I would never move to the US. Not on your life. Your statement that one can get healthcare for several hundred a month is ludicrous. Most Canadians don't have to pay anything, except their taxes, which are not higher than most Americans pay. And the huge costs of healthcare pop up at the worst time, when you're really sick. But that isn't the only reason. I loathe American politics. I loathe the American tendency to brag about how great they are. We Candians are not the greatest country on Earth. We can take advice from other countries. Americans tend to go on bragging and insisting their way is best long after they've been proven to be wrong.

Luckily was able to purchase a home 6 years ago in a smaller town on the outskirts of the city. Now my commute is 2 hours a day and my gas bill has tripled and all my expenses. \nThen I drive into work as an educator and can barely make it through the day bc the school system doesn’t support the amount of students. Classroom sizes doubling, no supports, classrooms taking place in hallways. Had to go on stress leave awhile back, but could barely get medical attention. Had to literally beg a doctor to take me on.. only reason I felt I got medical attention was bc he was my mom’s doctor. Yup this is life now and not fair to anyone. Problem is I feel I don’t have anywhere to “go back to” \n.. I’d leave Canada too now if I could, def. Not what it used to be.

Little late to the conversation, but i only recently discovered this channel. I can agree with the majority of opinions in general, politics, guns, healthcare etc are all better here in Canada. Sure there may be safe pockets in the US but that’s not typically an issue in Canada. You don’t need to strategize where to live here based on that stuff, but may need to take into account the weather as it drastically varies within Canada. \nMoving to the US would typically be based on a job opportunity and likely wouldn’t provide much choice in location - go where the work is and unless it’s opening a small shop somewhere or working in a rural setting, you’re likely going to be in a bigger city where the majority of the violence is. Even so, with laws like ‘stand your ground’ you could get shit anywhere if you piss off the wring person. In Canada, you might yell at each & flip them off, then you just walk away without concern of being shot. You might get jerseyed though. ?

You pass by my old apartment in this video. I literally had to leave Brampton because im disabled and worked in mississauga and could no longer take the bus anymore because of the influx of students. The buses would literally drive right by you if you had a stroller or mobility aid because there's no way for people to navigate on the bus. Theyre so overcrowded, i imagine theyre running at over max capacity. I would watch elderly people who were even more disabled than myself get on the bus and the international students who were sitting in the disabled seatinv would look up at them and then back down at their phones. I would be yelling at them to give up their seats for other people while i stood on the bus leaning on a cane. They litterally do not care about anyone but themselves. And no matter how many times i complained to Brampton transit about disabled people not being able to properly use their services anymore, nothing came of it

If their intention was not studies why canada give them visa. Canada actually can take interview or has facility to reject without reason. Canada is greedy to take 5 to 6 times more money from international students and so can give facility to citizens. If person become it is OK but country become greedy it is not great for region. I’m a Canadian truck driver. It’s time to teach these drivers from any other country that we do have laws here. I get passed by trucks being operated by people from his country all the time in most unsafe manner. Often on hilly roads with curves and blind spots. They pull up beside you and then motion to you to slow down so they can complete the take over. How ever in the Humboldt accident I believe it was a matter of not paying attention. But blamed on sunlight blinding the driver. What ever the case was laws are laws. They are there for a reason.

So all tge international students not really cames to studing they came to get a job and later apply for a permanent resident in the same construccion companny. So is no more jobs for the canadkans poor whi no jobs is not food and not housing for them. Because they are taking the shelters hlysi g and a food banks to. As an Indian these so called students were dumb to leave India where growth is taking place and go to Canada, I think in long run it is good if a few get dissed. as someone who grew up in BC canada, I can give many more vital reasons its absolutely awful here. \n\n1) Poor health care: everyone thinks Canada is so great for free health care. Be ready to wait up to 12 hours in hospitals to be seen for 5 mins. Also, my aunt passed away from waiting on breast cancer surgery in BC.\n\n2) Poor infrastructure: Roads here have been the same since 1960s, but now we have millions more people. Rush hour traffic is insanity in vancouver and toronto.\n\n3) Inefficient roadwork: Road construction can take up to 10 years, they close the road and leave it, I rarely seen people work on it and it causes far more traffic\n\n4) government promotes laziness: My friend who is a doctor works 2 days a week, why? because why would he work more at far lower pay? it all goes to taxes anyways\n\nI can give many more reasons but this is getting too long

Tue there are many Indians. Many do really really well but what do Indian have to do with whites dying of addiction! Majority of the homeless in Canada are whites. Indians on other hand band together and survive. Thats why live appaling living conditions like 16 people living in same house. Since they are willing to do that some land do exploit them. I have lived abroad for last 47 years, with god's blessings and grace life has been good, have pension and free medical treatment doctors medicine,i travel to India every year but medical treatment is a scam there and any thing which is simple abroad is complicated in India especially if they know you are living abroad they make it more complicated or scam you especially for medical treatment, traffic in Bombay is terrible, takes hours to move around in cabs , public transport its not possible to travel, so much or garbage around and pollution and the heat and rain its impossible to get out the house starting March until September its terrible luckily September to March can manage in India and its winter time abroad during that time,if it was not for the winter abroad my first choice would be abroad compared to India, people who are used to comfortable life and maids in India can't manage abroad, even I can easily afford a maid when I m in India I do my own house work in India as i do it abroad\nThe millions of Indian who live abroad complain but never coming back for good\nSorry to say indian are the most racist even among themselves caste, religion, State,and 99% of indian are fake and show off much more than their worth

Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

I was an international Student....15 years ago. I paid about 30k in tuition A YEAR.. I was NOT allowed to work off campus, i was allowed to work ON campus for a maximum of 10 hours A WEEK...in order for me to maintain my Visa status i had to maintain a GPA over 3.5 AND i had to be enrolled in an accredited institution. Our international student department had a quota of how many students they could recruit from every country... Rent was affordable, jobs were aplenty and when it came time for an Internship companies would come do hiring fairs and fight to get students to want to work for them. Now they get about 60k applicants a year that are willing to work for free and taking away from actual citizens.\nAfter 8 years of working and grinding and stressing i earned the right to get a Permanent residence...i had to commit 3 years out of 5 to stay here and work here and pay taxes for me to become a Canadian ...it was the proudest day of my life. I was filled with a sense of achievement that has been shat on by these students. \nIf you or anyone would actually like to talk about how it should be feel free to reach out.\nI will tell you this for free...if a Canadian Citizen did this in my country .. they'd be on the first flight home.

The balls on these people. They need to leave the country when they are supposed to legally do so. Canada and actual Canadians should take a stand on this and don’t back down. I do not drink coffee or eat fast food. So I have no need for these people. Get your education and get out. I am an immigrant that came to Canada legally. No one bent the rules for me nor for people whom I have met here that are also immigrants all legally from several different nations in Europe as well as Caribbean and South American. All actually hold decent paying jobs nurses, engineers business owners ect. They work hard to make a life for themselves and their families to become successful Canadians. Send all these students back when their time is up. If not it’s only going to cost Canadians and immigrants that contribute and wish to be Law abiding Canadians that do more than serve food and coffee.

Canadians have their homeless and disabled and elderly to take care of, not foreigners... taxpayers pay for infrastructure, unis get rich and then taxpayers have to dish out billions for immigration.. yes, immigration costs around $20 bln per year, not sure how much those students cost.....

So Canada gives them a nice gift and a helping hand and now they demand the store become theirs. Send them back and let them try getting in legally with skills we need. Canadian sons and daughters can pour coffee as their first job instead. Enough is enough. Canada has to take care of Canadian citizens first. I am a normal good hearted person and if we need coffee pouring people then fine , just apply in a legal way with a background check to know what kind of person we think of letting in for any job that is not filled by a Canadian.

It's great that people want to come here and study, but... When you come here and abuse the rules and work well beyond the limits of your work permit and work double and triple the amount of hours that is not ok. Another issue is when you take only business courses and then fail out just you didn't actually get any skills that are needed in this county to allow you to stay after your schooling. If you follow the rules, great! Come learn and work and share our culture for your school term, but if you don't want to follow the rules...

As a Canadian past middle age with health issues, I lost couple of my jobs to these younger international students with fake papers during & after Covid as the employers know they can just pay them minimum wage for a heavy equipment operator job. Now going back to a service industry as my health issues dictate & doctor’s’ orders I now have to slow down what was decade & half ago the wage was substantial to live on is now below it’s just minimum wage because employers now can get away to just hire these students at minimum, with most of them came here under false pretence as students but in reality take jobs & decent lives from hardworking tax paying Canadians, I know we’re immigrants here too, if you’re not native then you’re an immigrant eh, but these people are swindlers undermining our very lives.

I also am a Canadian born and I don't recognize my country our culture has change, the immigrants are trying to take over our country and not give Canadian artists a chance to preform. What a shame indeed. They should be a shame of themselves and respect our culture. I'm in school and can't ever get a place to do my placement and I know of other Canadian borns who are struggling to get jobs and the ppl told them that they want immigrants and refugees first and then Canadians when is this going to end. It's not the fault of the student's. They pay a lot to get here and they work in the service jobs that many young Canadians do not want to work in if we even have enough native born Canadians. They are victims of the greed of Post Secondary institutions and the mismanagement of the Trudeau government. Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.

These so called students are frauds, the vast majority of them were enrolled into the scam colleges in Brampton so they could bypass immigration and come to Canada and work for Indian run companies (because those companies do not hire anyone not from India), these colleges offered MC diplomas that were absolutely garbage. Indians used these colleges to get more Indians into Canada and continue to take over our country.
