I moved from the US to Canada 3 years ago. I lived in the US all of my life. You wait 8 or more hours in the emergency room in the US. I have a great job and I'm paid more in canada than the US for my exact job.I make 6 figures in canada. I also have a small business that brings in additional income. I have a great account also. Great opportunities in Canada. In US you pay taxes and its also alot. I was able to buy a home easily in Canada within 3 years. My phone plan is cheap and i have US line as well. 50 bucks a month. I moved to Edmonton AB. People who live in Toronto like to compare it as if its the rest of Canada. Compare Toronto to New York city.

Note that in Canada the population is also concentrated along the edges in this case, along the US border. I think that something like 90% of Canadians live within 50 miles of the US border. Beyond that, it's not the Outback, it's more likethe tundra. Also, Canada has a lot of beautif spots, but the are far away from each other snd sometimes from the big cities. The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. At this time I live in Saint-Sauveur with my family. I work 5 hours a week as a volunteer person to clean the sides of roads, streets, national parks, and public places in the city. I lived in Vancouver for 4 years, this city is a disaster. when you drive or walk on East Hastings, Victoria Drive, Commercial Drive, West Georgia, Broadway, Main Street, Granville, and most places downtown, you never believe this city is in Canada. they're worst than some places in Africa or the 3rd world countries in Asia. I love this country and try my best to help. I came for peace. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception.

Thank you so much for the video all you said is true but I disagree with you because this country is a country of hustlers…you have to think out of the box to survive to beat the system..it takes time and know the system…can you imagine some guys working in construction in local unions earn 40 or 45 or 50$ per hour and while degree holders earn 20$ per hour…I love the Chanel am extremely grateful to this county the experience is a billion $ experience both good and bad but at the end we take the good and become blind to the bad if we are to make it to the highest horizons.

So much like Australia, you get low income, you are poor, and if you get high income you can pay over 50% in tax and so you still are poor. Yeah, taxation is a bad thing in Canada, once you factor in sales tax, tax on gas, income tax, tax on the taxes...overall taxation is easily in the realm of 50-65%...other factors that hurt immigration in particular is that highly educated immigrants have a hard time having their credentials recognized by this country, which i think is rather unfair to those people and would be a detractor for a potentially permanent resident.

'Free Healthcare in Canada'. I can't stand those words. Healthcare here is Canada is NOT FREE. We pay incredibly high taxes for that healcare, in most cases the extra taxes you will pay per month are way higher than if you were to buy your own private coverage. Most Canadians are exceptionally slow witted with money though and they can't figure out that once they pay income, gst, pst, sin, fuel, carbon, property taxes and on and on, you lose WELL OVER 50% of your income to the government. Most of these reasons are the same in each country. Been living in 4 countries and I can tell you that it's the same almost everywhere. Also, taxes are not that high in Canada. I live in a country now that has almost 50% taxes. And I'm just in the middle class. I've seen few of those videos now and I have a feeling that people complaining about Canada are the people that haven't lived anywhere else. US is the worst possible place to live. No work-life balance, toxic work culture, no holidays, no vacation, no healthcare, working people being homeless, violence, racism, wokeness, gun violence. You guys were spot on with this video. I am Canadian born from Caribbean immigrants and all we've done from jump is work multiple jobs. If you live in Toronto you can't just have one job; even lawyers and engineers have side hustles. My uber drivers are usually tech engineers! Most people usually immigrate to the US after getting their visa because the pay is so much more and the cost of living is lower. An example some jobs I'm looking at in Canada pay $50-$60k base demanding 5 yrs experience with 2-3 wks vacation. In the US the same job pays $75-100k base, unlimited vacation, work from home 2-3 yrs experience! I now live here part time and most of my wealthy friends have moved to the US, Costa Rica or Mexico because the cost of living is too high and it's no longer worth it. No life balance, even working remote you're a slave, the cost of living is outrageous

Let me clue you in on something! I once was transported to an American hospital on Saturday morning and was discharged by Monday afternoon. The bill was for $42, 000.00 and the ride in the ambulance was $40.00 shy of a $1000.00! If I didn't have an insurance(which I have since lost!!!) I would have been up Schitt Creek. You started the video with an opinion not a fact. You can In fact gain wealth here. You have access to RRSPs and tax Free Savings accounts to help with Taxea for people earning over 6 figures. I don't think higher tax rate is a good point when you compare it to a country like Nigeria. The maximum tax rate you can pay in Nigeria is 24% and it begins from anything from 5.6 million naira per annum. After paying that tax you pay for the school fees of your children, and you pay that 3 times every year, Asides school fees you buy generator and fuel it everyday to get something close to constant power supply. (I don't want to include healthcare because if you have a good HMO they will sort out that perfectly well)\nSome of us still pay security due if you live in an estate. \n\nThe point I am trying to make is that if your tax rate is high let's say to up to 50% and you are sure of the quality of education your children is getting in public schools so you don't have to pay for school fees, You don't have to buy generator and fuel it because there's constant electricity supply and there's good security so you don't have to pay for private security. You might realized that tax rate in Canada is effectively cheaper than here in Nigeria. Because you will still pay for school fees, generator and maintenance and private security and all these have a way of eating deep into your income.

Was just staying @ Extended Stay America in Boise, Idaho. Full of illegal imagrants from Mexico living out of the Extended Stay! The whole place was full of these young, adult, men from Mexico that were all extremely intoxicated! At any given time there would be between 10 and 20 of them in the lobby drinking beer and the whole place smelled like meth! It seemed like every couple of hours or so someone would stumble over to the store across the way and bring back a 24 pack/case of beer! I saw three different vans with out of state license plates all show up at the Extended Stay America, full of these Mexican men, all exiting these vans and heading straight towards the lobby and then retreating to their rooms. There must have been a 50+ of these Mexican imagrants living out of this one Extended Stay America in Boise Idaho.

I can understand your contributions and I'm glad you shared it. But I paid tax in Nigeria and I almost pay for everything here. I pay for my child school fees, health insurance, security (transportation is hell here)) and I don't even earn that much. I will rather stay in a place where almost 50% of my responsibility is being taking care of by the government using my taxes. By that I will know my tax is working for me. The good thing is that most of this western countries helps with unemployment which I don't see here.
