It amazes me that his lawyer talks about what he and his family are going through. Im sorry but how about the families of those killed or injured in that accident, imagine the horror they have and continue to live through. This man including the owner of the company immigrated here . When you move to another country you must adapt to that country's laws. If i went to India damn certain if i broke their law i would be held to account. I feel no pitty here. All Indian drivers need to go thru a mandatory driving test, I have noticed lack of English and knowledge of Canadian laws make them dangerous drivers in Canada. They are very risky driver, they behave like driving in India not in Canada.

Lived in India for 31 years and done 100's thousand kms in good old Maruti Suzuki, most of the public/private bus and truck drivers are A holes in India. There are lot of A holes on our freeways/motorways as well but the %age is lot less. If anyone is seeking for a commercial license in North America from other countries, they have to go thru strict training else there will be high speed moving freaks. There is no concept of stop sign in India.

South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. People from India have a long, strong history in Canada due to their strong allegiance to the Queen and monarchy. They have never caused problems. If their churches thrive it's because they actually go to church whilst Canadians let theirs go to to waste. The violence we see is not random East Indians popping off on the go train, let's be honest. Their mafia is no different from the ones we have had in each culture. They are welcome imho plus they make great food.

Being an Indian living in India I can tell you one thing that mostly people who are not 'good enough' in anything pay lumsum amount of money to move to Canada. For instance, most of the students going to Canada for study, lack foundational knowledge that should've been taught to them at school. Take a GRE-like exam by randomly selecting Indians residing in this area and u will understand what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, the current Canadian govt knows this and capitalise on this problem as they have turned the education system of Canada into a money-vending machine. Furthermore, no skill development opportunities and lack of jobs intensify these problems as these individuals are never exposed in a multicultural urban setting. That is why likeminded individuals aggregate and live in silos. Lastly, for my Indian brothers and sisters, I would like to say that yall should try to assimilate with the culture rather than live in silos. That doesn't necessarily mean yall should abandon ur religion and culture, but try to participate more in various activities associated with Canadian culture. Like Im a Hindu, but I participate in Eid & Christmas as well in India.. We should be open to new experiences, especially when moving to a foreign country, one should be able to adapt.. just like one adapts to the weather, one should also embrace the culture.. Try talking to people who are 'non-Indians', have a genuine conversation, find out the history of the place and various other key milestones in the region.. mostly engage in amicable social behaviour. Holding grudge & closing doors to new interactions would not solve anything, neither for Canadians nor for immigrants.. Live and let live.. Cheers!

The situation is not the fault of the students or the Indian students. It's solely the fault of the Canadian government because no Indian student can come to Canada without a student visa. They are accepting so many students only for financial gain. This is a result of corruption. But unfortunately, all the hate will go towards Indian students even when it's the government's fault. Many students have been misled by Canadian colleges, they have invested a significant amount of money and contributed to the Canadian economy, only to find themselves unable to secure employment. As a result, they are left with no choice but to return to India and confront their families and communities. This is a major factor contributing to the high number of students returning to India in unfortunate circumstances even suicide.

India gives you satisfaction on a longer run. Now India is rising to its natural style by going back to its roots. Foreigners are settling in India....that is the trend now. Nice you came back to India very soon. You are safe.

These students need to go back to India and sue the recruiters in India for false representation. It is not our problem.

I am from India. While what u said is mostly true, I'd like to add that the top 10% indians dont immigrate to Canada coz the quality of life has degraded there.Your problem isn't too many indian immigrants, issue is too many underqualified indians. Don't allow just anyone to immigrate in your country. Allow only the best. Those who dont get into best Indian/ best US universities go to Canada.

As an Indian these so called students were dumb to leave India where growth is taking place and go to Canada, I think in long run it is good if a few get dissed. The stupid fascination with western country is purely dumb. \n\nSome even have a lower pay in Canada then India, and the leaving conditions and white collared workers becoming blue collared. Makes no sense. So yeah Canadian should do as they please.

Every third person that you meet in Canada in 20 years will be from South Asia. Most of us are economic immigrants and came here to live a happy peaceful prosperous life and contribute to the economy in the form of taxes. We are not a drain on the exchequer - most of our unproductive part of our lives have been paid off by India and now Canada is reaping those benefits. Did British people adopt the culture and customs of First Nations- did Italians and other Europeans adopt British customs- same applies to people from India- we will be bringing cultural elements but do not overpower the locals by any means.\n\ncrime town in canada is north Battleford, Thompson, red deer and Prince Albert and not Brampton. How many people from South Asia are in tents, homeless and drug junkies. Very disappointed in Pierre Pollieve over this one issue. They need to go back to India. We don't need competition for food, housing, and jobs. Aren't things bad enough right now without the pressure of all these so called students ? Pierre what are you thinking ? Kindness and compassion us Canadians have . Some of those students look much older then what I think a student would be. I shop at a independent grocery store not part of a chain well I know all the ladies that work at the cash registers about 2 weeks ago I go shopping I thought I was in a different country everyone working the cash registers was from India all students but let's remember give business owners a payout for hiring these students so the business saves money and get cheap labour iam against this it's counter productive for Canada.

Sadly we have extremely weak leaders in Canada. Our Canadian young people thanks to DEI can’t find summer work so they can afford the next semester at school. They came under false pretences. This video reeks of Racism, laws (if they want to be fair) can never retrospective in nature/application. All the students who are already in Canada should have the option to be eligible for a PR, they (the Indian students) went there for a better life, they have their entire existence dependent on the fact of becoming a Canadian citizen eventually. Deporting them would be a loss for India as well as Canada, as many of them will end up with depression and feeling of failure. \n\nThe Canadian government must allow these student who are already in the country to apply for citizenship and make citizenship and PR rules stricter going forward. From what I know, Sikhs are upstanding and outstanding community and great addition to any society, Canada will be much better off having them, than leaving them in a bad state by deporting them.
