We need to stop being ashamed of NOT wanting a cultural change. I'm not hiding my thoughts any longer, yes they are taking jobs, yes they are lower wages, yes they are creating housing problems but what really concerns me is the cultural change. I'm Canadian, not East Indian or a muslim and I don't want their customs or culture in MY country. PERIOD.

Dumbos government didn't send a plane and asked you to come. You could go other countries for study but chose Canada because it is banana Republic and you know you will get PR after some small bogus course. Australia don't even give PR to people who studied there unless they study the profession which they need. I like to go to Japan and live there so I will go for study there and then demand Japanese government to give me PR??? government is not saying no to you but government wants you to study the profession which is needed not fast food servers, security guard and truck drivers because for these jobs people are already here in Canada in tons. And when you saturate the labour market for these unskilled jobs then the corporations would have upper hands and they will suppress the wages and the living standards of everyone will go down. So don't try to become victim here I know you are Punjabi and I am from third world country too these tactics are old to become victim. Go study skill trade and build home for Canadians and then the government will give you PR no doubt. But you pendoos Jut came from Punjab villages and can't study hard subjects and looking for easy ways to get PR.

What Canada NEEDS is AFFORDABLE Housing for the working poor, OW, ODSP and get the homeless who want housing.\n\nAll Pubic Colleges and Universities should be AUTOMATICALLY adding a housing cost for International Students. This way these foreigners aren't creating housing problems for the local community. So Colleges and Universities should be buying property within REASONABLE DISTANCE from their Campuses that are only for CURRENT STUDENTS actually taking classes. \n\nThe Government needs to be RESPONSIBLE for LOW INCOME housing. More people are finding themselves unable to take care of themselves. Which leads to severe drug abuse and homelessness.\n\nNew Development should be required to be the most effective version and sustainable version of Green. 15% of the apartments should be for low income, OW, ODSP and Elderly. This will help the Government properly plan out Public Housing across each Province and Territories.\n\nThe next question is why are all these East Indians who aren't becoming TRUSTWORTHY doctors, nurses, business owners competing to live in Parkdale, Toronto versus the East Indian Hubs in Ontario.

Canada’s statistics are no different than Australia, USA and France for example in terms of homelessness and home ownership. Apparently being a nurse for example is not an occupation our children want nor do they want to clean toilets or work at Walmart or 7-Eleven. \n\nWe love shopping at Walmart with all its cheap Chinese goods and refuse to shop local businesses. \nWe get what we deserve. These refugees are highly skilled and don't want to go out into the rural areas where their skills are needed. They're just going to where all their people are going - to the big cities. We cared so much about their suffering and wanted to help. We couldnt end the war in their countries so we offered them a safe place to share in our home (country) so they could build a life and live in peace. Dear blame it on your politicians.They wanted cheap labor and that cheap labor also bring along millions of dollars that partial run Canadian economy .Then the international students majority of whom again from India add billions to the Canadian economy.If you need money and the cheap labor then you have no option but to bear them.Canadian are used to living on various government doles and they do not do the hard work while these immigrants are fighting for their survival, work terribly hard and that too at very cheap rates and they save a part of their earnings which eventually make them home owners.Canadian on the contrary used to living on government aid at many the levels, earn, spend and enjoy and thats the reason they are homeless.Sorry for making ripples.

Him being deported or not doesn't matter, the rules and regulations that allow such inexperienced drivers drive these huge dangerous rigs is a huge problem. I get that the economy suffers from a job shortage in the truck driving sector, but this is NOT the way. How about that u do some research and check the points system anyone with a good job who is contributing towards the growth of the country would be held under the pressure of points system and would be forced to do jobs which has lower crs points or go to provinces like this which don’t have enough jobs to support our qualifications. Canada really need people...rather than illegal immigrants , you have legal immigrants who are working and paying taxes and you want to kick them out, what a biased video. Canada is weak economically. It needs immigrants. Labour market itself is very very weak in Canada. They arent asking for money they are asking for permit to work and contribute to the CPP and pay the pensions and everything infrastructure.

I live in Bangladesh. If I want private healthcare, I can book an appointment today and possibly see the doctor this evening for $5-$7 per session. The really really good doctors? The professor / vip level ones? $10-$15.\nIf I need to do tests, I'll get em done the same day and probably get the results the day after.\n\nThe government ones? ¢10 but then I would be standing in a line for like 2 hours.\nIn my hometown alone there are 35-40 private hospitals. It's a suburb-ish kinda town. There is also one semi-giant 500 bed government hospital. Most services are free there except AC cabins.\n\nI personally don't wish to go to Canada.

Deport my god what happened to Canada. These people only associate with their own and block us out. Come on really housing has gone un afordable. You can find many family's under one roof. Housing is not reachable for young Canadian family's who want a back yard. Housing that was $15,000 or so is $500,000 up to un reachable a crap tear down I seen was $535,000. And you need to build a new house. That use to be around $60,000 to $120,000. Canadian family's don't have a chance to have normal priced housing any more because of over immigrants. The fact you have to pay a couple HUNDRED bucks a month is crazy! We have extra coverage with our jobs for chiro, massage, dental work, but i NEVER paid that much for it. And like I said, the work insurance is for extras, not basic care. I'm on disability so no work insurance and i haven't paid a dime even for major surgeries that meant 2 seeks in the hostital, 2 days ICU, rehab, meds, home care. That's all covered by gvmt (Yes by our taxes, but we actually don't pay more taxes than you) . I would need that extra insurance if i wanted to go to a private clinic or something.\n\nEven the homecare that I have, not the post surgery one, basics like cooking and cleaning, is paid by a gvmt program to come 10hrs a week for me but they also cover full time! People need to understand, Palestinian refugees are unlike any other refugees in the world. Once Palestinian refugees leave Palestine, they are never going back. Many of these students were sold a bill of goods by various people who promised more than they should have. As our PM has stated students coming over has not been the issue, but having temporary workers come over has been. What had been traditionally 2% has been 7% plus. This is what needs to be reduced, but in most of these cases no one wants to do the jobs they have, such as fruit picking. Thanks Trudeau, soon enough we will be able to walk across lake Ontario, just like the Ganges. First hand knowledge here, while enjoying a day at a park, a Hindu/Paki or whatever they were numbering about 50 having a picnic/family get together, age ranging from 1-80 with 20 or so full grown men. Despite their being a trash can every 20 metres, and numbering 47 total in the park, the family left the garbage all over the ground and tables and left. The mess, considering 50 ppl you can judge for yourself. Now in our world if I call the law on them I am a racist. Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

Im Bangladeshi-American, born in America. My parents were immigrants. I dont understand how its anyone's concern what language people speak with family and friends or if someone does not know English. In a free country, you can speak whatever language you want, wear your cultural clothing, and eat your culture's food. why does one need to adapt to the local area? The law doesnt oblige them... Also, these indians came legally no? In a democratic Canada that let them in... people voted for this directly or indirectly. Also, to your point, its the whites that are homeless and on drugs, how are indians to blame for white failure in Brampton? Indians have strong work and study ethic, so you should welcome that. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. If your white here they won’t even rent to you even if you wanted to because they know the only people that will live in those conditions are them. Rental adds being racist saying only brown people but if we we be put on blast.Not to mention they will only hire their own kind once they have ones in management. \nI had ones move in my place and sure enough 10 + people in it within 2 months and the place is already infested with roaches.\nAnd we wonder why crime , drugs and homeless is going crazy.\nUse Canadians need to start fighting back doing the same only hiring and renting to Canadians. Start threatening them do go back home but no we don’t because we all sit back and do nothing. Yes, they will be granted a stay. They need to go home though, not only are they not needed they are not wanted. They want to take over not assimilate.

It's great that people want to come here and study, but... When you come here and abuse the rules and work well beyond the limits of your work permit and work double and triple the amount of hours that is not ok. Another issue is when you take only business courses and then fail out just you didn't actually get any skills that are needed in this county to allow you to stay after your schooling. If you follow the rules, great! Come learn and work and share our culture for your school term, but if you don't want to follow the rules...

The problem is that india has a very far right wing party in power n it doesn't care about people of their own country except some...n punjabis dont belong in them that's why....they want to move to friendly canada...it's good on governments side of canada ro be helpful to those in need but their needs to be aome standard to it...with only young n having good qualifications or good job.

Why were effective systems not put into place to sift through correct immigrants? Is it because we have not had enough people in the country to handle such potential situations? Lack of growth population? And an aging population that is now retired and no well developed educated ppl to handle the new change and system? Does that mean we need more people, man power, to handle such issues politically, economically? Where will we get these ppl with a declining population and the fact that we don’t want immigrants?? There must be a better way but what, should just keep our population at 30 odd million when G7 countries are double or even triple that?
