The Canadian government makes alot of money in immigration fees from immigrants but before they were bringing people from all over the world but for past decade it happens to be alot of east Indians, i lived in Brampton for 20 years but decided to move out in 2021 because it didn’t feel like i was living in Canada anymore thanks to Mr Trudeu who gave them ez pass , all the jobs were finished, employers only wanted to hire newcomers so they can exploit them n then you see them protesting on roads, residential areas for not getting paid by employers,failing in college, visa renewal issues, This was another reason why you see so many homeless people and higher rent rates! The government should have balance of jobs before they start bringing immigrants to come and undercut the wages

Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\nThere are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions, welfare, unemployment benefits, disability benefits and the numerous other programs, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Canada doesn't need these useless PR mill students with Zero skill, only stealing low skill jobs from Canadians. Canadian high school students don't even get the same customer service jobs, because these people are all in the same role. As you said we need sustainable skilled immigrants. Not a good timing because it’s recession the competition of job opportunities you earned Canadian dollars yet same currency of expenses, that’s why massive deportation happened because Canadian local is facing dark days because immigrants is blocking their job opportunity.

It's time for Canada to deport these people they are the reason that the country is in a housing crisis, a major strain on our already strained health care, the reason Canadian students struggle to find employment, not to mention how difficult it has made it for some canadian university students to have access to the relevant classes because they fill up with foreign students. This ends up cost the Canadian students more money and time to complete their degree, it's not fair and as a parent of a Canadian university student I am beyond frustrated with the state ofbthis country because of the overwhelming amount of immigrants here, and to say that they are adding value to this country by filling jobs and growing the economy by putting the money they earn back into our economy is naive and false because the jobs they fill now require 8 employees to the same job 4 employees were able to handle before these immigrants came along and as for the money they earn, while that gets sent directly back to the country they originated from. Also not to mention the crime rate increase as well as the increase of scams. They are offended by the truth but to bad, the truth hurts and life long ( not 5 or 6 months) tax paying Canadian's are the ones hurting the most. The majority of these people are not escaping from war torn countries. Get out Go home because canadian's want theirs back!!

Labor shortages are not caused by lack of people, but the lack of people willing to do the job for various reason like low wages. Instead incentivizing existing Canadians with higher wages, better working condition, etc., Canada chooses to accept more (desperate) immigrants.\n\nThere are definitely too many immigrants accepted in the last decade. It is True there are way too many Indian people living in Brampton. The big problem is that the new influx of immigrants don't want to adapt to Canadian Culture. They speak their own language and don't care to learn English. Even when I apply for jobs most of the time they want somebody who can speak Punjabi.

We are the ones to blame for being naive enough to bring them in with any expectation that they will assimilate. You don’t think these groups talk amongst themselves and laugh at how absolutely easy it is to infiltrate, assemble on mass and push out other groups in key industries so they can run them? They get a student visa and then when they graduate and get a degree from a Canadian university. They get jobs and work visas. Idk what trudeaus goal is with this huge influx of immigrants. Yeah so what if they've been here for five years, it doesn't matter, they said they were here to study, not for immigration status, so they should go back home, and that's what's fair. Toll on students? I’m confused. Say it will take 75 years to pay off their debt? Then don’t come to Canada. If you are rich come to Canada. Want to get an education in a foreign country. Don’t expect a job. Don’t expect privileges if you aren’t Canadian. Seriously is this a shock? Don’t send your kids if you can’t afford it. Don’t expect to move to Canada and get Canadians to pay. It just seems that the expectations are you come as a student you stay as you prefer.

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

Canada is taking in to many immigrants from (India,China,Philippines,Africa and other nation) which will force Canadians out of a job and created cheaper labour that under estimated the standard of living. Many of these people are none Christian nation and will be a threat to Canada and other part of the west. The question asked towards the end is something Canadian society needs to ponder upon. Frankly the economic well being at this point in this country is basically a Ponzi scheme. Just not enough people to tax and fund the well fare services anyways. When I was an international student it was a PRIVILEGE to go and study. You came with enough money for each year - otherwise, no visa. Stop giving visas to students that have no money and need to work to survive. It’s not a right to come study and Canadian students that need these jobs while studying can’t get them.

The most concerning thing to me is that they're taking jobs away from local Canadians who were born and raised here and thus worsening the lives of other Canadians as well, it's a domino effect that'll change what Canada looks like 20-50 years from now.

Every student that comes on a student permit needs to be able to support themselves completely without taking jobs from Canadians. Ur here to study not take a job. They should tighten regulations regarding study permits and issue visas only to genuine students who want to grow in this beautiful country, rather than those planning to work at pizza shops for the rest of their lives. We also need to crack down on the aggressive sales practices of immigration consultants in developing nations like India. Let's not forget the big culprits behind this: the admissions officers of the colleges, who fully endorse these practices to meet their revenue targets by any means possible, all under the watchful eyes of the government and IRCC.\n\nI've witnessed this firsthand. I openly challenge those consultants and Canadian college admission officers to be upfront with prospective and future students and tell them in person, before accepting their applications, that a study permit does not guarantee permanent residency in Canada. Explain the rules behind that and see what happens next—people will stop coming to Canada altogether. Consultants and colleges need to be honest with their prospective students and not just include those important facts in a fine print under a bunch of paperwork. \n\nAnd my god, the programs most colleges sell—useless diplomas that are of no use in their home countries either. They won't even get a job as a busboy using those useless diplomas and certificates back home....\n\nI'd love to talk with you if you like, Harrison, as I'm a former international student and now a proud Canadian citizen.

PLEASE DON'T push Pierre on immigration! I don't have proof but I'm sure it's just his strategy. I can't believe that a smart conservative like him isn't in favor of cutting back on immigration. He may (and has) even said some pro immigration things but I'm sure this is only to get as many Canadians as possible to vote for him so he gets the most powerful majority in the house. The larger the majority the easier to pass his conservative laws.\n\nIf we push him too early to say what we want to hear it may adversely affect the quality of the Conservative win we get. Why? i am a citizen, an IT professional. it has been 4 months and i have not been able to find a job. i have 12 years experience with multiple certs. IT field has been flooded by indians. they get into HR then only hire there own. they have whatsapp groups, where they share jobs, with each other and ask to apply, then refer each other within the company. 1 indian is hired and then whole company becomes indian. Canadian jobs should be for Canadian Citizens first. Stop immigration, stop renewing temp work permits, stop allowing students to work. we Canadians cannot find a job.

We need to train Canadians trades job and not so many tech jobs.

You have no idea how silly everything is in the job market. I am a computing / finance professional who is looking to switch to a new job. The first question they ask is whether I speak Punjabi? Of course, I don't! Then they tell me to find a new job. My friend who applied to Walmart got rejected because he doesn't speak Punjabi. My friend's son is trying to get a summer job at KFC but the Indian manager wont hire him because he is not Indian!!! We Canadians want to work but can't find work because they wont hire us. There is no skill shortage in Canada, just selective employers who only hire people on student permits and work visas.

My sister's husband was sent to the USA for his job. His company wanted him to work down there for a while. He got a 5 year work VISA. They paid taxes in the US, and it didn't give them the right to stay forever. They paid income tax and property taxes. She wasn't allowed to get a job so she renovated the home they bought, and made a profit when they sold it. So after his 5 year Visa was over, they moved back home up here. Just because people contribute and pay taxes while they hold a work Visa, doesn't give them the right to stay once that Visa has expired. MY SISTER AND HER HUSBAND HAD TO LEAVE THE USA AFTER HIS 5 YEAR WORK VISA EXPIRED. LAWS MATTER!! OUR CANADIAN RULES MUST BE ENFORCED TOO!!!!
