We are baptist and very very few churches preach the same things we preach here.. so can understand how you feel. In 1991, I immigrated to Canada when I was twenty years old. I did not have critical thinking skills. If I know the history of Canada, how they mistreated the First Nations, kidnapped people from Africa, and enslaved them in Canada to exploit their labour. As someone born and living in Canada I'd love to live in Singapore. I'd pay a premium to live in a country where the government was run by serious people and there weren't deranged homeless people everywhere, there was law and order, pro capitalist laws, etc. Housing and living expenses are awful in Canada, but I'd honestly be fine with that if I thought it was worth living here, or I saw a future in this country. Most of it's from India because we just put a 2 year cap on visa applications. We made it harder for people to get into the country, so of course many will decide to stay with family now that they can't move all their family over.

As an Irishman who moved to Canada 4 years ago I can tell you the country is in a shocking state, zombies on every street corner, violent crimes outta control, even my wife who is English was attacked while riding the train to work one morning by a random homeless person of Asian descent telling her to go home and abusing her with racial slurs, on top of this the prices of everything has shot up enormously from rent to your average grocery shop, woke culture is forced upon everywhere to the point I feel like I’m being controlled on my world views… both me and my wife are educated and have good jobs yet we just about keep our heads above water in a two bedroom flat in Calgary

I agree with all the points, as a Muslim that have been raised in Europe and living currently in Canada, I always thought that Islam was stronger here than in Europe, one of the reasons why I decided to move here, until I came to see with my own eyes scary things, mostly the indoctrination part ? omg. India brings a complete opposite religion, language and ideology to foreign countries. It’s the Indian the does not participate in community activities, and integrate into a true Canadian national identity. If rent in downtown Vancouver on the 25th floor is to expensive, maybe try moving to more rural communities in Canada, where costs are different in living. If you come from a poor punjab province in India whereas you’ve sold the farm to come , then don’t expect a downtown Toronto sky rise , 1500 square foot 17th floor underground heated parking, to be the dream destination of your vision. It’s comparable to moving from the punjab to downtown Delhi and expecting the same cost comparisons to the punjab. Unfortunately it’s not sad to see the Indian people go. My take on this is why did you leave India in the first place? Now you complain. All you have to do is pack up and move back. I am a third generation person of Indian origin and never been to India. I was born and brought up in Africa and live there. We have our problems but I will never leave my country and move elsewhere. The grass is rarely greener on the other side.

This story is misleading and the Title is completely false. Canada's Student population doubled in 3 years and Canada went from 7th highest Foreign Student Population per capita to 2nd, so the Canadian Student housing situation worsened quickly. So the Trudeau Government put a cap on Foreign Students and offered low interest loans to Universities to immediately expand Student housing. Canada has seen NO drop in citizen applications and still refuses far more applications then it approves. So with even Canada's low birth rate still combined with immigration Canada's population is the fastest growing per capita of Western Democracies at an annual population increase of over 1 million people a year. So the Headline about Citizen applications which had nothing to do with the story of Foreign Students.\nAlso I want to add they stated that the gentleman had set up a business to bring home students from Canada when in the interview he stated that Canada was only one of the Countries but stating it the true way is less dramatic and doesnt fit their Narrative. Also the story was clipped from India a Nation that has been ata diplomatic war with Canada for a year after their Government Murdered a Canadian Landed Citizen. So their Governement put out a warning for their Citizens going their amongst other revenge moves. So the story has so many outside bias to be sensible.

The headline is wrong. These people they interviewed are not permanent residents. Therefore they can’t apply for citizenships. They interviewed these Indians who were international students. Who come here misrepresenting themselves in their visa applications. Pretending to be students but come here to work and stay. Canadian government put stricter rules on them to crack down on bogus immigration consultancy and colleges that exploit these students. This news segment is not 100 percent clear. It is true there are pr or naturalized citizens of Canada that leave the country to move back to their home country or move to another country but not all are Indians.

Canada is now a much different place than in 1996 when I moved to this country which I called home since. Cost of leaving is really punishing for many and retiring here while maintaining a decent life style is almost impossible for regular people. I'm already planning my retirement in other places and I'm well on my way of achieving it. This is the unfortunate situation which many Canadians are currently facing. Gone are the proverbial good old days.
