This whole situation is the Federal Government’s responsibility \n\nBusinesses want cheap workers \nSo they say they can’t get Canadian workers,, which is a lie…they can \nSo these businesses can get the federal government to give a grant you pay half the wages of foreign temporary workers \nYet they all become permanent residents, with no intention to ever leave. Further the government and businesses won’t pay Canadians a living wage, instead let them be homeless and get foreign workers to all live in one house or room and pay them cheap. \n\nThe true Canadian citizens in Canada are treated as second class citizens in their own country \nBecause the government is treating the people of Canada as commodities, easily disposable. \nLook at maid policies for goodness sake. \nLook at Veterans \nIf you can’t work because your disabled or senior \nThe government is literally writing you off as disposable \n\nGovernment is running the Canadian people and the country into the ground \n\nWhen are people of this country going to have a say in their own affairs \n\nGovernment spending for one should be held accountable to the people of this country!\n\nThe government is completely corrupt as we are seeing with our own eyes.\n\nThe amount of tents for the homeless is out of control \nYet, the government is putting refugees in hotels and feathering their nest for one whole year! \nSo the refugees can work save all their money and their housing and meals are paid for. In the meantime the refugees are taking out credit cards right left and center and driving our country more into debt than ever before.\nCanadians got a reputation as being “nice”\nAt the expense of being nice, inclusive and welcoming \nCanada is destroying itself\n\nI can tell you that a Canadian would never be able to go to their countries and get away with what they’ve received here in Canada..,and there is no one else to blame except the Federal Government and Large Corporations who are feeding each other hand over fist. It’s complete hypocrisy and corruption. \n\nAn independent review of the government needs to take place and those responsible held accountable.\n\nNever have I ever seen Government being held accountable for any wrongdoings. \n\nThings need to start changing \nPeople need to start opening their eyes to what is really happening in this country. \n\nAs a Canadian I am disgraced with how this country is being run into the ground. \nAnd how the Federal government is turning its back on its own citizens that worked hard for this country.

So sick of demanding students from Canada, let alone whiney foreign exchange students. Get lost! Government needs to stop the high influx of foriegn students. Our priority is housing, and healthcare for Canadian citizens. Rules are rules, temporary means you have to leave. And Pierre Poilievre you need to change your stance and concentrate on young Canadians first!

Of course the students will allowed to stay in Canada....the politicians in this country are weak...since when should a student from another country demand to stay here just because they studied here....I don't believe there were any promises made when they came here that they would automatically be made Canadian citizens.

I loved Canada and I wanted to integrated the culture here at the time I became a citizen. I became a nurse and worked hard till covid mandate rolled out. This country had been shifted to dark world. I am considering going back to my origin. I don't know the identity of Canada anymore. It is very sad.

No one is talking about people coming to Canada on Tourist visas from abroad and converting such visa in work permit for eventually apply for PR. Now if we fly into Vancouver with our dog, what are the prospects of renting an apartment in Langley or area.? What are the prospects for finding an job in tech repair? And if he finds a job making 30 CAN an hour, will that be enough to live on? We are Canadian citizens and living in New Zealand for the last 20 years

Lived in Canada during the oil crisis. You can immediately tell that the country relies solely on oil and gas. Their STEM graduates will mostly go into oil and gas for jobs and if that industry tanks, that goes the job market. The software engineering grads have the option to go to the US and they do. So Canada does not need more skilled immigrants because their own skilled citizens can't get jobs. They need the low wage immigrants to fill the low and manual job force. So,you don't have to imagine what will happen if those people can't get a job.

Canada should run the same system as the Middle East and Dubai ..you can come there to work ..but never be a citizen of the country or have the same rights as locals and if you commit a crime ..your on the next plane back to your country ??

Yup. As a Canadian citizen with Chinese background who is now moving permanently to the US, I testify. I’m not settling for the cold characterless mediocrity that is Canada. Me and my family just moved from Canada to El Salvador last year. Why did we leave? One word - wokeism. We were afraid for our children! This ideology is very dangerous for our youth. They're being indoctrinated and supported in public schools to pump themselves with hormones and mutilate their bodies with surgery to change genders. It was so scary to us that we high-tailed it out of there! Not to mention the government tyranny. Many people still dont see it but many have now woken up to the reality that our government is moving away from democracy towards socialism, and we believe eventually towards totalitarianism. Don't get me wrong, socialism and collectivism in general can work well for societies if the government has the people's best interests in mind - but in a corporatocracy, that is NOT the case.

The issue with Indian immigrants is that they have brought political disputes to Canada, including the involvement of the Indian government in the targeted killings of Canadian citizens of Indian origin. I'm Canadian; lived abroad for several years (in Europe). I returned here a few years ago and one of the things I love about Canada, which I really noticed was contrasting to Europe, is that we are not afraid to be self-critical (even extremely so), to re-visit the injustices in our past, acknowledge them, and work to try to rectify them. Also, there is a strong sense of community: most Canadians want to help improve their communities and help our fellow citizens. There are indeed some serious problems, as there are in all other countries, and we hope to overcome them and improve our society by working together. For me, one of the beautiful things about a country, what makes its society really interesting and even attractive, is our ability to constantly recognizing our mistakes and faults and try to improve upon them.

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada. But I find myself questioning why I was so obsessed with it since childhood. I realize that I earn more in my home country than the average Canadian, even after taxes and rent. Perhaps Canada nowadays is more appealing to individuals from India, the Middle East, and Africa. If I were from these regions, I might still consider moving there. All those who leave Canada will come back in 5 years. They will worship the country for its economic growth beginning with a new Clean energy sector. Canada is full of natural resources, untapped critical minerals etc. and has been able to garner large amounts of foreign investment from large corporations like Honda, Dow and BHP to develop the much demanded clean energy and Energy transformation better than the USA. I strongly disagree with this video. Canada is still by far a superior country compared to US. The home crisis is common to UK, France, Italy and many other countries, even without migrants. Compared to the average US citizen, Canadian enjoy a better health system, a competitive infrastructure system, some of the best educational possibilities and a greater equality in opportunities. It's often referred as an European-like country, and its human development index largely show how a successful model it is. This video emphasize some points without mentioning how bad the US situation is (healthcare disaster, the broken municipalities of the country, the private debt explosion, the educational debt, the federal debt, the gentrification of the major hub, the falling of the dollar as a world reserve currency and many more)
