wow you 2 ungrateful are complaining about 30 to 40% taxes, well why do you think third world countries are at at point they are? people are poor because they lack economic opportunities, good schools, teachers, new way of teaching the kids that they haven't even heard in the countries you were born in, the overall lack of corruption, when anytime you have to deal with any kind of public official for any kind of permit that might need, well build infrastructures, good public Universities, and a decent healthcare system, an independent well functioning judiciary system that is far less corrupted than the countries you were born at............ You 2 are delusional, in the south of USA they don't tax that much, you should see how the Blacks are treated, 2 months that the city of Jackson in Mississippi has no running water, I recommend you 2 to move there, and enjoy the low taxes.... BY the way look as well at the mortality rates for all the Child births in the south, and life expectancy rates.... And trust me I am an immigrant myself, so I know that people are not working as much as here in North America, but or you inherited your house from a family member or you are living in their homes, in that case yes you can sit and do nothing, and if you find a job you will get paid a few hundred dollars per month........ Try to put food on the table with that salary, even in lower cost countries... trust me they struggle 3 times as I do here in North America...

About vacations, you can also get one month vacations. I know this because for over 40 years I worked and received one month vacation each year.

I'm a blk American born and raised and l have serious interest in moving to Canada. Since my people are from the US this is all l know so Im acclimated to the racial climate of the states. A lot of your cons are the same issues many face in the states. Taxes are crazy cost of living is insane wages are stagnant and you basically live to work. I live in Minnesota which is not far from the Canadian border but originally from New Jersey so I'm used to the cold. The health care system is sh*t here. Noone really has money to pay privately that's why our care is funded by employers. At the current moment there is also a shortage of medical professionals so often times you still have to wait months for appointments but you know what l would rather wait and have my taxes pay for my doctor then go into medical debt. My biggest issue with America is you pay all these taxes and reap nothing at least in Canada you can kinda see where the money is going.

Hi ladies. These are exactly the same situation here in the UK. I have been living in London since 1986 and surviving over here especially for those just arriving can be so frustrating. I often wonder why so many of our people are still struggling to come and live in these countries. I know you speak about the USA being better however I have a numbers of family and friends living in America and they are complaining about how hard you have to work in order to make ends meet. The answer to that could be the fact that many immigrants especially from Africa don't feel safe in their own home countries and bad leaders who continually fail to provide any opportunities for their youths and citizens. This video for privileged people, not people struggling to survive. In a country like Nigeria, a PhD holder is applying for trucking driving job and secondary teaching job. They would be grateful to move to Canada for a befitting job and will be excited to pay tax. Many with good educational background don't even have any job at all. At least Canadian government takes taxes and provide good infrastructure. In Nigeria, the government takes your tax and nothing works, no jobs, no security, no healthcare, no good roads or infrastructure. It's difficult to travel inter state without being kidnapped. Your family sells all your properties and pay the ransom but still be killed. You can even be gunned down in your house or on the street just for next to nothing. All my relatives in Canada are happy with their families and are begging me to come. Even people with good jobs are moving to Canada. They're not doing it for themselves for the future of their children, for peace of mind, security and to escape poverty. \n\nIf you're in doubt please move back to Nigeria then you will know Canada is heaven. Many have resorted to prostitution and crime because they believe they don't have any other way to survive. I want to come to Canada not to get rich but to get a decent job and live a meaningful life with my family. You Guys even have opportunity for a medical care. In Africa they are not sure of the medical care. They do not have money for the medical care and they ended up on self medication which is not good. Things are also hard. People dies for no good reason. Graduates does not have employment. We know that no place like home but it is only for the Home where System works, where life is respected and valued etc. Experience they said is the best Teacher. I rather advise people to have an experience. What worked for A may not work for B. What you people said is the same thing every where. ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! I'm fine with high taxes as long as I can have a second residence in Canada. There's a lot of crime within the USA, and Canada is a safe haven depending on the type of crime we're talking about. I'm sure you understand what i'm saying. I'm not entering the Country to work there. I'd bring my businesses there, and help the economy as a permanent resident, and citizen of USA. My only problem is that i don't know how to become a permanent resident as an entrepreneur.

Never forget your home. Build at least a one bedroom in your own land back home, so you can return in your old age, if you live to your 70s, 80s or 90s. Look at the number of homeless people abroad, who are old. Don't forget your family back home. All these people talking are young but work very hard now and buy land in your hometown and build a place for yourself, and if possible a place to rent out so you can get income in future. You will never own anything in these oyibo lands. You will always pay very high taxes, even when you are not working or retired, and the house will go into foreclosure. Think my African brothers and sisters. I know things are bad back home, but don't get old and try to live here. A nursing home is like a prison. We are not used to that kind of restricted lifestyle.

Canada business system prefers the big franchises businesses that have millions of dollars. If you have a small shop or restaurant get beaten by the big corporations that has franchises. the food costs are high and when selling u just cant sell for a better profit that can actually make you money. The Chinese and Indians knows how to sell little many items at a low cost just to be on a very tinny profitable way to keep on going. The Multi big paying makes money in Canada not the small business immigrants come and create. Those business don't built wealth because the big corporations are pushed by the Gov more in creating jobs and paying the big corporate taxes that in turn the taxes help support the social programs for those that cant work and also providing the basic needs to those that needs it through the taxes paid. In many African states many of the individual business that strife and create wealth because there isn't too much huge corporations that competes with this small business like the first world nations. In SA for example we have seen an explosion of many migrants going there creating small business and striving better than they will be in Canada. The taxes are high in Canada that's true u cant be rich sorry u will work until you lose your hair f not your hair turns white in a very short time due to too much stress and worries. Canada is good for social programs it takes care off those that don't' work if you work forget about getting rich but supporting those that don't work through the allocated taxes. Canada and the first world nations supports Big corporation and Franchising not really a fan of small business even when they are here they just don't create huge profits to think they will make it. In fact when the economy falls those shops easily shut down entirely and when they do reopen they barely make profits. I have seen Nigerian, Ghanaian small shops with Ethiopian and Jamaican business.

my View before you move abroad be psychologically prepared knowing that you forget about your comfort zone, go there knowing you have a goal to achieve at certain time, once your done with work and making money then go back to your home country.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. I totally agree with you about being taxed to death and the only reason Trudeau legalized pot was for another way to get more tax dollars. I wonder how the pot-heads feel about him now. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

I can understand your contributions and I'm glad you shared it. But I paid tax in Nigeria and I almost pay for everything here. I pay for my child school fees, health insurance, security (transportation is hell here)) and I don't even earn that much. I will rather stay in a place where almost 50% of my responsibility is being taking care of by the government using my taxes. By that I will know my tax is working for me. The good thing is that most of this western countries helps with unemployment which I don't see here.

What many don't know and wasn't reported in this video, is that Ukraine doesn't want too many people leaving to Canada. There is a fear that if people settle in Canada, they will stay and not return and help in he rebuilding of Ukraine. Accepting Refugees on mass is a huge undertaking, it is not as simple as opening the doors and letting people in. Where are the people to go, someone has to support them and that all requires huge amounts of coordination. Last I saw, Canada had a housing crisis where it has been difficult for Canadians to find affordable housing... how are Refugees supposed to do better?? It is easy to open the doors, it is a lot harder to get them settled.... but we have to try and try hard to make it work.

It’s not just Vancouver…. I know how is Great Montreal (where I live) and Toronto (where a worked). Definitely every city and province is different each other but basically a lot of people have same feelings about living in Canada.

My two applications for PR have been rejected. As it turned out later during federal court hearing, it was by a mistake at the IRCC's side. I had to study and work in Canada for 12 years before becoming a Canadian. It is so frustrating to know some people just get their status illegally. Or even legally - some get their PR as a gift from the government even before coming to Canada.

You are taking nonsense you can only get job in Canada from India if you know someone who is working in Canada otherwise no employer is hiring people from india
