrows me, the full burka is too extreme if it is not mandatory so do not use it cause it just makes you apart from others Canadian women and it do not bring peace and no safety. If Islam is a peaceful religion , they should do everything they can to maintain the peace.

men get discriminated everyday in court, alot get alienated from their children, but you can't even tell a muslim woman to take off the mask in court, and they feel not safe? fuck you, you are safer then some Canadians that grew up here and been paying taxes for 30 years, Canada is lost its culture, its all about bullshit now, just a bunch of fucked up bullshit, fake racist people.

There is no need for Islam in Canada.\n\nSince Canadian laws are superior to Islamic laws, Islam becomes redundant, and the only reason people cling to it is out of arrogance and cultural chauvinism.

My experience in Canada has been largely positive, with only minimal racial difficulties.  As a teenager, I do recall some kids making blatantly racist comments, when I was the only minority in the room; but they were silly girls, popular and full of themselves, and most of the students who heard did not laugh with them. We all knew it was wrong.  Another time I was told, by an agent, that a potential employer claimed she would not hire me because of my race.  I did not hear these words firsthand, though, so it was impossible for me to verify the truth. In the end, I let the matter alone. Other people,  I realize, have endured severe injustices; such have not been my experience, but this does not subtract from their reality.  Indeed, racism does exist, and shall remain as long as there are imbeciles wallowing in the mire of ignorance, people who cling to an absurd sense of superiority for lack of something more meaningful to hold.  As well--and it must be said!--quite likely, we all have, at some point, entertained discriminatory thoughts. 'Tis not a 'black and white' problem but a human one, and we must be mindful of it beginning with ourselves.  Canada, then, with its many inhabitants and complex history, will never be the exception. We can't expect perfection among people, here or anywhere else in the world.  Even so,  I believe there are enough fellow Canadians who strive to treat people as individuals and are happy to make friends across cultures.  My life has been and continues to be a testament to that!  Whatever our troubles, we still retain a proud heritage of diversity and progressive ethnic harmony.  We do try, and for this reason I love my country.  I am deeply patriotic and immensely proud to be part of it!
