My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. Are sketchy parts of all cities, but it’s definitely not community wide\n\n- are small pockets of homelessness (esp but not only indigenous community) but the governments are mostly (sort of…) “on it” \n\n- sun, sea, sand… and the sharks rarely come close to shore!

People in the parlement have a wage over 100k per year to be on a seat, time is money, but they can't focus on their results. That tells me these people never live injustice and can't fight in the reality where everything is not fair and we have to make better despite all efforts are ruined by corruption. They don't need to have results on their decision. They know tomorrow, they will do a second chance and spend time make money.

Indians should be banned from every First world country. They are inconsiderate, don't care about any one else's culture, less a mess everywhere they go, fish illegally, drive wages down substantially, take up housing that citizens really need.... I really could go on and on and on...... Honestly, no one needs them. I have seen entire suburb's house prices crash due to essentially an 'invasion' of indians.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. Then that same government will labels us as right wing extremists simply for the fact that we no longer support our current government for example. Canadians are more angry now than they have ever been. The RCMP have been advised about this across the whole of Canada, so you know it is a real issue. I can control myself and will never snap at others due to how frustrated I am, so I would like to apologize to those of you that may have a bad experience with another frustrated Canadian. All of our troubles in Canada is due to very excessive immigration. Every single aspect of housing, education and healthcare could not absorb this unsustainable population growth. And llok at it, immigrants are not willing to give any money to income tax but they want the service sithout paying for it. That’s not the way it works. I’m a GenX and I bought my house for cheap in the 80’s. Now taht it’s paid off my cost of living is the price of housing taxes so about 300$ a month for a recent suburban house valued at 850k$. It is almost impossible for immigrants to buy a house like that. That’s why we not only need less immigrants but we have to make existing immigrants to leave Canada. We are not the dream country they hoped for mainly because of them. Leave.

Canada isn't alone, in fact inflation and other problems have been worse in peer western nations. The only nations that seem to be doing better with 'economic growth' are places like China or other societies that place value in public services. Best of luck on your journey. I immigrated to Canada about 10 years ago, and I've done better than the US where I came from. It still is the case, as I go back to visit family in the US regularly and the job prospects are grim, the pensions are even less secure, and union membership is even starker than here. Precarious work is the norm in western nations, and its often worse than in Canada. As a dual citizen, I could choose to get up and move tomorrow, but I'll never return to the US as there is worse places to live than Canada... But I did have a long journey to find stable employment, so I realize Canada isn't perfect. Have you thought about ending work as a content creator on YouTube and doing something that might be more productive or fulfilling? It might be a start to a better future. It may even be better than moving to a different country that would have the same or worse problems.

I'm an international student. I believe this dilemma could have been prevented by having an online interview with each temporary resident applicant, especially students and their spouses, before making an entry decision. I'm not criticizing what the immigration department has been doing, but proposing an effective way that only the right people are coming into the country. This could massively reduce the number of immigrants coming in. However, I believe it is unfair that students and their spouses are left hopeless after spending tons of money on Canadian education.

I live in a town right across from Buffalo NY Toronto the last 7 years have been filled with Indians we had basically none but in the last 2 years they’ve literally have taken over the town I live in if you go to McDonald’s Wendy’s A&w etc it’s literally 100% Indians that work there and they barley understand English so they mess up your order half the time ?‍♂️ fast food restaurants are typically entry-level jobs that teenagers work at so they could save up for college etc not for all the Indian immigrants that come here and now it’s getting to the point the managers of these restaurants are Indian so they only hire their kind it’s getting bad unemployment for teenagers is at an all-time high in Canada

There are only two things about living in Germany I could never adapt to. The more or less atrocious weather during seven months of the year and the crazy tax burden. I still feel robbed looking at the huge difference between salary stated in my work contract and the actual take-home pay. On top of that, consumer and energy prices are bloated due to abusively high indirect taxes. It's all the worse considering that in neighbouring Switzerland the tax situation is the exact opposite, without compromising government service quality in any way.

Essentially because Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada didn't care who they let into the country and flooded it with anyone from violence--ridden countries who could make it to our borders. Thus while no doubt getting some worthwhile immigrants plenty of people who were troublesome in their own country were now gifted to Canada. This resulted in increased crime and violence at the same time the Liberal Party of Canada moved to disarm Legacy Canadians and to reduce punishments for criminal behaviour. Pretty much the same as in not so jolly old England although we haven't reached English levels of daily violence.

Instead of addressing the main issues which were housing crisis, cost of living rise and shortage of jobs, I am not sure why these people are so derailed and blaming people who are legally here. If the government could not provide for housing and jobs why did they invite so many international students and immigrants. Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

The Canadian government benefits from having a street attack, because ordinary law-abiding people, thinking about their safety, could not afford to waste time protesting against the government, Trudeau sleeps peacefully while Canadians do not sleep all night watching that their car would not be stolen.\n\nIt has come to the point that criminals in Canada are immune from the police, this is absurd, but it is a fact that if your house was robbed, you do not have the right to detain the robbers yourself, otherwise you will be arrested.

They want to protest but refuse to be interviewed to share their views on what's happening and why they need to leave. If you're there to protest and fight for your rights, it makes sense to take advantage of the interview and clearly express what you're fighting for. Ignoring someone who wants to understand your perspective suggests you may have an attitude problem. This could be the reason you're being targeted—because you're unwilling to do something as simple as explaining what you're standing up for. Kudos to the only man who accepted the interview, even while someone was trying to take the mic away from him. In the end, I hope they can find a solution for both our Canadian and Indian brothers and sisters, and that their countries will prosper again, creating more opportunities for them.
