Canada like the rest of the West Need immigrants, not because they're doing immigrants a favor, but because they're doing themselves a favor. Capitalism has made your country too expensive and no one can afford to have kids, but you need working people propping up your pension systems.\nYou also need people to look after your elderly and work on the farms.

All VICE does is LIE.. they've been doing it for years now.. its common sense to why this happened.. they were and are being invaded. Literelly flipping their lives upside down and the left dont care one bit.. blows my mind. It needs to happen to people all on the left. they need to have someone taken from them by all these illegal people around up to no good. Its almost like the left has had their bodies taken over all around the world in the western countries at least.. thats how much it makes no sense to me at all.

Welcome to the ex-pat club. I left Canada 14 years ago. Talking to people I still keep in touch with in Canada I realize just after Trudeau got in power that Canada has changed. I suggest if you plan on a move do your research on where you are thinking of moving to. Do not rely on a vacation as they are very different than actually living in a place. I speak from experience. Do I get homesick? Yes but right now I would not even think of moving back to Canada. I am very settled and happy living in the EU even with the problems here. Some things to check out are various cities or towns in various regions of a country, healthcare, schools if you have children, cost of running a car (petro, insurance, etc), price of food, utilities, etc. If your work papers or degrees are accepted, what visas you will need. Once you have made a decision, start learning the language. I could do it anyone can do it.

No where is perfect! What i can tell you is that ?? is waaay better. \nYou can move like this because you are a content creator hence you dont need to be in Canada to make money so i hope people dont get mislead!!!

With nearly every country in the world today still being run on feudal lines it's no wonder that their countries people find it harder to survive...\n\nThe feudal system where you have an ancestral elite lording it over others will never work in this the 21st century and on...\n\nThese elite are the ones that drain not only their country but they drain their countries indigenous people too... I'm a Canadian living in the UK and can say two things - 1) if the West would stop bombing/exploiting/waging proxy wars in so many countries and displacing millions of people, this wouldn't be an issue. Stop funding war and pressure your reps to focus public funds back into your community. 2) The exploitative housing market has everything to do with corporate greed. We need to hold government and capitalism to account not immigrants. Blaming humans for wanting to survive is insane.

Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

Canada is like 3 times bigger than India area wise and population of Canada is almost equivalent to any big Metropolitan city of India like Delhi. Log kam hai, space bht hai, sarkar k pas paisa bohot hai, that’s why people have little better life here. Bss yahi reason h Canada me achi life ka... India me log ye sab hi dekhte hai flane k lodke ne bdia muscle car leli latest phone le liya but uski installment deni b padti h... Vo kaise doge jab ap minimum wage par kam krte ho... Isliye Piche mat lago bhai. Dur k dhol suhavne hote hai... CANADA is the biggest scam that is sold to immigrants.... If someone has a backup in India then they can think about coming here spend some years of their precious life here otherwise plz don't even think about coming here.... Say if you buy a bicycle for your commute which is a good convenient and healthy option but still it is of no use of it. Reason is bikes get stolen here very easily. I am saying this coz I have seen this with my own eyes. Police is incompetent here. They will arrest you but will leave you after 15 minutes after making you sit in your car. I know people who have 5 6 DUI’s and they still drive drunk. They do it coz they know the shortcomings of police. They know jails are full here. Checkout what a high ranked police official said about cars being stollen in big cities of Ontario (its on youtube) for which he was trolled badly. An average Canadian make $2200 to $2500 per month if they work @minimum wage, which is below the poverty line in canada again you can research about it if don't believe me. Teenagers ko paise ni count karna ata agar kisi ko paise dene b pad jaye... 15 16 year old kids ask their parents how to pay and how much cash they need to pay, Canada is Not at all good education wise. I dont even want to talk about the health care system of Canada it literally sucks. I got my family doctor after 6 years. India me raho Canada ghumne aoo vapis chle jao.. The wealthy won't stop until they have everything! The US and Canada suffers from this because of EXTREME Capitalism! Your tax money goes to subsides for large corporations and not the people. This needs balance to improve the social contract. The rich buy everything up and charge the masses whatever they please, not what the market will bear! People go into huge debt just trying to live! (and they make more money from that!) And then they lobby to pay the least amount of tax when the common people pay more! It is all out of balance, there needs to be a better balance between Socialism and Capitalism.... not toward Oligarchy and Fascism! The age of the Robber Barons has returned!

Germany doesn't have a labor shortage. Currently 700.000 open positions vs. 2,6 million unemployed. If corporations need skilled labor, they should start training people, and pay them a fair salary.

For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. The difference is that you too in the ROC are being drowned. I am a Quebec nationalist, it’s in my guts. My family has roots going back to New France. Canada has always been an imposition for us just as we to the First Nations I guess. That’s unfortunately neither here nor there at this point in history and I apologize for it. I could blame the Trudeau government but any government in Canada would do the same for neoliberal/conservative ideological reasons. We have a neoconservative government right now in Quebec. They have practically killed our nation from the inside in order to discredit the social democratic and socialist tendencies that did so much to develop this nation. These are the ones who would literally step on their grandmothers neck to attain higher status in life. Since for me this place is where I feel the most a part of and have understood long ago that the ROC had done everything to negate us as a people a nation and the dream of an independent country with close ties to the ROC is and probably never was in the cards, I have started hoping for some kind of political union with mother France since it has become painfully clear that Canada as a strong bicultural self respecting truly independent country is a bygone notion. Just look at our military, it’s a monumental farce. Look at the insane levels of immigration, we cannot support this!! PERIOD!!! Look at way we genuflect to the US’s economic visions without questioning anymore. The Quebec people are a nation, Canada unfortunately is only a notion. For me getting out of Canada is also a reality except since this place never was one of a cash cow there only to send funds to some family elsewhere I believe we Québécois and Québécoise, with the respect for the First Nations that we have always owed them, need to go our way. So leave Canada, in fact there are too many of you already. We are not the US, we cannot afford the social chaos of savage predatory capitalism. What is bringing this confederation down is exactly that. Wanting to cram Canada, all its constituent parts into an Merican hole. No matter the price. Goodbye Canada you hardly wanted to know us.

Most of the problems listed do exist in several countries.\nIf you are an immigrant in a country for work focus just on that and try to move out when you are done. (Due to declining population Germany isn't prioritizing such people)\nIf you are an immigrant and planning to settle in the country for good then you need to invest and learn their system, culture etc..\nIts not easy or pleasant at first but you need to go through that for your future in that country.\nStop complaining and make the best out of it.

Math is simple: countries like Turkey pay almost the same salary in euros, yet the cost of living there is much lower. In countries like the USA, Canada, or certain Arab nations, the salaries can be 5-10 times higher. In places like Turkey, there are plenty of affordable yet high-quality restaurants, as well as effective marketing strategies that appeal to skilled professionals. To retain talent in Germany, you need to offer something special. If you’re paying a top-level engineer the equivalent of a hairdresser’s wage, why would they stay unless they’ve developed deep connections with the community or environment? Friendships and relationships can be crucial factors in retaining talent.\n\nBut with this current pay structure, I’m really not sure what to say. If you put high educated people in a bad position, plenty of contries offering them higher life conditions. It is same for Germans, Germany creating very good engineers, doctors, etc and they are leaving the country.\n\nMaybe instead of creating making migration easier. It is aslo good idea to retain yours.

they should really try to find a system where people immigrate to places where it is actually needed OR it could bring economic and demographic development. i.e. cities without bike delivery services

I see so many Canadians complaining about healthcare. But 80% of the reasons people need healthcare can be avoided.\n\nIt's us breaking the system, by living unhealthy lifestyles. Don't remove the blame from yourself in that area. Because as a nutritionist, 80% of the reasons people see a doctor can be avoided by eating healthier!!!

Philippines had 115 Million people and Canada had 30 million only. Why is Canada even up against it? They literally need many people to make their economy grow fast.

An alternative might be to stay and make a difference as Canada needs intelligent people like yourself to be the solution. On the other hand at 33 I understand that you can't wait for things to change as it is a turning point in your life. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.

Canada is really still not that bad of a place to live. I am 38 years old suffer with epilepsy own my own house, I am married. My job is Medicore paying and very hard work. Me and my wife have plenty of disposable income at the end of the month to do what we want with or save it. A lot of people need to learn how to budget money. Stay away from credit cards, personal loans , expensive cars basically useless shit. Yes canada is expensive but there ways around it. Example stop living in expensive cities. Find skill sets around your job if you want extra money trust me there many of them. I make more money just on my hobbies then I do working, guess what tax free. Health care not the best but it is still really not that bad yet. Point being if I can handle Canada you can to trust me I am nobody special. I just live within my means and have hustles on the side with just high school education.

I see a lot of Europeans are having problems with Indians Immigrating into these countries. Its YOUR problem not OURS. Canada, Australia, heck even USA were not white countries, they were colonised by Europeans pushing aside indigenous people. You guys invade the world illegally and hate when same happens with you, how hypocritic. And we aren't even migrating illegally (those who are need to be punished).

Then let me tell you about Ukraine my Ukrainian lady, I lived back home for 30 years and moved to Canada for 28 years I live in Ukraine on and off for 9 years I have more friends in Ukraine than back home and Canada together with the most beautiful warm good hearted people I ever known maybe when the war is finished you can try your luck in Ukraine what a beautiful country don't believe me? ask your parents if they don't like something they will tell you on your face I feel like a king there they all love me respect me if I need help they will help with no questions, good luck to you my Ukrainian lady ?

Funny how Canada is being criticized by the same problems. High taxes, very expensive (or non-existent) housing and salaries not very good. Well... maybe that´s why they need more people too. Canada is bringing 500k people annually, but right now we don´t really have jobs nor housing for them, and lots of Canadians are unemployed. And people want to see less immigration as well.

The first thing Canada needs to do to turn things around is to stop being a lapdog to the US. But it's almost impossible because the people don't have power in their hands anymore, the same as the Americans. The governments are infested with corrupt officials. You're making the right choice.

No need to demonize Canada like this,it might not be the perfect place to be and yes this crisis exists,But there are people who work their way through the system, Canada presents a great opportunity for a far richer lifestyle than in India,Of course there are a few downsides but not everything.I have been living in this country for the past 5 years and there is a huge potential in this country.Just need to be careful,And not everyone in Canada is injecting or investing drugs,Buying a house is expensive,That doesn't mean people live on the streets,They rent out.Due to sudden influx of immigrants and refugees there is a housing and job issue,But eventually due to measures in place this will be revolved Im sure Canada will bounce back and create more opportunities and affordable housing in the coming years

Although things have changed since the pandemic, I still feel safe in all the major Canadian cities. I’m doing OK, but unlike a lot of people I don’t take vacations, don’t own a car - I hate driving - and haven’t needed to use the medical system for awhile. I’m optimistic about the future, and am content with most things about Canada. Well, maybe not the weather.\n\nBut I can understand moving abroad to explore other options. I’d probably set my sights on northern Europe or Iceland and a university degree there.\n\nIt’s definitely about the journey. And the best journeys are the ones that are adventures. Multiculturalism does t work if one culture takes over remember Canada only had a population of 40million.. India has like 1.5 billion people who want out... for those who say i the coments that a country needs to be monoethnic to be safe one question remains. How do legal migrants who go to work there make the country unsafe? I'm portuguese, we have many people from different ethnicities, and we are the 4th safest country in the world. You don't need to be monoethnic to be safe. In our case it would be historically innacurate with all the portuguese speaking countries around the world that have adopted most traces of the portuguese culture. Our country hasn't been monoethnic since the 1600s. One thing is not wanting illegals to cross easily another one is the blatant hatred and discrimination that I see in the comments.

Many of the problems you mentioned in the video could be slowly fixed by a better government. Canada certainly needs change, but it has potential very few countries have. We have pretty much every natural resources in abundance. There are many smart and well educated people here. All we need is good leadership i think.

Nah, you're not leaving Canada. At the very least, you're not giving up your Canadian passport at least. You are leaving Canada because of the situation in Vancouver, where you don't even live?? Nah. you just want to be a non-resident and pay less tax. What if you can't travel anymore?? If homeless people situation bothers you, USA likely is not gonna be your choice...unless you're doctor or something. Then again you're not as far as we know. It's funny that some comments said Canada is becoming a socialist country and yet other suggest moving to Vietnam, a communist country (yes it's still ruled by a communist party) LOL. At the end of the day, wherever you're moving to, you move there because you can be a big fish in a small pond, and you don't need to face problems that the native residents there have to.

I had the same issues as an expat in other countries and other expats who I talked to too. It's always the same.\n\nLanguage barrier:\nFor day to day activities it's less of a problem in bigger cities. For most jobs you simply need a higher level of a language for team work. If you're motivated I believe you can get to C1 in 6 months, with good learning techniques. That said you're probably not motivated. Learning a new language feels like hard work and you feel awkward speaking it.\n\nHard to meet friends:\nSame for all other countries. Create your own social circles or try sports, similar interests to get to know people. \n\nHow people treat you:\nIf you feel unwelcome, it's probably just all in your head because you're not accustomed to a different culture, so you feel like a foreigner. Got nothing to do with Germany, but with being an expat. \n\nRacism:\nProbably less of a problem in western Germany and bigger cities. Avoid east Germany. Also see previous point.

People need to get out of the business of human necessities. This kind of behavior will constantly happen as long as there is that much profit in doing this.

I think it's good that we run this kind of story. Most landlords especially for condos like this one in Toronto, are owned by regular folks who still work a job and have budgets and families. They aren't greedy, they aren't big corporations; they're just people who bought investment properties and want to rent them out for a price. Canada needs landlords because not every can or even wants to buy real estate.\n\nWhen you see stories like this, which I think are outliers, they're good reminders that being a landlord is risky and income properties don't print money. It's also a reminder to good tenants (which are most tenants) that your landlord isn't being paranoid when they ask for references, proof of income, etc. They would rather scare you off then be saddled with a non-paying, non-leaving tenant (rare as they may be) and they don't know you (and you don't know them).

3rd generation here, I can retire next year as long as I leave Canada. If I remain, I will work until dead because it is so very expensive and getting more so under the cult of climate change. It pains me to witness what our governments have allowed to happen in our communities. Drug abuse is rampant, mental health is staggering, youth are medicated, gender confused and climate terrified. A homeless shelter for drug addicts is being built less than a 4 minute walk from my home which is in a seniors park....we will all be victimized by theft and vandalism. We are also divided thanks to trudeau who has labelled and categorized us so deeply he ran elections based on divisions. We are no longer the kind polite people we once were. Churches burning epitomizes the moral or lack of moral ground we live and act upon. So I am moving next year to central America, Panama most likely...I can afford to retire there, never need to heat my home nor worry trudeau is going to ban my furnace and my car. It saddens me to no end for I have grandchildren, 5 generations, of investment in this country.

move to the Yukon or rural Saskatchewan......no tent cities.....safety..... no need to leave, probably a regrettable move. Theres reasons people want to live here and not there. Come back soon.

A country that need more educated folks should allow it . Canada need people correct? As for pakistan ; they should figure out why people want to leave . Perhaps it’s something to do with corruption and leadership and a shit show .

Canadians are the last people to complain about immigrants, a huge portion of their doctors, engineers, nurses are immigrants. Even with that the shortage of these jobs is huge. You have to wait months if you need a surgery for example.\nI think immigrants should hold a strike for a month and see how Canada will function.

There is no labor shortage (Fachkräftemangel) in Germany. This is a fairy tale (Märchen) no one believes. They just need more people who don't know the system to feed their low-wage market. Please, don't fall into that trap. Look for better countries.

We don't need any more people here, unless those people are highly skilled professionals in high demand - like doctors. The majority of people here are struggling, housing is unaffordable and in short supply, our health care system is a complete joke, inflation is out of control in parity to wage increases, and the liberal administration is incompetent, corrupt and wasteful.

I mean, you come to a country and you have to adjust and learn the language. Pretty straightforward, and most of us are doing it.\n\nBut when on the other side you have people who do not understand the effort and have no patience for it, it is a frustrating experience. It is also annoying that you know they need you here, they know they need you, but none of that is reflected in the way people coming in are treated.\n\nA lot of us also come with skills and accomplishments behind us. And then we need to play fish-out-of-water for a while, speak a language in which we know we sound incompetent and we can see someone underestimating us (because they lack the understanding of what our situation brings). And last but not least, a serious problem with patience and empathy.\n\nThese are all issues you will find in other countries too. But man, Germans are not good at dealing with it. And more and more it seems to me they do not even care (other than the few german friends I have, who always make me second guess my generalisation).

People here are complaining about the need to communicate in German even when they are high skilled professionals who speak good or excellent English (?). Just wonder how it is the other way round: is it possible for an innovator/highly professional worker to find a well paid job in the USA or Canada just with weak or mediocre language skill in English but with excellent/good skills in some other languages? Are other languages appreciated in English speaking countries when it comes to salary or position?\nSomehow I doubt it.\nYet there are highly paid special workers in the industry (mining, building) that actually do not have so good language skills but can their job.

so they need more people but they are not building more houses. What does that have to do with immigrants ?

migration is huge problem here in Europe we are getting Syrian, Afghanistan mostly man migrants that are causing huge problems, and hurting local people, we need to close our borders
