Remember in the 1970s and 1980 when Canada was respectful of all people. Women were respected int he workplace and treated as they should be in public. We opened doors for women, always said please and thank you. I always wondered why our prime minister said we were a racist nation. Why in the last 12 years has our standard living been decreasing along with all the services we once had, that our country could once afford. I think we are witnessing the fall of Canada. Canada needs to put crazy amount of tax for owning a second+ properties for individuals and corporations in a way that it is no longer worth to purchase real estate for investment. You'll see how quickly people will start investing in businesses, stock market, etc quickly

Imagine having an economy based so heavily on housing...it cannot possibly be sustainable. The fact that nobody wants to live outside of Toronto, MTL, Vancouver or other big cities doesn't help. The only reason people buy houses in places like Barrie or Hamilton is because they can no longer afford anything in Toronto or the immediate suburbs. \n\nThe future of Canada is 5 giant mega-metropolises, with undeveloped wilderness everywhere else.

Approx 10 years ago a friend told me of an organized plan with the U.S., UN, other countries to “take United States of American” and change it into a 3rd World Country. The USA as we have known it would no longer exist. The problem with accepting a lot of immigration from countries like Venezuela for example is that all the good people that have some influence flees the country, leaving tyrants to stay in power longer since most of the opposition fled the country. If they want to leave the country because of the elected government they have to stay over there and solve their problem. On top of that I have many friends who came to the U.S. because of the government but go back to their country every year for vacation. I am not against immigration, and if we are smart we can get more people working and contributing with taxes, I just don’t like the fact that most of this people are good people who fled their country to leave tyrants free to do whatever they want.

I agree with some of your views on Canadian immigration. You mentioned a PR timeline of up to 1 year. That’s what it says in the application process but in reality isn’t always the case. It usually takes much longer esp. if your case file is unique or complex. In order to manage people’s expectations. There’ve been cases where applicants in the express entry process had been in it for over 3 year before receiving their confirmation of permanent residency. It can be a roller coaster journey that you need to be prepared for mentally.

Too many migrants, the US can no longer assimilate so many without radically changing its system for the worse. It's an invasion. Look at France. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? The asylum system is being abused. No country can sustain 2 million immigrants per year no matter how they come. Let them in and fly them directly home. If you're fleeing danger in Venezuela and you're in Mexico, you're no longer in danger. Especially when you've traveled through multiple countries. If the danger is in your country, cross the border and apply for asylum in the next country.
