There’s been a massive increase of non productive Indians coming into this country. Those people are tarnishing the reputation of Indians in Canada. They aren’t here legally and coming through as students and making demands to OUR government. Fighting in our streets. THEY need to go.

When you come here to go to school you are supposed to go back home after to apply your skills to your home country not stay here....thats always been my understanding.

To begin with, the Indian education system is superior to that of Canada, so there's little justification for going to Canada and contributing to their economy for an education that is often subpar. Secondly, no country is obligated to grant citizenship simply because someone has studied there—that’s a fundamental principle. Taking a loan to study abroad is a personal choice, not a guarantee of future residency. Many of these individuals are students who couldn't secure admission to top Indian institutions. Deportation is a reasonable consequence in such cases.

I see his point, but we Canadians know that we can’t go to your countries and have our pride parade. For example, I can’t move to India and have a French Métis Canadian pride parade. the 70,000 students were coming in illegally i believe, 70k out of 1million+ that have come per year isn't so bad. I blame this whole situation 100% on the government and it totally does suck that these 70k people coming in are going to be deported but again there were and are so much scams that have been going on. If they lied and cheated on the system i don't think we should feel bad. Canada used to have higher standards. My family obviously are immigrant too but there has been no background checks, no proper procedure in the last few years and 2 races have been getting preferential treatment. Most if not all people that come in from Africa are left on the streets while the your country men, indian, and white looking are given a free house, food budget, and dont have to work.. We paying more for taxes and the government has increased work force by 40% yet wait time for services has trippled 3X, make it make sense.

Having a canadian passport does not make you real Canadian. Its your assimilation to the culture. Every where I go you Indians are the same. The universities across this country have been cashing in big time. Huge salaries for staff being way out of line. My sister in law makes just over one hundred thousand a year as a secretary. Kwantlen college in Vancouver lower mainland. That’s a joke The cost to go to school in this country is staggering. Time to rail in these undeserved wages.

Canada is one of the best countries, I agree there are few downfalls, but on the other hand you can’t even in judge a book by just looking at it’s cover. If you are well educated, this country is the best to live in. Canada has already made their immigration policies stern, and are not welcoming everyone now. Do you think Indian politicians are doing good to keep India safe according to their duties? Don’t you think India has a drug problem too? Apply for a visa and come here, you’ll see many people settled, enjoying their life here. People have to face struggles when you move to a new country, it takes time. Canada in one of the most diverse country, go to a school here, they celebrate and acknowledge different cultures and teach about them. I think Indian are well settled and living luxurious life here.

GO FIX YOUR OWN COUNTRY!!!

I went to high school in Brampton Ontario, in the mid 80's and there were no Indian immigrants anywhere. After high school, I moved to Montreal to work as a fashion designer, (I have to mention the shock I experienced whenever I would fly into Toronto for business... when I went to get a taxi, there was always a massive line of Indian taxi drivers standing outside next to their taxis. I had the feeling that I was no longer in Canada, but somehow ended up in India?) Having lived in Montreal for 30 years, I recently moved to Guelph Ontario, to be closer to family and I was shocked to see how many Indians had moved there, (going to the dog park, I was informed by the people there, that Brampton was called Bramladesh and Guelph was turning into another Bramladesh.) There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! That said, it feels like their goal is 'global domination' and with 2 billion people living in India today, it's just a matter of time before they all decide to leave the most over populated, the most polluted and the most corrupt country on the planet, and move to Canada!

I’ll tell you this right now we are not rich. Whoever thinks Canada is rich doesn’t know reality of it. Most of the people in the country are broke or going broke. The infrastructure of all kind is no longer able to keep up with the demand and population. We are also paying huge amount of taxes like we are taxed on everything. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. The whole university system is so obsolete and inefficient. Especially doctoral degree programs. We are literally dying because nobody wants to grind themselves into $200K debt. All to become a doctor who ends up spending most of their day filling out mountains of forms. The bureaucracy greed and corruption are destroying this country. Immigration band-aid solutions, to feed an unsustainable growth driven economy, are only going to make everything worse in the long run.

It’s very easy to go to Canada and Australia as compared to other countries. I have personally seen a lot of people around me, who were the worst students, scored the lowest and wouldn’t have made a decent career in India, let alone get a decent job, go outside and do extremely well.

When you go to ANY COUNTRY on a visa be prepared to for visa related changes (even if you plan to settle n takeup citizenship). No country is OBLIGATED to give PR/ citizenship to visa holders. The government n citizens have the right to change policies to keep their own intrests in mind.

The caregiver program should go through reform. With the current immigration law with giving the caregivers Permanent Residency putting a lot of pressure on the employers who are working hard and paying taxes to bring the caregivers in Canada. The caregivers are taking advantages by exercising their rights as soon as they lands in Canada. Where is the protection for the employers who are working round the clock to bring the caregivers but the caregivers are abusing the systems and goodwills of the employers. The caregiver program should be like it was before when the caregivers needed to work here for 10 years to get the permanent residency. Otherwise it is becoming difficult for the employers to retain the newly hired caregivers under the new program as the caregivers are getting PR as soon as they lands. Employers need protection. Employers brings caregivers from foreign lands and as soon as they arrive the caregivers can quit and change employer and start exercising their rights as PR - it has to stop to protect the employer because of the employers hard earned money and goodwill they can land here, employers should not suffer for their goodwill and needs.\nWe Canadian employers need workers not the abusers.\nThe caregivers should be brought in temporary work permit and sent back or give PR after 10 years after they contribute to Canada but not award them with PR as soon as they land. Otherwise the lack of workers in this field will never be fulfilled. Many people from poor countries like Philippines are waiting eagerly to come even with low wages, because the money they get is huge compared to any third world countries.\nThis is not justice to indian students who came here to study are preparing to contribute are being sent back.

Indians wanted to come and live in Canada, the simple reason Canada is much better country than India for sure. but when Canadian government knows that they're not gonna go back then why they allowing them come to Canada blindly just for money then who is gonna exploit in whole situation.
