I already paid my tuition fees and about to apply for Canadian student visa. \nhousing, employment, medical service, weather, everything seems fucked up. \nBut the more I research about Canada, the more disappointed I am.\nI don't even know if I should apply for visa anymore.

Canada is a fake first world country. The reality here is it's a race to the bottom. Unsustainable housing and rental pricing, mass immigration boom driving down employment opportunities and pay scale, devastating ER wait times at the emergency room. I've heard many stories of Indians and other minorities returning to their home countries as they found Canada unlivable.

@jatindervaran As the cic portal says, under 'Employment Letter(current)' it should be Canadian Employer's letter. But if I am going just on a visitor visa, and only have Indian Employment. So shall we add Indian Employee letter or nothing? And if added by mistake, how can I remove the uploaded document?

Correction to earlier comment Quebec spends at least a billion a year to have its own tax return \nQuebec has the highest income tax in Canada that is almost double British Columbia and Alberta\nAccording to an article in the Journal of Quebec, it wastes/spends at least a billion dollars per year by having its own provincial tax return, unlike all the other provinces that use the Canadian federal system.\nIt gives unnecessary employment to about 7,000 people who could be doing more useful things for the Province

Canada feeds on immigrant money. Employment is high, but doesn't allow you to buy much. For the money you earn in Canada WITH a degree on a very good job, you can't afford any kind of more or less decent mortgage. free healthcare is deadly inefficient. Think twice

Hello all, \n1). 3:50, create IRCC portal account on applicant's name then proceed your application. \n2). You don't need to provide Employment letter under additional documents.\n Let me know if anyone has any question.

Hello Anna and Anastasia! Regarding the truck driver option: after finishing a canadian truck school and obtaining the licence, is it legal to look for an employer on a visitor visa while still in Canada? Thanks!

This is nothing but making money for colleges. Colleges are competing to get students . The students has to survive and employers have taken advantages.

We Indian's are economy of india and play massive role as student, employe, CEO etc.... We help other people/countries.... We never exploit any others countries or foreigner... Like that...

Hi … In employment letter section what document should I upload. Is it my employment letter or my dad’s. I am inviting them.
2022-11-17 0
You should do video on exploitation of Kenya women to middle East countries thru the agent yet those agents are paid by the employers yet the agents charge the women searching for work
2022-11-14 0
If my parents are retired, the employer letter is theirs or my employment letter in Canada to upload in the optional documents
2022-11-13 0
You can’t just show up with a degree no one heard of , expecting employment straight away, you should have enough savings to live of, it’s criminal to expect 30k would do anything for you in Canada
2022-11-11 0
That's the story of every international student. Finally, someone reveal this. It's like decide thousand time before going into a system but once we enter, there is no way to go back. But exploitation is always done by Punjabi employers. We suffered plenty of things.

We can't keep hospitals open \nOr gas prices down \nOr employ people adequately \nOr feed people adequately \nOr get clean water to the first nation's \nWhy do we want to bring more people in ?

It’s true that Most students do not come here to study, study visa is just a stepping stone for pr, the dream of settling abroad comes with big price tag. Students have been exploited by agents, collages, employers. System is rigid, not only for a particular group but for everyone of us.
2022-10-24 0
On the top of it Indian employers exploit them too. Such a shame?
2022-10-23 0
Do we need NOC from current employer to get Canada PR?
2022-10-22 0
In all fairness, some of these students have very unrealistic expectations of what employment in Canada looks like. I have a family member who is a store manager at a Canada wide clothing retail store. Students are coming in and asking for $22/HR to work part-time doing sales/cash.

Hi from New York, this is terrible and to think this is going on with Indian international students in Toronto, GTA and it’s perpetrated by the Canadian government charging 5 times tuition and Indian-Canadian employers creating this living nightmare...is there no humanity left and it’s all about the money? Good to know that there are some decent human beings helping these students but a terrible situation all around and never ever take education for granted
2022-10-19 0
Canada has become another corrupt country...\n\nfor PR also.. employers are selling LIMA for $50,000 CAD... and ppl in India are buying to get PR.... \n\nCanadian government is aware but don't want to do anything as thy are menting money from this process

Its nt all abt dreams ....m from punjab (india) ...employment situation here is only getting worse each passing year .....hardships wich students has to go thru all these ...most ppl know it from even landing in canada ....but its much better to work somewhere in mcd subway or wallmart in canada den being unemployed even after getting masters degre or phd in punjab ......

Canada just relaxed the rules further, this is only going to worsen the situation of these students getting exploited more. By both these unscrupulous colleges(which the AG of Ontario should investigae) as well as employers. But what do we care we now have thousands of minimum wage workers who will fill jobs that Canadians don't want. Like someone said on the program. We will look at this in 10-15 years as a scar and a form of shameless exploitation.

Btw, garanty of success, of employment, doesn't exist and it's baked in the capitalism system that private enterprise and private college prioritize profits (btw, for non Canadian, education, is not subsidized). \nNow, if illegal/fraud practices are occurring, then like any Canadian, you will have to make a complaint to the police and/or take legal action (basically If you don't have money, you're F!). \n \nMaybe the Ontario government should have more stringent laws for private Colleges and recruiting agencies, like mandatory advertising for: \n\t- the required money for subsistence and the low likelihood of finding a good job that will enable students to work; \n\t- the % failure, homelessness, suicide,... \n\t- mental and social stress, differences,... \n \nMaybe Canada could: \n\t- be more stringent with student visa and have a written acknowledgement that states all the risks and pitfalls. \n\t- Guive visa only if the recruiting was done through accredited agencies \n\t- Do official advertisements in India about the risks and requirements of studying abroad. \n \nMaybe a full capitalism society is not moral, but it's the system we decided to live in.

hmm .. when I worked in Japan for about a year locals told me that if I wanted to obtain Japanese citizenship I had to either perform a heroic act saving lives, marry a Japanese woman or officially employed in Japan for at least ten years. Just residing in Japan doesn't count. I have also heard that the notorious Nigerian crooks of Tokyo marry Japanese women to obtain citizenship. Reading the comments, I am stunned Canada hands out citizenship like napkins, are we talking about dual citizenship here??? and what about when they don't like the cold and decide to leave, they still can keep that citizenship like some sort of collector's badge? Like, I said before, this is stunning.
2022-10-16 0
Unfortunately, a lot of employers don’t recognise these degrees from these “colleges” like alpha.
2022-10-15 0
This is so exploitative, the only winners are the colleges with their massive salaries, benefits and pensions. This is to exploit the poor to pay for the ultra privileged union employees and the provides slace labour to exploitive employers. This whole program needs shutting down.

As a former international student in Canada who’s gone through all of that; the harsh winters, super high tuition, homesickness, employment uncertainty.. \nmy advice, RESEARCH BEFORE YOU COME TO CANADA. Getting here is easy, staying here and thriving is a whole different story.\nYou will have to work doubly hard, adapt quickly, have a fortitude of steel, and please TAKE CARE OF YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH.\nTo those thinking of going through this journey, all the best to you.

Why is the father telling Dillpreet not to quit to reach her destination. What is her destination? To get out a useless piece of paper that cannot give her sustainable and meaningful employment.. just to sa'y shegot a Canadian education that' not even worth the paper it is printed on is no goal.

All of the Walmart's, Tim Horton's and every service job is filled with foreign students. This is a race to the bottom exploitative system that benefits employers, colleges, government, landlords and companies.

If you make $150,000 a year living in Ontario, Canada, you will be taxed $51,669. \n \nIf you earn the same amount in New York, USA, you will be taxed $47,513. That’s $4000 less taxes than a Canadian pays, but you will probably pay more than $4000 in private health care costs (or your employer will). At the present exchange rates you will likely still be ahead in the USA by a little bit but this changes over time.

Aslam e Alikum ..... please share any case study regarding a person doing job in Pakistan as a Govt. Employ BPS. 14 or above ... who applied for PR or Work visa for Canada and UK and successes .. \nThanks

thanks for the update.\nplease ma, I have checked the website, almost all the employers are demanding for high school diploma.\nmy questions are, if I apply for that job, will my employer ask for my results over there? I mean do I need to go with my results to Canada?\n secondly, will my employer pay for all the cost of relocating to Canada?

Hi Jason,\nThanks for your informative video.\nI am a foreign worker currently in New Brunswick, and already had 8 years experience in NOC 2173, now I am working under Designated Employer, just wanted to confirm that can I use my 8 years work experience to show 1 year eligible experience for AIP or shall I work for 1 year here in Canada, to prove my eligibility, note my NOC is changed from 2173 to 2283.\nThanks.

In Australia, we get 4 weeks annual leave based on a 38hr week. I didn't realise Canada was 2 weeks, rising to 3 weeks after 5 years of working for the same employer and 4 weeks afrer 10 years. That does seem restrictive. Apart from that, Australia has high taxes, high insurance costs etc.

It seems like most of them came there for a better life and they have it, compared to where they came from which is Nigeria, lots of the people there are self employed.
2022-09-16 0
Canada is optimized for its working classes. Anyone employed full time in Canada can have a decent quality of life. When you go to a developing country to work at local salaries, you will understand how hard it is to live in a developing country.

I live in the US and it's no Paradise it may be a little better than Canada in some ways financially but the US and Canada basically have the same economic and employment system I would like to move to a country like Rwanda or the Philippines ultimately with my savings stable countries with low cost of living
2022-09-16 0
Taxes are similarly high for me in the US but we get far fewer benefits here. For example healthcare is tied to your employer and not all people have equal access. But i do agree that the public healthcare in Canada usually consisted of long lines.
2022-09-16 0
If you are self-employed and incorporate, and maximize your write-offs, you can reduce your effective tax rate to around 15%.

I'm a blk American born and raised and l have serious interest in moving to Canada. Since my people are from the US this is all l know so Im acclimated to the racial climate of the states. A lot of your cons are the same issues many face in the states. Taxes are crazy cost of living is insane wages are stagnant and you basically live to work. I live in Minnesota which is not far from the Canadian border but originally from New Jersey so I'm used to the cold. The health care system is sh*t here. Noone really has money to pay privately that's why our care is funded by employers. At the current moment there is also a shortage of medical professionals so often times you still have to wait months for appointments but you know what l would rather wait and have my taxes pay for my doctor then go into medical debt. My biggest issue with America is you pay all these taxes and reap nothing at least in Canada you can kinda see where the money is going.

When you are young, you can't really feel it.\n\nI wish to stay in my country, but go on vacation strange countries if I have time.\nStrange land is strange land.\nNo place like home.\nI have build my home. And have car and a good self-employ job.\n\nWhat then am I looking for in foreign land.\n\nContentment is number one In life.\nStudy your country, you can be give people what they will be paying you for.\nWith time you will be know.

I am sorry but I completely disagree. There is a difference between a surgery being delayed and rescheduled verses not being able to get the surgery at all because you do not have any healthcare. Even with employment many people cannot afford their employer sponsored healthcare because the premium is too high. All of the things you mentioned might be better addressed outside of Canada but definitely not by coming to the US. Our wages are not high, the tax rate is around the same 30% or higher by now with the tax hikes. This truly reminds me that we all have our individual circumstances that fees our perspectives and sometimes we do not realize what we have until it’s gone. Great discussion though #blessings

Thankyou for such an informative video.\nI am told that the employers in Canada do not entertain outsiders directly and that I will have to approach through a consultant only. Is it really so?
2022-09-13 0
In US, restaurant workers often don't purchase enough health care insurance. They are reluctant to visit doctors due to high deductible and copayment. Restaurants hire part-time workers so they don't have to contribute towards their health care insurance premiums. In Canada, you are insured regardless of your employment status.
2022-09-13 0
In the U.S. your vacation time depends on your employer. Very rarely are people getting a month off. 2 weeks is average, and alot of companies make you accrue days per pay period. So it can take you a full year to gain alll of your vacation time. So imagine that.

Great presentation, good viewpoints all round. But I notice all submissions on earning speak from standpoint of paid employment.\nWhat is the prospect for investors, entrepreneurs, importers/exporters etc? Must everybody work within the paid employment system?

Africa Governments and private companies need to invest in education based on the indigenous natural resources . This could be achieve by employing overseas and local lecturers. Africans don't need to go to country like Canada.
2022-09-08 0
Same with UK for everything said. You can just replace the name Canada with UK and it will still be true. With the exception of the weather, while UK weather is miserable, it isn't as bad as the Canadian weather, and the we get more than 2 weeks vacation.\nAlso, how much of a work life balance you get is subject to your role and employer.
