Yeah it's hard to find a job and keep the job in Canada. Even with a job that doesn't require education and anybody can do, I come across someone who is not happy with me being there and they try to find reasons why I shouldn't work there ?it happened 16 years ago when I first got into workforce and it happened not too long ago again. I was inventory clerk counting products at different stores. I believe I was an accurate counter and someone who recounted them told my manager I wasn't good. She said many of them I counted were either off or she couldn't understand my writing. And the manager had to have a talk with me. I can honestly say I was better counter than she was. And I feel very confident I was very careful with counting that day too. But she thought otherwise. I couldn't bear working with someone or some people who didn't appreciate my work or my presence there so I had to quit. It will happen again and I thought it wouldn't matter how accurate I am at counting. One of my Canadian colleagues once told me that it's okay for immigrants to live in Canada but it's not okay to work with them. I don't know if that's a fact but in my experience I have encountered some people like that along the way.

Africans being forced into slavery by their own people is greedy and heartbreaking and that cruelty is exactly what we have today. In Africa many blacks had to suffer through famine and had to eat insects, there have been many cases of genocide, slave trade and HIV. After the Republicans died freeing the slaves, blacks were afforded a whole new life. It hasn't been easy but for blacks, life before BLM was encouraging blacks to attend college and get great jobs and the people in these companies accepted and even made friends with them. These motivated blacks were a minority though and the reality is that many backs wasted their life wanting to be rap stars and gangsters...the latter has increased this stupidity a hundred fold since BLM. Stop talking about blacks, how you perceive they are being treated, slavery, reparations and what ever else you have up your sleeve and start focusing on the very youth who will be on this planet when we are are old and helpless..

Every country has their own rules and one should obey it… if wearing dangerous weapons is a tradition then one should do it in their home country… expecting other countries should accept the same does not make sense … it’s like someone coming to my home and behave in the way they want… I don’t accept as I have my own rules at my home.

Nice Job by Police or security officer. In America many Students had died due to arms related violence. No one should be allowed to enter educational institutions with any kind of Arms. The kirpan is supposed to be a weapon of defence only. But how could Police officers knows about it with first encounter to it. So, Police officer has done a preventive measure. Whe you're in a different country, the responsibility is yours to know or find out what the laws of the land are. You cannot expect a whole nation of others to suddenly become educated about your religious practices and make way for you . If they do, that great, but it's not their responsibility. Also, having a weapon on you in an environment where others don't will put them at unease and also give you the advantage over them, in case of an altercation. How do they know if you are mentally sane or not and that you will not suddenly use it on them. If he had to wear it for religious purposes, its his responsibility to have informed the university( which he may have) , but also to insist that they inform everyone else and the police of it, so as to not raise any tensions.

Chicago has globally famous architecture, Vancouver does not - Chicago is famed as an incredible city of architecture all throughout Europe. It's certainly not an ugly city in the way Vancouver is. And it's very typical for a Canadian to have an anti-American inferiority complex that takes for granted the advantages the US has over Canada, one of those being a more robust history, a much more powerful and influential culture, and better urban character and architecture. the US has tons of globally famous cities, Chicago being one of them, and the city is certainly pretty. Yes, I love Canada but the taxes are crazy! We only visited and paid multiple taxes on items, was crazy. Eight hours to see a doctor in ER isn't bad, here in America you can be in the ER for 24 hours or longer depending on why you are there and which hospital you go to, so please don't go to a county hospital, I have left went home or to another one. We learned that the cost of living is much higher and the cost of food, especially if you eat out, and the cost of gas was way higher than in America.Thanks for the information, very informative.

I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. This country is awesome. \n\nI think that those 2 woman are just boring period. They probably stay at home and do nothing. \n\nTheir is so much to do in Montréal .\n\nYou got endless festivals during the summer, outdoor activities during the winter. You have to try new things, \n\nTry skiing during the winter. Do some yoga. This is the same situation here in the US, I don’t think the government is trying to take wealth from people unnecessarily. Belgium has one of the highest income tax cap of 57.8%. It is just the way the Western systems are. The best thing to do is to make sure before you immigrate you plan to go into a high paying field. That’s how you create a good stream of income and stay in middle to upper class of society.

Most of the western countries are fashioned same way. I have similar difficulty on moving to UK few years ago, but now singing a different song. No one get rich by working 9 to 5, the system is designed to keep majority in the middle class, it depends on how you structure your life, in order to break that cycle. Taxes keep society running, it keeps public institutions working. Life is not easy, you get what you create.

Taxes are meant to run the country's affaires but people are just mean. You love it when you are broke and are able to benefit free services from the government but when you start making some money and are asked to contribute so that the country can keep up with all it's programs you start complaining. Come back to Africa, there is always a trade-off. No good service and less taxes. Just keep in mind that Africa not developing is our choice otherwise the cost of development is that, in a way ( higher taxes and government's direct control over people's affaires). I thank God anyway that you people can complain of better living condition but I would rather get busy working hard in Canada than not finding a decent job in Africa or bare the cold whether than sleeping hungry in Africa. I just feel the best ways to appreciate your income is when you understand the taxing and at thesame time appreciate the taxing also. Always go for the very high paying jobs and don't see any figure as high unless you understand the taxing system. And I love the fairness in these countries, no one literally feels above the other all because of the amount of wealth you have accertained. A country where money does not solve it all like back in Nigeria.

I don't know people just like traveling and living where they find a suitable lifestyle. I think the main reason people complain so much about racism in the USA is because of the media and very small percentage of people complain to other people world wide, overall the entire people of America have people from the entire world and people look bad on any group who says things like white this black that when talking in a bad way and not addressing there own color of people like themselves. You started the video with an opinion not a fact. You can In fact gain wealth here. You have access to RRSPs and tax Free Savings accounts to help with Taxea for people earning over 6 figures. No one has tries to take your money, the policies are clear as day. You also have access to the Canadian stock market where they will allow you to keep 50% of your excess and tax the other 50%. Your statement needs way more context and a broader discussion. Stil love the video but we need to state all the facts. Also the mentality of me paying taxes and taking care of people is what causes my home country on Jamaica to be in trouble. Your little tax money ain't taking care of anyone. There are over 23 million people here trust me we are giving cents to initiatives in Canada. Canada is still the best country to lived and raised a family regardless of high taxes one can still put a way something for rainy day is one of those things and Canada help other country refuge's so maybe the taxes is part of the package I would never give away Canada for no where in this world you had to just make the best of life because we won't be around for ever give god thanks for that country

I don't agree with most of what you ladies counted as negative points! and I'm an immigrant living in Vancouver for the past 26 years. This is a multicultural society and a very successful one, we all mingle with each other and we love it! Loneliness?!! Come on! Have you been to Europe anywhere?!! :)) you won't last a month! Taxes are not too high at all and healthcare does work. I had a brain tumor removal for free and they admitted me after 2 days! If these don't make you feel right at home here, nothing will! I'm American born of Haitian descent and I think these type of videos are annoying. I find that Africans/Nigerians love to country hop while adding little to nothing in the way of cultural and social betterment in their temporarily adopted countries. When I travel it's out of a genuine love of travel versus constant economic movement. Stop expecting that one country is going to give you everything that you're looking for. There are pros and cons to living anywhere. Happiness and fulfillment comes from within self and not always geographical borders.

It's easier and faster to get your papers in Canada than the US which means you can start working your way back to your original profession. The fact that Canada is immigrant friendly and has a large immigrant population makes it easier for one to go into any profession with your Nigerian certificates and a little more Canadian education. As a lawyer, I'm yet to meet a Nigerian trained lawyer who got a job in a top firm in the US. It's probably easier in Canada

Was just staying @ Extended Stay America in Boise, Idaho. Full of illegal imagrants from Mexico living out of the Extended Stay! The whole place was full of these young, adult, men from Mexico that were all extremely intoxicated! At any given time there would be between 10 and 20 of them in the lobby drinking beer and the whole place smelled like meth! It seemed like every couple of hours or so someone would stumble over to the store across the way and bring back a 24 pack/case of beer! I saw three different vans with out of state license plates all show up at the Extended Stay America, full of these Mexican men, all exiting these vans and heading straight towards the lobby and then retreating to their rooms. There must have been a 50+ of these Mexican imagrants living out of this one Extended Stay America in Boise Idaho.

This is the reality we face after the excitement of moving to Canada fades off. The worst for me is the fact that you get this 'big job' that pays well and after it all, govt has a way of redistributing it. It's really frustrating and it discourages some people for looking for higher paying jobs bcos at the end, govt still takes it. These are very valid reasons and I might just be one of those planning to leave at some point?

My wife, my 3 kids and I used to like Vancouver but not anymore!!! The weather is why we plan to leave for good but also the expensive rents! I also heard about horror stories at many hospitals (and yes, I have worked in Africa and to be honest, Africans hospitals are way more functional than the ones in Canada in terms of human aspect… there they care, Canadians do not give a shit about anyone!!! And I am saying this as a Belgian!!! I have some African colleagues at work here and at least 80 percent of them either want to go back to Africa (one is actually going to start an Afro business there and build his own house) or move to Europe (one of them plans to live to my homeland Belgium and two others in France as apparent the pensions there are way better than the Canadian one) as soon as they get enough experience in canada! None of us at work , including me, want to retire or get old here in Canada! For me personally, it is the Canadian extreme loneliness and lack of willingness to open to others that really shuts me down… I am fed up and and tired of paying taxes in a country where some (not all) hospitals and some retirement homes treat patients like … objects, not human beings! I now understand (as before I did not) why even some of my African colleagues are looking forward to go back to Africa or to some of them, immigrate to Europe! .. none of us want to be left alone and depressed in this so highly individualistic and unfriendly, falsely “cool” country called Canada… a country that claims America and France are racist countries when not even one CEO in Canada is coloured! Only reason Ontario is not number one is because Alberta and Quebec has way better cost of living and less crime rate due to the homeless crisis we have here as the cost of living in Ontario is the highest in Canada. \n\nGreat video

Let's not forget Quebec gets over $13 billion a year from Alberta to pay for that francophone entitlement! I think AB is definitely number one, Alberta has a more diversified economy than people give it credit for and the people are way nicer than Quebec! Oh man, this all sounds very worrisome...\n\nI've been working together remotely with one of Sony Pictures Imageworks's supervisors and she's been super happy with me and my work. She's switching companies soon since she found an even better opportunity elsewhere and is already making steps getting me on the team. She starts the hiring process in August.\n\nShe said I should fix a holiday visa and that if the company is still happy with me after 12 months they would most likely sponsor my stay. So yeah, everything seemed pretty solid!\n\nBut now that I'm watching this video I'm getting scared that I might be missing something that wouldn't allow me to work there. I know of a few taxi drivers that have law degrees or a PhD in the way they get treated is astounding the young need to be educated not just the Young the ignorant people say they're taking our jobs they're taking our jobs because they're work ethic is 100 times better in some cases in most cases people that are from a country that has benefited them wouldn't know damn thing about a hard life. I have experienced or found amount of trauma in my life in and out of foster homes the day I was born adopted at age 9 back in foster care , addicted to opiates I thought life couldn't get any worse I am now 6 years clean from opiates I find myself among the luckiest women or person on this Earth. Good for you two for educating people thank you I hope you ladies get everything you have worked hard for and then some even though what you're saying sounds unfair it is unfair it sounds to me extremely difficult you remain hopeful and humble. I left Vancouver 32 years ago, bought a one way ticket to Asia as I was sure I was never gonna move back. Don't miss it at all, especially the rain and taxes. I can retire pretty much anywhere in the world and Canada is not in my list. Maybe just visit Van during the summers to see my old friends from time to time but that's about it.
