Small correction - After more votes have been counted it looks like Trump will not win a majority of the popular vote, it is down to 50.00% with still more votes to be added, and you should wait until all votes have finished being counted before stating that he won a majority of the popular vote.\n\n\nAlso I hope the other commenters realise that almost all people crossing the southern boarder are legal migrants claiming asylum legally. Anyone walking up to the US and claiming asylum legally must have their case judged and are legally allowed to remain in the US whilst that happens.

Wow, there is so much misinformation here. Nobody is talking about invoking the insurrection act. Like what? Also there is no issue with deporting illegals and their original countries dont have grounds to refuse to take in their own citizens. A good 60% of this video is just flat wrong or conflates illegal and legal migration.

There is a very big problem with trump's xenophobic screed to create fear and hate of immigrants. Instead of addressing the need to fix the difficulties immigrants face to enter the country legally or how many legal immigrants we will need to grow the country - we have demonized immigrants for trying to make a better life in the US.?

The key to addressing these issues isn’t for the government to simply 'deport' illegals; it’s to make life in the host country so dependent on legal status that it becomes nearly impossible for an illegal immigrant to prosper or live a normal life. What we see now is the opposite—some states don’t even require proof of legal residency to issue a driver’s license. When services like healthcare, education, and more are offered without any checks, why would anyone bother complying? A parallel society forms, where people learn to bypass hurdles with the help of others already entrenched in the system. The same applies to sending money back to their home countries.\n\nIf you impose harsh penalties—not just fines—on those who hire illegals, you’ll deter locals from exploiting their cheap labor. This would naturally lead to many illegals 'deporting' themselves in search of countries where they can blend in more easily. Furthermore, there’s a 'support system' that guides illegals on how to navigate life in the U.S. as undocumented residents, which should also be addressed. But instead, Democrats often seem to do everything possible to favor their presence, especially in certain cities.

You really did a piss poor job here of distinguishing the difference between legal and illegal immigration. I'm completely on board with legal immigration (within reason). The US is a nation of immigrants. That does not, however, mean I support it being an open field day at the borders for illegals to come pouring into the country completely indiscriminately and unchecked. Stop conflating illegal and legal immigration.

Get those illegal immigrants out! I want them here but I want them here legally so they can contribute to our society! We must enforce the law.

Besides distinguishing between legal amd illegal immigration, it would be good to know the numbers behind the types of undocumented immigrants. Many of these 11 million plus people actually belong here in the US, such as the Haitians and the Deeamers (which y'all neglected to mention). But if your asylum claim has been rejected or if you've overstayed your visa (which accounts for many), then deportation is fair. But we need a grand compromise. A path to citizenship for Dreamers and people who are under special arrangements (again, like the Haitians), deportations for most others, with a new visa regime for people who have been working in parts of the economy that - to be blunt - Americans won't.\n\nAlso, most of the people here without proper documents are Mexican. And most came through Mexico. AMLO let that happen. Sheinbaum is going to need to address that. Many Mexicans are also greatly unhappy with what's been going on for the last few years.

My main concerners are human decency and the chance that a legal immigrant will get caught up in the mix.\n\nFirstly, i am concerned we will return to the concentration camps of the 1900s and the people in them wont have adequate supplies and support ehile they wait to be deported.\n\nSecondly my concern is for those on a green card or other form of legal immigration getting caught up in the mix and not being let go. I guess this also includes children of people here illegally who were born in America.\n\nFinally i think we need to stop thinking of asylum seekers as illegal immigrants. If you have come here and submitted the proper paperwork to be here then you should be allowed to stay until your paperwork has been processed.

The video is a bit biased in the presentation of their argument. Most people are still pro immigration just that they want legal immigration.

Many, many Americans make a distinction between legal immigration and illegal immigration. The center and right are supportive of LEGAL immigration, as it is part of the unique fabric of our country - but are against ILLEGAL immigration. The American left tends to purposefully muddy the waters on this issue, so they can make anyone opposing illegal immigration look like they oppose ALL immigration.\n\nThis is also a distinction that is often muddied or glossed over by Europeans when they try to understand American politics. In Europe, being opposed to immigration, generally means you’re opposed to all of it, legal or illegal. So many Europeans incorrectly view the America center-right as being anti-immigrant. That’s not the situation, at all, in the US.

To all those supporting the cracking down on these ‘illegals’ there’s something I need to know. Tell me, if they folks had an option to immigrate legally, would they? That is dishonest. It was not a bipartisan border bill that shit had $60 billion going to Ukraine, $14 billion going to Israel. It also legalized illegal immigration to something like a 5000 a week. It also altered the process to basically hand wave away a lot of the vetting process to just let them in. So to simply call it a bipartisan border bill is not telling the whole truth. It wouldn't have helped the issue, it would have swept it under the rug.

I really don't see why this is controversial. You HAVE to moderate immigration regardless of your own political leaning, and to do this you need to deport anyone who slips through the cracks. Make immigrating legally take less time and be less complicated, this is how you encourage legal immigration while also discouraging illegal immigration.

I feel like much of yall dont know why illegal immigration is in such an state in the first place, currently, there are no legal paths for immigration, only if youre work-sponsored, or you have a family member, so of course people are gonna cross illegally, the human trafficking market is billions of dollars deep, for every hole they cover, a new one is gonna be created, is something they already said.\n\nthese are people in very deep economical situations willing to sell their homes and abandon everything they have to cross to a highly dangerous path through deserts and mountains, at the very high risk of dying and getting assaulted by the gang members they use, an people think its just because they cant wait in a line? and this is not a rare sentiment too, 70% of people think that there should be a legal path to immigration, but unless thats solved, immigrants are gonna keep coming. Half of the people living in the country illegally are not being extradited back to their counties because their country will NOT take them back, these people are from China, Russia, India, (and others). There are also many who seek political asylum. The vast majority of this people entered the county legally , applied for residency , were denied but stayed in the country because the government couldn’t send them back to theirs. Contrary to the belief most immigrants aren’t coming from Mexico but from Guatemala, El Salvador and Venezuela.

Important Context; Donald Trump, JD Vance and Tom Homan have made it clear in various aopearances (rallies, podcasts and TV interviews) that their deportation plan makes no distinction between legal and illegal immigrants, with an estimated 1 in 15 families in America being threatened with deportation by their criteria.

As a long time follower of this page... it's time to unsubscribe. You should be able to differentiate between immigration and illegal crossing of the border. I'm a master's student at a top university in the US, my dream is to be staying here LEGALLY and after years of work I want to build my own family and company here. My background is checked before I came here and I'm entitled to the laws here. Unfortunately the situation is really bad with illegals as they have no papers, they can literally go away with everything. They don't pay taxes, they commit crime and don't face the consequences. A guy from my programming class told me his best friend's sister was r*ped by an Afg*n criminal and he's still out in their neighbourhood.

Despite his rhetoric Trump cannot legally mass deport. In fact immigration judges not the President have the final say on who can and cannot be deported as immigration related cases must go through the courts per the US Constitution.

TLDR, I love yall but the time is now to stop pretending that Trump is constrained by what is legal. The Supreme Court and him owning the legislative can make whatever he wants legal within a week. And he obviously isn’t going to be deporting people, only the lucky ones will be deported. Everyone else is going into militarized camps, one might call them concentration camps.
