The sense of becoming better in any person is driven by the conviction of being worse already.\nAs such, there must be CHOICE to select from the list of practices that can lead to being BETTER furnishing reasons and proofs. What guarantee is there that Islam as one of the items in the list makes someone better? What if itself lacks goodness and depends on sacrifices from its votaries to cover its own lapses? In that case, how does one get the sense of being better becoming Muslim or serving Islam?\nTo me, Islam (of Mohammad) is end of all workable options as it sets itself against rest of the possibilities allowing no alternative thinking and action. It leads to REAL SLAVERY mentally and physically.

they say, Niqab is anti-women?\npls try to be more respectful to the Muslim women, just adjust your perception by thinking they don't want to be bothered by disclosing their physical beauty publicly except their beloved husbands -this is their sacred personal choice. respect freedom of choice. peace.

How can it be a choice if it because what your religion dictates? How can it be a choice if it is only for women?

When Farjana Hasan touts freedom for women, she unknowingly discriminates against those who chose to wear hijab willingly. Real freedom of women is to let them decide for themselves whatever they want to wear or not, period. If someone doesn't wear hijab so be it. And if someone wants to wear, so be it. Why must she impose her version of Islam on others? \nThat is the whole problem. Why can't we just accept & respect other's choices even if it differs from my choice???

The big deal is that they are primitive people with primitive beliefs using force and violence in an attempt to spread their hateful and barbaric ideology to areas it is not wanted\nYou can believe what you want to in the confines of your own home, if you want to dismiss science in favour of bronze age mythology that is your choice, but keep you children's stories behind closed doors and stop expecting special treatment because you believe in a particular modified version of ancient Judaism

Wealth doesn't equal happiness.\n\nNote that my views formed WHILE I was in the UK - specifically after 16 as there was no sixth form locally and I had to go to the city to study. I'm sure you wouldn't like it either if Bangladesh started being overrun by people of other cultures (note that religion heavily integrates with culture, but culture is a problem too, as is race).

you were in the uk too, its not all bad its just that i dont like certain racist people in my school. i might want to leave the uk i didnt come here by choice my father brought me when i was two or three after my mother passed away in bangladesh. \nyoure greek? because i always had a fascination of greece its history philosophy and pagan mythology

Love or hating religion is your choice. But it's incredibly ignorant to classify buddhism, hinduism, judaism, etc. with Islam as far as violence goes.
