If there is one place racism doesn't exist, it's my country India. We all treat everybody with equal hate regardless of skin. It's every man for himself here. But at the same time, this country has the highest amount of rapes.

Old people cost an endless amount of money. And they contribute no MONEY to the country.

That computer test proves nothing...people relate to people who are most similar to them. Period. \n\nLets pull the data on how many black people discriminate against black people. For example, do black landlords who own and rent expensive apartments treat every applicant the same? Will they accept more whites or more blacks? Will they show preference to people with higher incomes? What about single moms? The disabled? Obviously business people are going to make decisions which they believe will produce the best outcome. \n\nOur behavior is based largely on past experience and knowledge. If I get burned 80% of the time I touch the stove, then I will learn to be cautious 100% of the time I go to touch it. But Im NOT going to be cautious when I touch the refrigerator or washing machine. \n\nI will add that it is 100% unacceptable to mistreat others based on outward appearances. Every person, no matter their race, dress, age, etc., deserves dignity and a certain amount of respect.

Im white and i was profiled at the pharmacy. My mom and i had the same surgery at the same time and when we went together to get our perscriptions i was told they were out (pain meds) my mom was filling the exact medication and amounts as mine and they filled her meds immediately after telling me they were out..they had no idea we were together or related..I was 60 and my mom was 80 at the time..

It seems very strange behaviour by Canada when you only have to look at the places where these people come from to gauge the future for a western society with them in it. Their beliefs and their ideology demands so many transgressions of our laws that you have to make a decision whether you modify them or us or you just kinda sweep their continual law breaking under the carpet in order to placate them and the lefties who demand we embrace their idea of a social utopia which isn’t complete without an intolerant 7th century primitive culture in it.\nAll of which amounts to ignoring our own constitution and laws, which is just not acceptable because it violates the prime doctrine of the separation of powers in favour of an imported ideology that proclaims it is above the law just because it says so. And has assumed this capacity without due electoral process in accordance with existing laws and the constitution, which btw is illegal.\n\nGermany found an answer through an unelected body, the court, which is acceptable to them, they modified their own law to suit Islamic Sharia law ignoring their own constitution in the process. Germany has already modified their freedom of speech and the right to protest if it conflicts with Sharia in some fashion so Germany is on a downward spiral into totalitarianism against the majority and its own constitution. \nWhat will follow is anarchy if nobody in authority is going to adhere to the constitution and the law.

People think that living in foreign countries us good and relaxing and you enjoy a lot. Well this is not true. I have one of my friends who told me the way he lives and works and studies in Canada. Believe me, you won't like to hear what he told me. He does two part time jobs starting from morning to afternoon at 3 and does another one from 4 to 8 and he barely gets 4 to 5 hours to study. At times when there are exams or tests in the college, he has to skip the work and go to the College but when he skips, he feels from deep inside that for today I don't have even this amount of money and believe me, staying in Canada or any other county is not as easy as eating a plate of rice and on the first time when you go to look for a job, you will get it at McDonald's or any type of restaurants. And the work my friend does is to cut meat at McDonald's in Canada.

I have pale skin and live in my native country. I can’t count the amount of times Arab shop assistants have been following me or made other ill-concealed attempts at monitoring me while in department stores. \n\nI dress nicely and have a tidy appearance so there was nothing to explain that. If they had been pale-skinned and I was dark-skinned, everyone would say it was racism.\n\nCould it just be stupidity?

The Canadian court should fine him twice the amount that he got illegally from his clients. If he has made tens of millions of dollars and yet he was only fined a few hundred thousand dollars, then there is no justice. It is not even a deterrent for the second or third or fourth Wang. If the price of making millions of dollars was to sit in jail for two years, then there is no justice at all. Toughen up the penalty.

This was a horribly done story. It doesn't talk enough about the money or incentives. What financial incentive did these fake immigrants have to pay thousands of dollars to become a Canadian citizen. They briefly mention a low income benefit but don't even basically explain to what it amounts. Was Canada paying these fake citizens thousands of dollars a year in cash benefits for fake reports on low income earnings? It's like doing a story on a mass murderer, how he murdered and giving no background on his mental health or motivation.

When applicants applied on their own to avoid the exorbitant fees charged, the immigration office give them hard time only to find out that agencies can easily manipulate the system thus the deserving applicants won't get an approval. The 27,000 quota for 2019 has been met for only 11 minutes. so how can the ordinary people compete with the agencies who's business is to push their own clients to get processed? Wang only served 2 yrs out of 7, does that mean he paid for the remaining 5 yrs imprisonment ? The penalty of $900,000++ is such a small amount to compensate of what he did and so he will keep on doing it because he can get rich easily.

In spite of his hardship, in his own country, he was able to save up $15,000 US dollars? Incredible! With that amount of money you can buy a life of a king, down there, why the hell spend it all to come to Canada only to live from paycheck to paycheck? I'd much rather stay where the cost of living is cheap and....and you can save up $15,000 US dollars! In fact, I think I will move down there. Say what you will but Canadians have worked and paid in CPP and paid taxes all their working lives. These migrants who walk across our border or the ones Trudeau has allowed into the country the majority of them are not sponsored by family or orginizations have never worked or paid taxes are getting the same amount as us. By these comments, Canadians hate immigrants even more than American white supremacists. This man is scared for himself and his family. His case is just ignorance. He doesn’t know the proper ways to go about it. Him getting a lawyer and what not has showed he’s a bit smarter than many immigrants seeking asylum but most cases people don’t know the proper way to migrate out of their countries. They just know that there are better and safer opportunities elsewhere. As for everyone whining about why he doesn’t speak English, not EVERYONE CAN LEARN AT THE SAME PACE. There’s people that live in other countries for years and only know enough to get around and then theres people that just pick up on languages In less than a year. The language doesn’t matter. Yes there are laws that should be followed but do people even consider morality? you need a certain amount of money to live on for 2 years plus job prospect plus no criminal record a good edjucation to come here legally so Canadians that pay super high taxes do not need to worry about taking care of people that think they can just come here and exspect its people.to support them and there families .You cant get welfare for 2 years either.We need to keep Canada a.smart and wealthy country .Yes we can help some in very bad situations but we are.only as strong as our weakest people . Many if not all of Canada's cities have now become heavily populated with immigrant and refugees alike. Diversity can be a good thing for many cities but when such large numbers appear in such a short amount of time this can cause major problems.

The amount of births is staggering. The ones 'applying' for refugee status would give birth here in Canada. Which the people in charge would then have to approve them or the new born would suffer.

If he hadn't immigrated illegally he wouldn't be $15,000 in the hole. How stupid can you be knowing full well the concequences to your actions if you get caught breaking the law by illegally immigrating. Your family and kids being possibly being separated and spending massive amounts of money on lawyers. Look at all these comments about how people don't want these immigrants in their country. Nationals shouldn't have to change laws to cater to these people.

I live in Toronto, Canada.\n\nFirstly, their are 500 men,women and children being placed in hotels temporarily. Much better than cages! \n\nSecondly, these individuals have already gone through the immigration process, hearing claims, back ground checks, medical checks. So these individuals in hotels have already been accepted to stay in Canada. They are in hotels due to Housing shortage issue. \n\nThird, way more illegal immigrants have been detained and removed from Canada. \n\nFourth, most of these people are families. Canada is very skeptical of accepting males. Sorry guys! \n\nFifth, these hotels have a contract with the government. These are the same hotels that were used to temporarily shelter Syrian refugees. Usually 3-4 families stay in one hotel. 500 people won't be staying in the same hotel. Plus the hotels charge the government an insane amount. So they make money. \n\nSixth, more than 10% of hotel cleaning jobs go unfilled. Guess what? Most of these asylum seekers end up working in the hotels they're staying in because of program called Employing Newcomers in Canadian Hotels Project. \n\nDon't worry about us America we know what we're doing. Trust me, no children were separated from their families and placed in cages.

No one is complaining about people crossing the boarder. It’s the amount of people in the short amount of time. We’re not processing them properly, and JT has no plan on how to accommodate them other than “come to Canada!” Not only that, he hasn’t provided any funding for the municipalities that are hosting these folks. You cannot simply pick a time out of history and say that you want to go back to the way things were some 70 years ago. BUT if one of those people makes a dramatic difference to your country then think how far ahead you will be. \nThe alternative is to send back the refugees or illegals and wish them well. Canadians will have to pay to help house these folks during what will likely be prolonged hotel stays (not just days or a few weeks, but possibly months), it may be better to just help them by paying for a one-way plane ticket back to their original point of origin (or to the nearest safe country to it). Of course it is ideal to help those in need, but we have to think of the many people here who are already in need amongst us. Overall, time to secure our borders ????!

I hate that at my work that we have a 5 foot rule; if a customer is within sight in 5 feet of you, you are to ask them if they need help with anything. Whether or not we suspect them of stealing. We don't discriminate racially, we do this with every person who walks into the store. Which is ridiculous because our store is very small and we have anywhere between 3 and 6 employees on the floor at any given time. So, inevitably, every customer is offered help many many times in their visit. I am always worried that a person of colour will think I'm profiling them, when I'm really not. I genuinely just want to know if they're finding everything they need or have any questions. If we were to racially profile based on the people who have stolen from us in the past, we'd be going after every white person who walks in the store. In my 3 years working there we have had only white people steal from us. So sick of the race issue, we're all humans. The amount of melanin in our skin should not matter.

I don't know why the hijab gets people so angry. No one freaks out about Amish women or nuns covering their hair. Why is this any different? We all wear clothes (most of us) so why is the amount of clothing a person wears such a big deal? Just as some Christian women would find it inappropriate to leave the house in short shorts and a crop top, some Muslim women find it inappropriate to leave the house with their hair showing. No big deal.

I managed a retail store for 25 years in a mostly Caucasian/Hispanic neighborhood the #1 Shoplifters were Blacks taking huge amounts in shopping carts. Its all on video, but the funny thing is 9out of 10 times the store security would be to scared to go after them instead the security guys go after white/ hispanic teenagers who steal energy drinks, and candy.. \nAll backgrounds shoplift, but black shoplifters go for $500 dollars of liquor ,meat, detergent every time they try to steal.

Regardless of what your political stance is no country in the world is okay with massive amounts of immigration. Most of these people never assimilate and become productive members of society. No country is capable to support the influx of people, it's unfortunate but true.

$15000 on layers is a good amount of money, but is cheap compared to what they charge here in the US.

This is utter nonsense! Given the number of illegal refugees and the very large number of immigrants, the effect is costing the taxpayer a massive amount of money. Not only that but they also put huge pressures on housing and jobs.

I still get followed(STALKED) in stores that I regularly spend a good amount of money in.. I can't stand it.. We had one of the grocery store staff asked by management, to run out and flag my cab because i had looked at a toy but ultimately decided not to buy it.. They assumed i stole that giant toy.. That I totally didn't end up buying with my $220 worth of groceries.. Ridiculous! I regularly spend my fair share!!

Think twice.\n\nA number of landlords offer a type of automatic monthly withdrawal for items such as monthly rent. Do not do it. The fines and penalties are considerably higher if one has done something as simple as making a mistake in ones accounting. Add to that, when one leaves the rental; one can have fees added in if the location is not left as perfect.

The amount of people prosecuted by racism is so small that we would be better to deal with individual cases also it's not going away as long as people are different well always complain about something it's in our nature
