This cowboy hat ? man should know that international students spennd 18000 Canadian dollars just on diploma to study in those diploma mills colleges. Man a lot of money just for study a year course where you will study nothing some of their parents spend whole life savings sell out their land properties thats straight 30 Indian lakhs one can buy a nice SUV a house here with that much of money. That's reason why they are protesting they can't go back back why government gave study visas on first place to them played scam with if I talk hatred and racism I don't think Canadians are hatred and racist every individual is vary different to different. Indians or others can only come in if ALLOWED to via policy changes ! Both lvls. of gov Feds (visas, work permits /PR) / Prov. (colleges) created this mess to make $$$ along with various lobbies so need to clean it up asap !

what about canadian born kids, who always get summer job to earn tution fee from entry level job, for their education? international students comes and show that they are finanacially capable to bear the study cost, they have no right to work , your visa has expiry date, means once expire you have to go thats meaning for expiry date...just finish study and go home, and apply legally again like how genuine people do...

Just a point of clarification. Are you confusing Immigrants to Temporary Foreign Workers and International Students? Those 70,000 you mentioned are not immigrants. They have temporary visas and are not guaranteed immigrant status. Please clarify because you're not being clear. Thank you.

Ya know… I like most of the immigrants that I have met..but…they tried to cheat the system, they stepped ahead of the line, in front of those who did it legally, by coming with a “temporary” visa, then refusing to leave when it’s time to go… they need to go.

Yes I came in through Toronto airport. I had similar experience but Las Las i was able to make it. The immigration lady was highly professional in her questions. Thank God everything I used in my visa procurement belongs to me, God was with me I was able to defend all smartly. Finally what I heard from her was WELCOME TO CANADA ?❤?

Every good for nothing Tom, Dick and Harry goes to Canada and Australia. Their extended family in Punjab, Hyderabad and Gujarat think that they are very smart. They were good for nothing in India and will be good for nothing in such countries too. It's so easy to get PR. Canada and Australia gives PR like distributing peanuts. USA has chain migration and allows substandard people through Canada on some easy visa. Anyone's kid who us born in the US becomes a citizen. Undocumented/ 3rd world Asylees gets free money from hard working tax payers. Everywhere politicians are just creating mess to get votes.

Out of 100% international students, almost 70% are indian students. From 100% temporary foreign workers, almost 70% are indians. Why the fk we only bringing indians, there is no other fking country on planet? If it is sooo important to bring people, who not bring people from all over the world just like USA. \nGo travel from east coast to west coast and you will see how indian nepotism work, once an indian become a manager at any workplace, he will go to extreme lengths to hire only Indians. This is very well researched fact in USA and Europe and now in Canada. \nPut a full stop on international student visas program and temporary foreign worker program. Close all Canadian embassies in India who handing over visas to anyone and everyone who apply for a fkkking visa. It's hard to believe that Canadian visas for seasonal crop pickers provide an expectation of permanent residence or citizenship? Provided the Government is not revoking or reneging on already granted granted visas for individuals then the proposed policy seems reasonable.

It is NOT out of control. NOBODY promised any of them permanent status in Canada after graduation or their TEMPORARY job ends!!!!\n\nBoth programs SHOULD BE cancelled & everybody goes home. Any visitors with working visas( should NEVER) have happened MUST BE deported as well!!!

I can actually break it down for you which is an unbiased fact. I spoke to one of the siding guys on a job he explained the entire process. So they come over on student visas then they work for basically free for 6 months there employer houses them feeds them drives them to work they spend no money at all. After the 6 months there boss gives them $10k which is not taxed they take that back to India and it’s like $100k over there versus Canada. We do a lot of quotes and I give reasonable prices they come in and charge 50% less which actually equates to $10 per hour which is not enough to run a business or have insurance.

Our generosity is being taken advantage of. The ones on a temporary visa need to go back home no extentions or promises of citizenship! If they come here to learn then once tgey graduate time to go home. If they fail the at anytime go home.

Is it really wise to shift the complete blame to indian immigrants, shouldn't government have a share of the blame too after all it's your own immigration policies you exactly know how many ppl you letting in and you happily except their money to keep your economy upfloat but when the things go south start blaming the Indians completely. Yes i admit there are too many Indian much more than the permissable number but why tf did u grant them visas and accepted their money in the first lay. A highschooler with avg maths score would tell u there would be give demographic shift after looking at the immigration data. I think it's a complete incompetency on the part of government, they should have been more strict and mindful about the immigration number.

You also need to include the deluge of fake asylees with students and TFW. Everyone is so obsessed legitly with those two groups that no one is mentioning the surge of easy visitor visas to those turning into fraudulent asylum claimnants and clogging the system. They're being paid on average 17K from taxpayer (stats from govt. PBO), creating pressure on housing and jobs. As a matter of fact, this group is worse than students and TFW coshidering the latter group is paying something in the Canadian economy (although that contribution is negligible at this point). I would also like to point to not conflate real asylees with these visitor visas to asylum seekers. They are economic migrants and NOT any asylee; fraud perpetrated by JT and his incompetent ministers.

Honestly, I moved out from Canada to UK last year for job and I also loved to visit Eaton center but trust me UK has the worst scenario if we talk about creating ruckus, most of them are Punjabis on student visa or dependents.

I have not seen any one arguing with the US or any other western country embassy staff on such issues. The visa issuing staff does not owe anyone explanations. Yes, the gentleman could have been more polite and businesslike. Badly trained guy.

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? I don’t believe so. I did to deserve it. \n\nSo, don’t put everybody on the same basket.
