As an Indian myself, i highly respect the decision taken by the Canadian government since sooner or later this decision was gonna be made just like in Australia. These borders are opened to study further, and eligble people only should be considered to get permanent residency who would contribute the foreign land with good skills like Doctors, Engineers, and so forth, not just for menial jobs. For the sake of an easy citizenship, there is a huge trend to go Canada for Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis. They are not ready to upgrade their skills while studying abroad, and return home to contribute to thier own nations, while they just want to live there, yet still complain we face unemployment. Some of my nation students, unfortunately, don't even know how to speak English properly and pay a huge amount to their agents to go abroad. This is a good decision for them, but a sad decision for those who genuinely want to study in some good courses and wanna get into white-collered jobs.

Honestly, im sure they know they arent wanted here. They know its us against them so they refuse to assimilate. Make sure to not hire them at your business since they do the same to canadian born.

We are hurting for doctors, health professionals, skilled educated workers who can help with huge systemic failures since the pandemic but we can’t get them to come here ?those are the intl workers/students Canada needs to attract and can’t ???? luring low skilled intl students to scam colleges as temp fixes to our labour problems - a lot of corruption and mismanagement went into creating this mess with Indian intl students. They are the obvious scapegoats for a massive failure of multiple flawed short sighted policies.

I know you are young but if you are planning on leaving Canada, consider the potential repercussion on your old age security (OAS) benefits. If you are living outside Canada, you must have resided in Canada for at least 20 years since the age of 18. Not a showstopper but something to consider. Remember, unlike CPP, OAS benefits are given to qualified individuals regardless of their work history. Even at 38, you would still be young enough to begin a new career in a foreign country and accrue enough work credits to qualify for their social security. This means you could potentially have two sources of income in retirement. That's on top of your CPP or any other personal retirement funds you may have with your employer(s).

I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

As a Canadian who has immigrated here since 2000, I can strongly relate to your feelings and views. Canada used to be more welcoming for immigrants: there were more opportunities and things were more economically reasonable. The paths which Canada has taken over the last ten years or so...the additional burdens for the middle classes were quite hefty. The increasing crime rates that I see in Toronto is something that was unimaginable when I first came to Canada. Im a 35 male and based on my peers' and my experiences, I can say that, overall, it is financially difficult to live in Canada unless you have a high paying job or have some financial dependency elsewhere. @PierrePoilievre

New York opted to be a sanctuary city. I guess they thought it was OK since they were so far from the southern barter but now that they’re being hit from the north and it’s not Canadians doing it. I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. @DW News. I am A Doctor from India living in Germany since 7 years. Still i face alot of discrimination, although i speak C1 level of German. I faced descrimination for school admission of my Child. Beurocracy is so bad that i am thinking also to move to other country. Even after paying a Tax more than 2000€ a Month i feel i am not wellcome here, that i can feel from the behavior and read from the face of the people.

I do NOT feel any sympathy for these universities and colleges, as this just allows real Canadian students to fill these seats as it always should have been in the 1st place. If a university can not manage to operate with only Canadian domestic students, than just fold up your tent and close down. This Permanent Resident (PR) scamming has been a thorn in Canadians sides for far too long since day one in fact!

I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. We have enough of our own assholes

i have been in Canada since grade 6. been here almost 40 years but i am not sure where i should go. i think USA is one good option but its messy there also. not sure which country would be best but i am still well settles financially in Canada and i am still loyal to this land. i think we will be ok here if we just get rid of jagmeet and justin. they are not good leaders as they are not public servants but they divide people go for vote bank politics. many of the European countries the same kind of politicians have ruined it there also. When you come to Canada you well aware that you don't have the right or whatsoever since you are just an alien to their country, now they changed their policy and majority of you affected by these new policies. It's their country their rule, obey or go home.

They often say they're open minded and welcoming, but it's a surface level thing. Surprise surprise I even felt as an outcast/outsider w my husband's family (if it's about language barrier, they have way better English than my family, but my family managed to make my husband felt welcome and involved), received racism from my own in laws and my husband since I'm from 3rd world country.

I have to say as a white Canadian i have met some Indian people who are the nicest people but I have also had some that were the worst kind of people personally from my experience it has mostly been those who have come since the pandemic which is due to our government not properly screening people. As for brampton I was going to school and my instructor was Indian and I was surprised when he started bragging about when Indians first arrive in canada that they are taught by there church how to take advantage of the Canadian government systems and legally sue people he literally told me that and i was shocked that he actually bragged about that and thought it was perfectly ok i don't hate him or any Indian people but that kind of thing does happen alot in brampton and it definitely doesn't help Indians in most people's eyes especially when there's some bragging about it .and frankly same with the YouTube videos talking about taking advantage of our food banks not good at all especially when people are relying on them to feed their children.It also doesn't help when someone states there opinion and automatically it is called racist.

Germany changed over the last years. The punctuality, quality and efficiency are no longer there. DB is an example. Unfortunately this is affecting all EU but Germany has experienced a drastic downtown since Covid. Also school system are lacking behind.

I have lived in Canada for 50 years, and its important to remember why the TFW (Temp Foreign Workers) were needed in the first place, namely a lot of (wealthy) Fast Food franchise owners were unable to run their businesses due to a shortage of a reliable workforce, the Tim Horton's beside me closed in 2022 due to 100% turnover and poor customer service, and that was the fate of many other franchisees, since White Canadians view the fast food industry as a stepping stone to better jobs, much to the chagrin of millionaire franchisees, and i dont mean that negatively, you have to be rich to buy a franchise licence in the first place, and now they wont even hire White canadians, since they can pay TFWs less than the minimum wage, so it was used as a tool for wage suppression, and the TFWs are viewed as scabs who are helping to keep wages down and that is fueling racism.

The Prime Minister Trudeau wanted to create problems in India ,his migration policies clearly showed this and India has been warning since decade to not harbour people with extreme ideology. Canadian government went to such a extent that they divided Indians based on religion and ethnicity in Canada, so they had Indian, Punjabi, Sikh and Hindu 4 categories for Indian people. I grew up in Canada and I'm white. When I went to high school everyone who I met grew up in the country so it was very easy to socialize and make friends. When I went to college it was a very big culture shock because everyone traveled to Canada from another country mostly India, Korea, China and the Philippines. Most indians/immigrants ive interacted with are insanely smart people. In high school all the native Canadians were a lot less intelligent vaping is a huge issue but everyone was highly social so I was able to fit in easily even though im a pretty unlikeable person. The problem is that in college I couldn't really make any friends because of the cultural differences and since native Canadians are very rare where I was studying the culture was also kinda different. So it kinda makes me feel like im an alien in my own country. But honestly everyone kept to them selves a lot more. There are a bunch of other factors like people hyper focusing on studying but I wish people would just socialize more instead of just doing their own thing.\n\nI still remember back in high school when people used to know about everything that happened if there was something that happened everyone would know about it because everyone would talk about it there were group chats with tons of people in it where people would organize things or share memes. I think people should take inspiration from this and probobly do this more often but now its honestly just very lonely.
