So ... why is it ok for Palestinians to protest for Palestine in Canada but not ok for Indian students to protest against what is clearly unfair and unjust ? Government policies should impact new incoming students and not those who are already in the country on basis of earlier rules. Rules should never be changed suddenly and randomly. That makes no sense.

I understand the sentiment people seem to share that international students and other temp workers are taking jobs away from citizens and permanent residents. However, teenagers here are so self entitled now and are unwilling to do the jobs at McDonalds and Tim's. The laziness and lack of competitiveness is killing this economy.

International students should come just to study not to work, if they can pay the universities fees, they should be able to pay for their bills. Foreign workers are need in some jobs, for example: agriculture, housekeeping, or skilled workers are ok too but we can see every store, fast food shops full of Filipinos and Indians, and they’re like mafias, once a Filipino is a manager, they mostly hire Filipinos and same with Indians. My daughter and her friends have been applying for a part time job in Tim’s, McDonalds, a&w, Walmart and other grocery stores and barely get a interview and never hired?, ahh but my daughter’s Filipino friends are all working ?, some of them where their parents work?

I'm all for people from abroad, coming to our education system, because we have the one of best in the world, get an education, establish yourself here and you can make a great life out of it and you'd be accepted. Learn our polite and law-abiding culture, and you would be accepted. If you come over here with the expectation of becoming citizens, because our government markets it like that. The amount of times that I met Indians that don't care, are rude, entitled don't deserve to be here. On top of that, they bring in their third-world culture and thinks it's ok to behave like that. Yes, bring your culture. Bring your massive weddings, food, art and traditions. That's what makes canada such a great nation. But leave all the other things that you're trying to escape in India or avoid in India. That's why there is so much hate towards them.

Many jobs are taken over by students and visitors who many are getting paid by cash for working. Canadians are left with no jobs and will loose their homes for unable to pay mortagges and bills. THe Canadian government must send back the Students and Visitors as soon as possible!!!!!

I am an immigrant who came to Canada as a child and grew up here and got my citizenship I’ve talked to so many international students they all cheat openly. They cheat on their scores to get here and then cheat their way through the school and then demand jobs??\nMeanwhile I can’t seem to get one

I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. Our regular customers started going else ware because of this problem. I'm afraid Canada is no longer a great, desirable country because we have aloud it to be taken over by the east indians. It is the governments fault but is is also the fault of the indians because they have not adapted to the Canadian way of life. They want us to adapt to their way of life. I love my second gen immigrants Indians and they're parents the immigrated properly, not coming in as students and demand PR and don't want to leave. No houses. No jobs. These students smash cars, have 0 manners, throw garbage on streets, 20 in homes, increased crimes and total disrespect to citizens that have lived here for generations. We need these types to have respect towards Canada, other immigrants, citizens...this isn't Vegas where you party without guidance and parents. These are Indian students, please dont call them International students mostly Punjabis. They had an easy access to Canada through these bogus study visas. They have taken over all minimum wage jobs . In my area i do not see any other ethincity at all.

Studying in Canada has always been a scam that benefitted the colleges and the students who pay great sums to avoid legal immigration lines. This has been an open secret. Besides this, how does India benefit from losing its educated people? Time for a re-think.

As an Indian myself, i highly respect the decision taken by the Canadian government since sooner or later this decision was gonna be made just like in Australia. These borders are opened to study further, and eligble people only should be considered to get permanent residency who would contribute the foreign land with good skills like Doctors, Engineers, and so forth, not just for menial jobs. For the sake of an easy citizenship, there is a huge trend to go Canada for Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis. They are not ready to upgrade their skills while studying abroad, and return home to contribute to thier own nations, while they just want to live there, yet still complain we face unemployment. Some of my nation students, unfortunately, don't even know how to speak English properly and pay a huge amount to their agents to go abroad. This is a good decision for them, but a sad decision for those who genuinely want to study in some good courses and wanna get into white-collered jobs.

There is nothing wrong with immigration if it is properly regulated. There should be a standard to earn immigration and the system needs to be strict with youth who come here as students. So many immigrants don’t even bother to learn the language. The hospitals are over crowded.
