I'm sick of hearing people from my country(Colombia) saying that they are looking to get there because of guerrillas or war. People who suffer from those issues in my country are barely making to our own cities, not other countries. Be honest and tell the officers that you want better opportunities and money, not BS about the country you are leaving behind.

Send them back. I came to canada in 2017 as an international student, paid shit tons of money for housing, tuition fees. Worked full time after graduation,yet my immigration process is taking long. Evey step I took went through proper screening, and yet it's taking forever. Send them back. At this point theres no gurantee for people like me to get permanent residence over here. With all the back logs etc. So why should they be granted status, while my work permit expires in 6 months and immigration officers wont bother to answer my phone calls for extension. I have paid my taxes, I have obeyed the law. I'm a law abiding citizen. At this point, I'm even thinking of going back. This country wants new talents and more people to add to their workforce. But if they treat people like me like this. Then we might as well go back.

We need to have our own Giant Factories and more Labor force and Health care worker relief. Let them in but they must work hard and cheaply and take Jobs most Americans don't want as they are starting from the bottom. Until they master English, they are not a threat to any jobs that you might want, and most don't even bother to learn which is good for us. \n \nHealthcare workers are working too hard. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. We must use this to our advantage while it lasts. \nCheap labor we can Build houses that are affordable. Fix all the infrastructure we have been crying about. \n \n5. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. Not only that but because we have immigrants we would have stronger ties to those immigrant countries which can come in handy later. Both US have negative birth rates and job openings. That's what the real problem is. Limited access to Legal Immigration. No immigration is economic suicide for both countries. Many small businesses are opened by immigrates. They bring skills and money. This is terrible. Why can’t our government simply hire more people to process migrant applications? And why can’t the US do a better job of pushing back on dictators that ruin their own countries, like Venezuela? Or provide processing stations in other states and encourage migrants to travel their, or provide transport? I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. I lived in India because my parents did not have the money to send me abroad. I am supposed to travel to Canada in another 5days with a work permit offered from my current employer in India with a salary which is above average in Canada. As an experienced professional worked in Indian IT market for more than 7 years, I want the Indian students to know that if you are planning to work in core subjects like mechanical, civil, electrical or electronics, only then you should consider this difficult option. Otherwise in India, there is a massive shortage in the IT & Software market. With 5+ years of experience, with right skill you can earn 30-40LPA easily. So be careful before putting your life & your parents' only means of survival at risk.

I just want point out the income and hate crime stats don’t necessarily prove any racism, a lot of immigrants end up making less money as there is already a lot of competition in the industry already and companies prefer experience in Canada itself, and the hate crime stats don’t prove much either as there will always be some racist people anywhere (and they are rarely race to their home country) so obviously the biggest minorities (the ones on the chart) will be more prone to hate crimes basically regardless of the amount of racism or the location\n (I’m not defending racism just pointing out facts)

I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. But if your life means anything to you as far as safety and raising a family then Canada wins hands down end of discussion. People that say Canada is boring is because they are boring. That's what I found to be pretty standard across the board. Life is what you make of it. But I will say that you gals definitely need to move away if you don't like Canada. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out. And just for your information Canada ranks annually as one of the top countries in the world to immigrate to. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. I wouldn't change my twenty years in Canada for anyplace else in this world and I will be moving back shortly.

I’m traveling rn, so I talk to a lot of internationals about the pros and cons of American. The greatest pros would be we are definitely the land of opportunity, so if you want make a lot of money there’s no country better. The people also have this optimism about the future that’s not as prevalent around the world, and the country is very diverse which means you can find a state that matches you want. However the downsides would be the stark wealth inequality, and lackluster healthcare. The polarization between the left and right, and the crazy urban sprawl which you never get used to.\n I think the inequality is due to us having this bootstraps mentality when it comes to success. Whenever I tell other Americans how lucky I am they’re quick to say that it’s all due to my worth ethic, but life is a lot more nuanced. Regardless I still love my country, and can’t see myself living anywhere else. ??

I think that's one of the largest problems in the United States. To be a real estate developer or landlord, I want to make good money.\n\nIf the cost of the 20 building complex costs me $125 million, I will set the majority of those to elegance and people willing to pay for that. But it seems quite greedy to charge exorbant rents and continue having that cost go up every year.\n\nIf mortgages in a median area are $2500, let me set the rent to maybe $1500 to $1800. But that's not the case!\n\nRenting, the cost of the apartment NEVER caps off! To think that I'm renting a 1 or 2-bedroom apartment at $1875, but no in-house laundry, no dishwasher, but I'm paying for water, gas, extra fees is insane! \n\nAnd these owners wonder why people try to kill them.

This video is spot on! My parents and I immigrated to Canada when I was in high school and I loved it at the time. My parents always complained about work and money and wanted to go back to India but I didn't understand why they were so negative. After I started working, I moved to the US to pursue more work opportunities and now I have been living here for the past 10 years. I always consider moving back to Canada since my family and friends are there. However, I don't see myself doing so for some of the reasons you mentioned in the video: high cost of living, overwhelmed health care, and the cities are a bit boring for living or traveling. The US is by no means perfect and has a lot of the same issues that Canada does (high cost of living, taxes, healthcare) and its own set of problems (crime, uneven school quality, political divides). However, for the time being it's a better fit for me which is why I continue to stay here. Ultimately I feel that everyone's experience is a bit different and they have to go through their own priorities to figure out if a move to Canada makes sense. This video is super helpful in providing context for people who are considering moving though!

First let me say that every country and I do mean every single one has their pluses and minuses Canada's major plus is the fact that crime is almost nonexistent as opposed to the United States where there is a mass murder every single day and a mass murder defined as four or more people killed in One Time by one person this does not even count where there is just two or three people killed at one time they're not included in the statistics the United States is out of control with violence guns you name it and I've lived here for 40 years I spent the first 20 years in Canada in my life was so perfect that I can't even dream of a better life the problem with most people is they move to the larger cities Vancouver Toronto I grew up 40 miles outside of Montreal on the great Majestic St Lawrence River one of the truly great rivers in this world my parents had a summer home on the river and every summer it was water skiing fishing boating golfing swimming you name it growing up 40 miles outside of Montreal if you wanted The Nightlife of Montreal one of the great International cities in this world then you could just drive there in less than an hour and enjoy the great nightlife that is Montreal as someone who is French and Italian I loved the winters because ice hockey was my favorite sport and I played all the sports nothing even comes close to the speed skill and excitement of ice hockey it is like soccer on steroids they're only two cold months during the winter January and February and even then it's really enjoyable as long as the temperature stayed below 32° I was happy because that meant that they could make outdoor ice rinks and I could enjoy my favorite sport of ice hockey all winter long Outdoors as someone who's lived all over the United States over the last 40 years I wouldn't trade Canada for any place else the United States is full of scammers I've been in all kinds of businesses working for different companies and there's rarely a company that I didn't get cheated by and had to take to the labor board for justice and compensation I trust nobody the main thing here is stay away from the major cities of Vancouver and Toronto and you will be able to have a great life with affordable housing and if you're into the outdoors Sports Canada is the greatest and best secondly Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and so there are a lot of Natural Resources that Canada has that is wealth for the country that will filter down to the average person what people don't realize is it when you live I've lived in Southern United States and most places the summers are unbelievably excruciatingly suffocatingly miserably hot hot hot at least in the Colder Weather you just put on some great looking ski wear and you can be outdoors and not be bothered by the cold because you eventually a climatize yourself to it Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and has only a 35 million population there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity and in a safe safe environment to raise a family and at the end of the day that's what it's all about I wish I could say the same for the United States being safe but no it is not and Mexico is they have six out of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the world and Tijuana is the most dangerous city in the world with almost 2000 murders and the year is not over don't believe me just Google it the reality is that the drug cartels control everything in Mexico and the police and politicians are afraid because the cartels are so ruthless there is way too much money to be made in selling drugs and the cartels will stop at nothing to make sure they get their money by the way most of my family still lives in Canada and are doing extremely well for themselves and I am the only fool that moved to the US

Being born in Canada I was proud of our multiculturalism and believed Canada was the greatest but as an adult I don't understand why people would want to live here. I pay over 40% of my income to the government for all the things that make Canada great but it is just not that way. My taxes help pay for programs that I am not eligible for because before taxes I make too much money but after taxes my take home is the amount that qualifies for programs but that's not how the system works. I need the program because I help pay for it but can't use it because of having money that is not considered to be mine. According to the CRA the money I pay the government in taxes does not and has never belonged to me but that same government labels that tax money as mine in order to deny me the programs I help pay for. It is a good idea to leave Canada if you can. There is no future for the working class except servitude to the government.

I want to move from us to Canada, mean reason the immigration is broken in usa for Indian and I don’t want my Indian born kid to face same uncertainty . We are earning in upward of 500k and have to take massive pay cut. After reading the comments and watching videos. I’m getting so confuse. I’m okay to earn less money but Canada should at least provide better healthcare and housing. Look like lot of thing are broken in Canada. Does moving to Canada is really worth? Would people commenting here, will you ever move back to your home country?

That's just like in the Netherlands. Tax.is very high and they don't want you to.get rich. Always have something to pay especially tax. High Tax, high rent, high gas prices, high health care. Everything literally everything cost money here!!!

Don't forget, everything cost money , if you want to reach out to a counsellor or something, it cost you a lot, only people who knock on your door , are those who try to sell yous something or scam you..

I think most people want to come to Canada because it has a reputation for being safe and that you can make good money when they convert it to there currency of their home country. They learn about the reality you described afterwards, that sure, you make good money, but you aren't saving anything to bring home unless all you do is work and stay in.

Everything has a price to pay, if you struggle in college, whatever the reason may be, living away from family, being alone, whatever the reason is. This is a price we have to pay for a successful future. Also, parents who really want to send their kids abroad, send them to good tier 1 European countries, Germany, France, Italy, Spain etc., US and Canada is just a slaughterhouse, the amount of money spent on a child's education there is unhealthy, universities in Germany are free, and the living expenses also aren't as expensive as US or Canada, had i known about Germany before I applied to US universities, i wouldve saved my parents a lot of money

We're heavily taxed here in Canada. You can barely keep half of what you earn as the Government siphons off the rest. Why would anyone want to move here when you don't keep your money until half the year is gone. The Government is poorly managing our hard earned money including too many who are living off the taxpayers.

I also wanted to open a college in Canada now .. wanted to make money .. great business ??????
