A lot of canadians are unhappy with the guy, but that was a hell of a speech and a good reaponse to the US. Bring on the trade war!

We love Americans, don't ever forget that. Prime Minister Trudeau made a superb speech. Unbelievable what is happening. We all need to hang in there and go on this crazy fiasco together. so sad.

man some of my best friends live in canada. this speech made me tear up. I knew trump wasn't gonna be great but dam man. I didn't know it was gonna be this bad.

There’s nothing tough about this joker, so any speech he gives can’t be “blistering.” Furthermore, with his track record of wrecking his own economy he lacks any credibility to lecture the USA about our economy or decisions to bargain for trade deals that benefit said economy. UK here. Great speech. Said it like it is. I truly hope that when, not if, our turn comes, we respond in a similar fashion. Beware Americans, if Trump carries on like this you may find your closest trading partner is Russia, when the rest of the world takes American goods off the shelf.

As a German - apart from the content which is no less than justified - just technically comparing Trudeau´s speech with Donald Trump´s verbal outcome - what an incredible difference in niveau & tone. Isn't it almost tragic how little skill it took to run the U.S and even worse, how low the common-sense-threshold must be for a half of the American people to make this happen a second time. Embarrassing.
