Trump doesn't care what Trudeau thinks, just like Canadians don't care anymore either.

I grew up like 20 minutes from the Canadian border. I am them, they are us. This is ridiculous. I spent half my childhood in Canada, my friend was married in Perth Andover... I could go on. I'm so ashamed. Donald Trump is a danger to the safety of humanity and democracy. Canada.. if you will have me, I am yours.

I like how Trudeau left out all the money we just hand over to Canada. It seems sad that it took an action such as the one the US government had to do, to make Canada realize that we should work together as provinces and as people. Canada knew very well that our big brother in the south has been fiscally hurting since years and had been racking up enormous government, corporate and private citizen debt. If this were to continue it would pull down every single country in the world. Perhaps if the US is becoming fiscally responsible, truly eliminate fraudulent and unnecessary spending and refocus on their local economy (just like China has been doing in the last years) the rest of the world and even Canada can finally focus on their strength and local markets. After all, don't we all miss our local stores, local artisans, vibrant neighborhoods with diverse businesses and a pride in having made in our own country? May I say that this Trump era will give the whole planet a new perspective for changing our ways, reliance on others and taking the easy and greedy road!

As a Canadian I can tell you it is a supremely miserable feeling to have a nation which we have such strong feeling for strike at us like this. I am an American citizen. I did not vote for Trump. I would never vote for somebody like Trump and I’m sorry for what he’s doing to Canada but you do what you have to do we’ll survive, but somebody has to put Trump in his place.

Canada and Mexico are cutting down the flow of fentanyl into our country since Trump initiated tariffs. Trudeau is talking tough because he came off as weak the last time Trump scolded him. Trudeau is scheduled to meet with Trump in a few days. Why is that? Canada will meet Trump's demands on fentanyl and tariffs; and America will profit in the short and long term. Stop believing the fake news who does nothing but create fake chaos no matter what Trump does. These tariffs do not affect our country in any way over the short term. The only reason that the markets are tumbling is because the fake news wants to create panic when there is none. Same thing with Zelensky. You idiots are rooting for a war to continue because Trump is mean. Zelensky is ready to work for peace because the mean guy yelled at him. Wake up idiots! I like what Trump is doing, this is the wests chance to put separation between us and America, American corporations cannot treat people in Europe like they do in the US, Americans food is filled with rubbish banned in most of the west, respect to Americans but your corporations are terrible to people.

Good job Justin. There's nothing else you could have said or done. The problem as I see it, is that responding in kind to Trump like this is possibly to invite an invasion, justified by Trump claiming that Canadian assets are essential to US national security. It's hard to parse the provocation from the US as anything less than a pretext to eventually try and annexe Canada. Maybe Russia will attack the Baltics at the same time. It's becoming increasingly obvious that the US Government is no longer a friend to the free world.

Mexico and Canada's exports are 70-80% to the USA while we only export 13-14% to them. This means most of their economy relies on the USA and only a small of ours rely on theirs.
