high cost of living it makes sense to leave Canada all together . You are taxed to death in Canada every thing cost more Canada is a great place if you all ready have lots of money . But if you don’t it’s hard. I find it so weird when they ask for Canadian experience when you just came to Canada I blame the employer they make it difficult for people to get hired and in return people leave to find a job in a different country I did the same thing came to Canada to look for work working in IT and I didn’t get IT job because I did t have any Canadian experience. After two years of working at a job that was not even what I studied I left Canada and found a job that I studied for I got a good job in America Long island New York and never looked back……. I get paid double then I would have if I had gotten a job in Canada any way ….. forget Canadian experience it’s not worth moving to Canada the country has changed. You pay more for everything in the states you get things for a lot less . Car insurance in Canada is so expensive……… do t get me started on the winter ?

Great move brother. I have been living in Canada for more than 20 years and I’m in the process of planning to wrap up everything and move. We are a big family alhamdullillah. Have been looking in to many countries but now been few days looking in to Malaysia. March break inshallah planning to go visit and see how it goes. Very good objective video. I grew up in Toronto and had many great experiences in the city as well as commuting from west Toronto into the city for five years of high school (grade 9 to grade13). At an very early age I used to fearlessly ride buses, street cars and the subway system with no concerns of crime or potential violence in my mind. I wouldn't suggest this now for a young person unless you have 2 or 3 marshal arts black belts in your resume! The very same circumstances exist in Vancouver...quite possibly x's 2. My family and I now live a short distance east of Vancouver, but the city has changed about 10,000% since I lived there from the late '70's to the late '90's. I don't mind saying that I believe most of the problems/issues in Toronto, Vancouver and many other cities in Canada have been accentuated by poor policy decisions at all levels of government...municipal, provincial and federal...particularly since 2015 aka the J Trudeau era. Canada about 20 years ago and before that actually use to be a really nice place to live in. However Canadians voted in two disastrous political leaders that have ruined Canada. Stephen Harper and especially Canada has really gone downhill under the disastrous,evil, incompetent leadership of Justin Trudeau. Moral of the story is this. Where ever you are in the world choose your political leaders wisely otherwise if you choose poorly once great place to live in like Canada once was can be turned into a hellhole by terrible political leaders and their underlings..

Great video, candid and honest appraisal of the current situation in Canada. We moved to Canada from the UK 20 years ago and initially we loved every minute. But the slow spiral into the hell hole since Trudeau took power has totally changed our opinion of Canada. We have now retired and spend winter in the USA and considering leaving if Trudeau gets re-elected next time around. Also we have to say how Canadians are very disingenuous and can be two faced.\nWe do have many Canadian friends but in 20 years we are not that close to them.

It's a disgrace how Canada has been governed the last 8 years. Government debt is through the roof and that burden has been passed directly to the once so called middle class now the working poor. While income disparity continues to grow and there are several domestic issues that need addressing, and the political and social climate isn't great, you still have lots of work and skills training opportunities, robust, if decaying social support structures, pretty low crime rates, decent education. You're not being incarcerated or killed for no good reason, you're not being oppressed by the government, your children don't have to work in sweatshops and parents don't have to sell their children into prostitution. You children aren't being gangpressed into being child soldiers, you aren't being shot at when you vote... social media is being weaponized by manipulative cloutchasers and foreign actors.

I read an article recently that Canada is running their immigration like a shady fly by night credit card company. It doesn't matter to them about honoring the terms as long as they can get enough people to sign up. But soon enough (and it's starting to happen) word is going to get out that it's not really that great and the number of people signing on is going to plummet.\nThe Canadian government doesn't care about the immigrants as people, all they are is numbers to keep our overall GDP propped up, meanwhile per capita GDP is in a freefall.

I left Canada 2 years ago and moved to California. I lived for 13 years in Mississauga. About Canada: terrible weather, worst drivers, fewer cops to ticket drivers, worst community and University teaching experience. I taught for 13 years in Ontario, and it's all business. Housing is more expensive in Mississauga than a beach house in Orange County. Excellent medical system in Southern California (at least what I have experienced so far with two younger daughters). With year-round great weather and access to high-quality fruits and vegetables, school systems are among the finest in the US. I have not heard a single gunshot in the last 2 years. People are not allowed to take weapons unless concealed with a license.\n\nI would not recommend anyone to settle in Canada. I heard that most immigrants who move to Canada are not well-educated and end up doing blue-collar jobs. Those who are educated are doing under-qualified jobs. A super expensive country with super high vehicle insurance, expensive cell phone and cable plans, and so on. I took a dermatologist appointment for my kid, and it took 6 months in Ontario versus two days in the US. I know it is just my case, but overall, I am very happy that I left Canada.

I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

It was a big move, but we made istikhara and went with it. I would suggest that you think about Qatar as one of the options.

Failing , that’s the right word. Canada keeps taking new immigrants ( mostly undocumented & refugees) over staying tourists. Not deporting. Lack of affordable housing/ apartments. Cost of living is too high & taxes. Minimum wage don’t match reality. Highly educated or degree holders are great & still don’t appreciate how lucky they are. No matter how successful & achieved a good job professionally when you retire, they put you back below poverty as senior. Max government pension is about $1,600 . How can you afford decently & independently to live alone. Not enough to rent a bachelor apartment. Government housing nowadays gives priorities to new / refugees / non documented immigrants than real average Canadian citizen who works hard for years. Long waiting lists for affordable housing Thank God & to myself alone , I started early & fought for my well deserved affordable housing after I retired otherwise, no way I cannot live decently as a senior like others who didn’t contribute much during their early years to the government. Give priority to our own Canadian citizen regardless of their ethnicity before giving to new undocumented immigrants. \n?❤️??

Canada used to be a great country. Now it's a good place only for the rich! Yet, the country is still accepting 500.000 immigrants per year and the fact is many will have to leave simply because they will not be able to earn enough to support themselves. I've also lived in Vancouver for 3 years, Toronto for 5 years, returned to Montreal for another 3 years, and have now been in Quebec City for 15 years.\n\nAs a Quebec City resident and business owner, I find the city amazing. During the pandemic, there were many programs and subsidies available. I even wrote to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the CEBA program for businesses, suggesting some changes to the eligibility criteria. They followed through, and Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau sent a detailed response, signed by him but likely written by his staff, explaining the revised criteria and suggesting other potential programs. Provincially, my MP's staff guided me through various programs. Ultimately, I received nearly everything I needed to survive and potentially thrive through the pandemic (to be confirmed in 2024).\n\nTaxes are high, but I feel safe in Quebec City. Crime rates are low, and I've experienced little racism, possibly due to my fluency in French. Starting a business here has been easy, with minimal costs and bureaucracy.\n\nAs a gay man, I've never felt endangered. I can comfortably express affection for my spouse in public without feeling judged.\n\nHealthcare, including access to medication and doctor consultations, is extremely affordable. Super Clinics offer next-day appointments at no cost.\n\nI own a commercial condo for my business, which cost significantly less than it would have in Toronto or Vancouver. Don't even consider U.S.A. Or Great Britain....unfortunately, they both check all the same boxes that Canada did, especially your #1 reason.

Having done a similar voyage, my two-pence is that, resources permitting, at least until you have really properly tried the other country out for a period of time, I'd recommend retaining a base, even if a small one, in Canada, leaving your longer term stuff there rather than packing everything that you own and dragging across the world. In my experience, the most enhancing and liberating situation is one where you get to enjoy the privilege of being able mix the best of the two worlds. When abroad in the other Muslim country you will have great moments but - guaranteed - also a fair share of disappointments and negative experiences. Even if you think you have thought of everything, you don't know what you don't know, or how you may feel, or what and where is better, until you've spent a longer time over there. I could write a book by now but will just leave you with go, explore, see, try, but ideally have an easy way to come back to Canada to regroup (to potentially try again, better and differently with a bit more experience). Born and raised in Canada. Like all western places, you need tons of money to have a great life. It's true that everything's gotten worse. It's hard to make friends--it's easier in most other places. The people are very resigned, complacent--in other words, fearful and subservient. People in general have a poor undertanding of geopolitics...lots of naivite. There are some genuinely kind people but most are burnout, struggling to get by, living with their parents.

I have a friend who moved to Qatar from the UK and he now says he will never come back, he lives there with his wife and 2 children. Great life... Mass 3rd world migration has changed Toronto, Vancouver Canada - they aren't the safe, Great White North of the 1970s. Canada has huge amounts of unpopulated land, pretty much no, none of the migrants are going there - they're going to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver and their suburbs. Sure you get interesting places to dine, cosmopolitan stuff, you also get sky high rents, migrant camps, ME sexual grooming gangs, COVID, TB - Indian Sikh assassinations.

It depends on the community you're in. but you do you. the province I'm in is still a great place to be in. I would recommend Qatar or Oman. places I wouldn't recommend would be the UAE since you're looking for an Islamic environment. it's not the vibe anymore in the UAE unfortunately

I am originally from Pakistan, lived in usa for 2 decades. but when i decided to get married i could find a lady to marry with same values i got. so i decided to move to pakistan. pakistan is very laid back but it got many many challenges. everyday you have to struggle to maintain basic necessities . i think you should give you decision a second thought. there many great people in canada who need you there. in canada you can serve islam better by educating people and try make a difference. it takes time to accomplish things.

You mentioned, Halal, food access, you live in the GTA, which has the greatest amount of Halal food access available. And there’s a fair amount of masks. Think of the people that live in areas where there are no mosques and they have to drive 3040 minutes to get to a Mosque or they have to find a Hello butcher in the city or in the country somewhere because there’s no hello restaurants or groceries where they are. You guys live in a great Muslim area in Canada but I totally understand why you wanna move and have that environment around you 24 seven.

In short, Canada has turned into a huge Indian slum filled with Paje--ets and high cost on top of it. Saved you 20 minutes of your life. Once great country turned 3rd world slum for the benefits of the upper 0,1% that own all the real estate and industry

South Africa. Not a Muslim country but you can freely practice Islam. Mosques all over with athaan being called out loud. Salaah facilities almost everywhere including malls. Halaal food and meat found everwhere and is easily accessible. The muslim communities are very welcoming as well. And South Africans are very freindly.Many islamic schools and after programmes and most importantly we don't support Isreal. We are in full support of a free Palestine. Our winters are for about 4 months of the year and not as bad as Canada( i think) and the summers are great. We might be at the bottom of Africa but we have eveything and anything you can think of. Sorry guys, all of the reasons that you mentioned except maybe the inflation (which I think is temporary and happening around the world), are the reasons that you SHOULD STAY in Canada. If you leave then you are giving up challenges and trying to find an easy way out. Please remember nothing comes easy and if you leave Canada then you are not going to be part of the struggle to change the mindsets of Canadian society that Muslims can be also accepted in Canada as they are, which may not come during your or your children's lifetime but it will come eventually maybe during your grandchildren or great grandchildren's lifetime and you need plant the seed for that now otherwise there will be no fruitful outcome. It needs lots of patience and initial suffering for a group of minority or downtrodden people to be accepted within the mainstream societly. If the Muslim people start leaving Canada just like you guys then there will be fewer Muslims for this struggle to bring changes in Canadian society. I think you are escapign the struggle and suffering and you guys can affford that but you are leaving many of them behind who cannod afford to leave Canada and it will make their lives even worse and the future generation.
