We came to Canada 5 years ago, through Student Visa ( Masters) , wanted my kids to learn english too, the pandemic hit and borders closed. Plan was return. During pandemic we had to change our visa and got the PR and got good jobs,. Met great people and decided to stay because is nice for my children. What I have to say is: there is wayyy too many Indians, we didnt want to do any school work with them, we dont want to work with them, we dont want to live in their neighborhood. ( its weird to admit it), at this point, we dont want to go to Walmart, is just their irresponsible attitude everywhere , also descendents of India (2 and 3 generarion) that I met are shocked and upset with soo many and the elementary schools are packed full portables. There is no balance. Their culture will dominate in 100 years from now. This is how immigration works. The outcomes will be seen later and will change Canadian Culture forever.

I am speaking as an Indian, who lived and worked in Thailand for 2 years, and now will be moving to Europe on a specialist skills visa. Indians as immigrants have been a productive addition to any country worldwide, compared to other nationalities. But the only exception case is in Canada. \n\nThe reality is, in Canada, the majority of immigrants are only from a specific part of India (Punjab), and most of these people are deluded, uneducated and unskilled. You are 100% right, they are not there to upskill or even contribute. I can bet these people have not even lived in big cities in India itself, they come from villages and small towns and have never seen how modern societies or even cities work.\n\nI feel sad for Canadians because most of this is their government's fault. It is the leading example of a failing society, which attracts the most obnoxious group of people from around the world. This is a complete political agenda.\n\nAll being said, even if they pay me I would never come to Canada.

I lived in 9 countries and I lived one of the biggest riots and almost civil war because people go out against the government screaming and complaining.\nBut none of those countries situation is worse than Canada, But people don't do anything, People just swear on social media.\nIt's your fault for not doing anything, government succeeded to make you weak and sensitive as butterfly.

there are too many people already on this planet and the number keeps growing.. situation is already ridiculous and there is no plan to implement everyone into great living conditions.. eventually the rich will decide it's time to lower the number by war.... nothing changes... this planet is hell if you are born in a poor family

Come to Canada if you enjoy:\n- Sending 500 job applications and geting 3 interviews, 0 job offers\n- Working manual/low paying job and getting discriminated/gas-lighted sometimes\n- Waiting 1.5 month to see a doctor when you or your child is sick (or wait 10 hours in Emergency when you need emergency care)\n- Getting attacked by homeless people on the street with absolutely no reason (and no, you can't sue them)\n- Paying heaps of money each month for a damp and cold basement for your family to live in, without ever being able to buy a house

It's not the fault of the student's. They pay a lot to get here and they work in the service jobs that many young Canadians do not want to work in if we even have enough native born Canadians. They are victims of the greed of Post Secondary institutions and the mismanagement of the Trudeau government. Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.

Frankly, as long as people have homes, eat, and live comfortably, the rest is a luxury. We can simply enjoy our beautiful nature and live in peace. Life is not about crazy work or having a lot of money. I hope the government can find a way for people to live comfortably without destroying nature to extract energy.

Good! I was born in Russia and immigrated here as a kid with my mom. A lot of Russians went back for similar reasons, and I’m happy for them. You should go to where people live your values…and not try to change the values of the place you go to.

As a Indian living in Canada, I apologise for the havoc some illiterate unskilled people of my country have created in this beautiful country. Students in here if they want should contribute to the Canadian economy instead of working in grocery store full time.

In the meantime the refugees are taking out credit cards right left and center and driving our country more into debt than ever before.\nCanadians got a reputation as being “nice”\nAt the expense of being nice, inclusive and welcoming \nCanada is destroying itself\n\nI can tell you that a Canadian would never be able to go to their countries and get away with what they’ve received here in Canada..,and there is no one else to blame except the Federal Government and Large Corporations who are feeding each other hand over fist. Welcome to the joys of living in a regulatory entitlement state. Noone is blaming statism and collectivism for the evil these two philosophies have created in Canada. The only way out of this mess is not more state and more regulation, but quite the opposite--deregulate and privatize, deregulate and privatize. Shrink the government to the bare minimum, introduce market forces and competition, and let people take care of themselves.

Im always baffled why they want to stay in a racist country instead of wanting to return to living with their own people.

If you vote for either Trudeau, Poilievre, or Singh, you'll be voting to allow them to stay in Canada instead of being deported, and to receive permanent residency afterwards. If you want them to be deported and for mass immigration to stop, then vote for Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada (PPC), because he's against Trudeau's mass immigration and he wants to deport them all back to their own country so that Canadians can breathe and live again without immigrants taking jobs, residence, money, and food that are supposed to be FOR Canadians! Maxime Bernier is the ONLY party leader who actually works FOR Canadians and NOT against Canadians, like Trudeau, Poilievre, and Singh do!

They are not political refugee and therefore they have no right to claim the asylum status. These people have no intention neither to assimilate nor to integrate or embrace the Canadian values. They are here to created a country inside a country and worst of all their culture is not incompatible with western culture, leave alone the everyday bad habits and behaviours that Canadians have to endure with them living among Canadians.

There have been a lot of people at friends' work and wife's work that are working full time that have been booted in the last 2 weeks. Instead of being students, they are just working and living here.

The politicians who put this in place are the ones that we need to hold accountable. There's no way that this amount of people coming is not deliberate.\nWe are LIED to about the number of people coming, there's no housing for the people that live here.

Canada has too many people and students from India. It seems to me they didn't come here to be Canadians. They're here to make the country a platform for thier politics and religion. I'm brown and there are too many Indians in Brampton. Most bring their bad habits with them and have no respect for the law. Lived in Canada during the oil crisis. You can immediately tell that the country relies solely on oil and gas. Their STEM graduates will mostly go into oil and gas for jobs and if that industry tanks, that goes the job market. The software engineering grads have the option to go to the US and they do. So Canada does not need more skilled immigrants because their own skilled citizens can't get jobs. They need the low wage immigrants to fill the low and manual job force. So,you don't have to imagine what will happen if those people can't get a job.

Maybe if the Palestinians stopped attacking the Israelis they wouldn't be in the position they are in now. The people in Israel also have a right to live in safety and security.

Correction: Vancouver, while facing extreme difficulties due to a lack of affordable high-density housing, is doing a LOT to try and fix this in comparison to other cities in the infrastructure sector. Just over the last couple years, we've had some pretty extreme zoning policy changes, we have a yearly rent increase cap (which backfires once tenants move out, but that's another story) and we're building new transit infrastructure which now, legally, requires only high-density housing build in the surrounding areas. \n\nThe population growth here has wildly exceeded the amount of housing growth in the last few decades. Not to mention the insufficient wages, high cost of living and a broken healthcare system. Our people are struggling but if you have to live in a city right now, I'd choose the greater Vancouver area. Down the road, I see us improving the most infrastructure-wise out of any Canadian city, which will hopefully benefit social sectors as well.

I was born and raised in Canada, lived there until 2022, but have left for America. I am not confident things will get better for young people anytime soon.

So many people on welfare and disability that can work but just refuse to. I have epilepsy, can't drive and I'm restricted to all the good paying jobs. But it doesn't stop me from going to work fulltime. I hate how so many are making me pay them to stay home on welfare. I understand the disabled that really can't work. Taxada we live in

Lots of truth in this video. I lived in Canada for 28 years now. I was just in Germany for a 3 month long vacation and what a difference compared to Canada. So much cheaper and better food in Germany and rents are actually affordable with cheap public transport. Weather is also a lot milder and more comfortable in winter and summer. I think Canadians don't fully realize how incredibly inflated the prices for the necessities are here. I now realize that I live in a country that is shamelessly trying to suck their people dry. Canadians are just too subdued and are just letting it happen. Every day you wait will make it that much harder to turn this around.

Money extortion business by govt world wide and these students live like 3 or 4 in one room by greedy renters who charge expensive rents as there is no rent control acts and go in poverty and low paying slavery jobs and business uses them like a slave or get into work accident at night shifts and never get documented and work in cash and sometimes no pay cheque. Canada has become worse then 3 rd world country where people are malnourished, no money, no housing , no proper working hours and threats from employers to fire them or work like slave in factories and labour system to protect workers in favour of industrialists. Shame on Canada who has given all power , authority to corrupt and illegal system and no free speech at all.

I am dorry to say this, but you were lied to. People immigrate becourse they can. There are countries that are better to live in where you will have more security in life. Your retirement is better, the problem is. These countries do not want immigrants, no matter what education you have. I would never immigrate to a country I have never been to. ♥️. It should be easier for companies in Canada to hire foreigners. Even if a person is visiting Canada and being offered a job. You really cant diside who a compant should hire. As an American who has to go through hoops to legally move and work in Canada, maybe I should just cross with these people and claim political asylum!! Then i could get free living arrangements, healthcare, food, and everything else these lawbreakers get that law abiding people DON'T get, and the entrance they have to wait YEARS FOR! I think he's not the best person to interview about the problem. They should have interviewed people who recently immigrated with semi skilled or vocational jobs. Like plumbers, electricians, or truck drivers. These professions are in demand in Canada due to shortage but the remuneration is low compared to the very high cost of living in Canada. I'd say it's better to live in a poorer or middle income countries like Thailand or the Philippines but with better affordability.

Maybe some more knowlegable people can respond, but Canada has a birthrate problem. Our population would technically be shrinking if we did not have imigrants to be the new working force. As for who is imigrating, that may also be related to where people would like to imigrate to and opportunity. ie some would rather to to USA. Maybe if cost of living and raising a child was not so expensive. Canda has made some steps to improving child care costs recently, but it has been bad for a long time. It also does not help that we are now in a society where on average both parents need to work, and people are having children later.

Immigration these days is about ethnic enclaves. This type of stuff where you live, work, and breathe your own language and culture wasn't a think until the 1990s. Everyone interacted with each other. Now you have people who live the same life they did back home but in another country. What is the point of leaving if you want to emulate the exact same life you had???

I like visiting the US, but don't want to move there. I like the people however cities are not safe. My cousin told me that his small town had 110 murders (WV) . I had just visited Montreal. They have 4.5 million people and had 28 murders that year and were complaining that it's getting crazy. We live longer than Americans and deaths at birth are less. If I had to move to the US, I'd buy a gun. In Canada, to protect my home, I just put on the outside light and lock the door. However, I usually forget to lock the door when I go to bed.

Immigration is not the issue in a place that has that much room. The reason we don't increase the supply of housing fast enough is so that the people owning homes can see their capital increase dramatically. That's the real reason.\nBut I guess it's easier to blame immigrants than seeing that you're (white) neighbour has been voting to increase their capital gains while watching you live under a bridge.

I live in Fremont California and the city is full with Indian, they even have all the government jobs and you could see the corruption already, these people are very corrupt and will do anything for the $$$$$.

I am a Canadian catholic born in Quebec, now live in Mississauga Ontario. I support everything you have said. I do not know why people can't mind there own business and let others go on living there own lives and beliefs, what is it to them. I also think that most religions do have some things in common.

This explains a lot about why Canada was such a great country with such a bright future but now has so many problems no one wants to live here, not even people born here.

Having a visa does not guarantee you entry. The purpose of the visa is to give you the opportunity to knock on the door and ask for entry. Then the officer has the right to make that decision 'yea or nay'.\nAll of the information you are giving is nothing new.\nI am living here for 35 years and those questions have always been asked. My siblings have been in Canada for 60 yrs...the questions have always been the same.\nIf certain countries' natives have a high rate of illegal overstay, people coming from those countries will be thoroughly vetted.\nThey are lucky the officer let them know upfront, that illegitimate overstay means rejection for the next application. Usually they do not give that advice, and when you apply the next time after overstaying, you are rejected without explanation.\nIf you want to stay longer and you have no schisms going you apply. That's all.

What about the rights of Israel to their homeland, to live in safety and security without butchers entering their homes and murdering, torturing and kidnapping them? I'm a Japanese born & raised in Toronto, and used to love Canada. Now I'm seriously thinking of moving to Japan - a country that protects itself from migrants, and even over-tourism recently. I don't mind diversity, but not willing to live in Little India, nor listen to people preaching their Muslim/Islamic faith every day ???

I don't understand the numbers, i am Canadian and we are only 41 millions in the entire Canada, yeah we did let 1.5 million immigrants in in the last 4 years but the number doesn't add up and second i can see more Chinese and black than indian peoples. Nothing is accurate in your dramatic calculation. Anyway those immigrants will go away after a couple of months when they see in 2024 that a rent for an apartment costs between 1500$ to 2200$ per month and with 100$ of foods we can barely live 4 days

if houses and rents are high, that literally means that demand is high which means that too many people want to live in Canada ???

To all of you in the comments section who are ridiculing non-European immigrants to Canada, I will remind you of your heritage. You are all either first generation European immigrants or 2nd, 3rd, 4th (and so on) immigrants to Canada. The only native Canadians are the aboriginal people. So stop acting like this was your country first, rid your hearts and minds of Rac1sm and mis3ry, and embrace cultural and intellectual diversity. There is a lot of strength and power in that. About half a million people immigrated to Canada in 2023. Mostly Ukrainians, Haitians, Indians, Chinese, Afghanistan, and Nigerians. I guess *some one* wants to live in Canada. PS The average home price in Saskatchewan is currently $324,400... but you have to live in Saskatchewan.
