Would not ever move there. Don’t even know when I would visit there again. Maybe I’d like to go (very many great places & things to do, lots of interesting history) but I don’t really want to take a chance with all the problems there. Probably won’t be going. Not to mention the insanity that has taken hold with so many ppl- crazy crazy times - I don’t even want to say I’m Canadian down there anymore because we get such ridiculous comments. I’ve even had people turn away if they find out I’m Canadian. Yes of course it depends on where you go blah blah blah but it’s exhausting & risky so really not worth it right now. As usual Tyler you’re really starting to understand! Just the idea that people always say “this never happens somewhere like here“ & then it does. Just the thought of “I never thought it would happen at our school“ and then it happens. No thanks

i’m canadian and i would never move to the states, my dad often says he won’t even visit again. the school shooting concern? maybe it’s just our news media but that’s literally the only time we hear of elementary schools at all in the states, and it often happens in places we’ve never heard of before, aka small town usa, so: it can literally happen anywhere in the states to me. for more gun violence here’s a story, i recently had a coworker go down the west coast usa with their family and almost immediately walk into a mall shooting, it really happens so much down there that it didn’t even make the news up here. i work in a mall and i’m never afraid for my life. i’m not being naive, we have guns here, and i work next to a passport photo counter and i see how many people in my town apply for PAL (possession and acquisition license) and it’s more than i would think and still i feel safe

If I was rich like many Canadians are that moved there. As a regular guy the health care and social benefits out way and problems with winter. Even if I didn,t work for some reason all those things remain. Plus you would start at the back of the line in Canada I continue with my personal support in friends and family. I wouldn't want my kids drafted either like during Vietnam days. Very war like country

The USA is ok to visit but I’m even avoiding that for the last number of years. I guess I’m just not ready to see firearms on people in a line up at a store; knowing that many others are (legally) carrying concealed weapons. There are many other countries that reflect my values on individuals (women, LGBTQ etc), that would be a second choice after Canada. And of course, the healthcare (or lack thereof). I can’t imagine being in a country that doesn’t support the health of all of their citizens and not just those who contribute to the financial health of big business.

Canadians who say that they'd never move to the USA fall into these groups:\n\nA) Ignorant: People who get their news about the USA from the CBC or any of the other MSM FAKE NEWS outlets.\n\nB) Leftists/Liberals: People who would only ever move to Leftist/Liberal havens, such as New York, California or Washington; and they're aware of how those states are extremely dangerous, with violent crime on the rise, extremely high taxes and fascist governments that make Trudeau look good.\n\nC) The Elderly: Unfortunately, most elderly people in Canada are on a fixed income; and the meager healthcare they're allowed to receive is still far better than anything they can afford in the USA.\n\nI'd consider moving to a number of states in the USA. It's a great country... great people (even many DemoKKKrat voters aren't as terrible as the people they elect).

Many Canadians I know would do so in a heartbeat if they could legally do so, but are limited to being snowbirds, even when they own property in the US. The healthcare situation tends to be massively overblown..

Over the years I've been to the US many times, most recently in 2014. I can tell you with 100% certainty that with the way things are now, I have no plans whatsoever to return. There are so many systemic issues, including gun ownership/violence being a self-fulfilling prophecy (everyone has guns, so I need a gun to protect myself, which means more guns in society, which means more people thinking they need guns to protect themselves, which means more guns), and that they've somehow allowed half the population's human rights to be violated (and fail to see that it's just the beginning of a slide down a very slippery slope). They tout that they have so much freedom, claim they have more freedom than anyone else in the world, but their freedoms are being taken away left and right from their federal government, all the way down to individuals who think that their personal rights and freedoms are paramount, even to the point of impinging on others' personal rights and freedoms. Add to that the obvious health care issues, the food quality, the environmental issues etc... No thanks.

I’m a duel citizen but I was born and raised in Canada and I would say I have more of a Canadian mindset. There are many things that I like about the States even though I wouldn’t move there. A lot of Canadians like to go shopping and for vacation. I hope to one day explore the North West coast of the States. I know there is a lot of awesome nature. This year however I plan on exploring more of Canada as I haven’t seen as much of my own home. \n\nTyler, I hope you will be able to come and visit Canada. It’s a hidden gem and the exchange rate is pretty good for Americans. I think that would be a really cool video. ?

I know a lot of Canadians that moved to the US because:\n- lower cost of living \n- warmer weather\n- better business opportunities or access into industries such as athletics, music and film\n\nAs a Canadian female living in Toronto, this is why I wouldnt move to the US\n\n1. Safety \n\n2. Racism\n\n3. Women's reproductive rights\n\n4. Health care costs\n\n5. Natural disasters- too many areas with things like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. Even snow, there are areas in the states like Michigan and Minnesota that get worse snow than we do here in Toronto being situated along lake Ontario \n\n6. Lower costs for college/university in Canada

i think you should have read the rest of that post at 10:48 just another reason to not go there alot of places denying basic human rights is complete lunacy in 2023. i know i will never go there even for holidays me being trans it is a high risk running into the wrong group or person (it is low risk but i have seen enough crazy looney tunes on here to be scared). just way too many ignorant people learning from ignorance is the worst combo which is one of the internets biggest flaw.

For many of these reasons a lot of Canadians are restricting or completely avoiding even visiting the US; in particular LGBTQ+ folks, and women who are or might be pregnant are really having to think about their safety and if they are protected under the law in the state or jurisdiction they are visiting.

At one point (before that last pres. you had down there) I would consider visiting the US for a vacation. I won't even do that now - never mind moving there. And I think what has happened with so many in the US is that they've become habituated to the presence of guns. That's not a thing in most other cultures and countries, unless they are at war.

Children ARE being shot on a daily basis all over the United States! You guys have multiple mass shootings every single day. There's so many of them that you don't even hear about most of them on the news because they aren't worth mentioning.

I wouldn't even think about moving to the US .. The US is so far behind other countries in so many different ways ...

This is the realest thing i have watched as regards this topic of migration. Most people just wanna relocate without putting in the work or doing research. The agent is always gonna sell what they selling because at the end they all after what they want from you. Thanks brother for this even though many might not like it.

As far as I’m aware Venezuela can be really dangerous to live in. I might do the same thing if I was born there especially as a woman or someone with children. But even men want to live. Easy to say that you should band together to overtake corruption but harder to do it when your life is directly on the line. I wouldn’t want to lose a father grandfather brother or son even for the sake of my country. This is coming from a Texan. I’ve had illegals do my lawn care and construction. Many are just trying to make a living. They sit outside all day long in the summers by my local post office waiting for people to come by and ask them to work. Cheap prices, too.

But now am in the process of filing for my mom to come as a permanent resident. Forget parents, even many immigrants are unhappy in Canada. Every time I run into an Indian who has studied or lived in US he is frustrated. 2 people in my team received their Canadian citizenship and have started trying for positions in US. 3 white Canadians in our company moved to US in last 2 year itself.\nCanada is not a great country from parents. It's cold, white and depressing throughout. Many parents can stay for relatively longer in California or Texas where there is vibrant community and weather is very much like India. I lived for 10 years of life in snow before moving to Canada - Massachusetts, North Carolina and Virginia. I just 2 winters, I feel depressed in Canada as it's white for 4 to 5 months.

As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

As a legal immigrant it’s kind of sad for me to see that people think they can just walk into the states. Our family had to jump through hoops to get in. I understand the situation in Venezuela because I live in Mexico now, but the fact of the matter is, many of them can stay in other countries and do just fine. I know many venenzuelans in Mexico who are making a living. Mexico is very generous with humanitarian visas, even for Haitians. They are prioritized more than any other groups. But they don’t want to stay in Latin America…. The US is some kind of fantasy for them. Why don’t they rush their capital this way?

Canada has developed a culture of rich-hating which drives polices that harms investments so even Canadians invest and do business in the US instead of at home. RE is a great example, there is so much red tape for developers and landlords I know many that just build homes in the US instead. Not to mention the government charges a flat tax of 50% on rental income. This has lead to shortfall of homes. Ontario population has grown about 800k since 2020 but the province only built 200k homes.

I will say in one part: you are very very right. \n\nIn another part, you’re looking for a lifestyle that’s more catered to how you view the world and your wants/needs. \n\nVancouver is gorgeous. And, many cities in Europe (even though they’re historically beautiful) do not compare to Vancouver. It’s different. East Van has a lot of character.\n\nBut you’re a pioneer of pointing out many truths and you won’t be the last guy that talks about it. This hustle, restless culture and sans community in Canada is both sad and also good and motivating to develop into something worthwhile. While in Europe I feel this distaste and misery for anything that has ambition to gather wealth.

It doesn't work that way for patients who are not in contact with reality.\n\nNow we add extreme drugs (crack, meth, heroine, ketamine, whatever they hand out at parties, etc) and severe cases of PTSD/PTSS. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? It makes no sense when most states are all turning away many migrants so even if they come here it be for nothing we are at the breaking point of destruction ??

It’s horrific how these ppl are forced to live, that is NOT life..reading the comments, it’s disheartening to see. Put yourselves in their shoes! Ask yourself many questions. Most Canadians are not elegible for legal aid or dental care. Who bears the cost of medicare, education, housing, policing, crime.....you guessed it, the Canadian Taxpayer. You know it is a propaganda video when she said the refugees give back more than they take. Do you see woman in a hijab or nicab working ?? The boat people of Vietnam came from a culture that honored hard work, education, discipline, creating wealth and the women had no restriction from religion in working with men (a lot of them were Catholic or Buddhist). It's men who work, if at all, and women are primarily for breeding.They are not allowed to socialise with men outside the family and have to be accompanied by a male relative while outside the home. Im 24 and been searching for a job for 1 year now. Not even 10 interviews. Im applying for EVERYTHING. Retail, production work, general labour, overnight work, housekeeping, cleaning / janitorial work, painting, customer service, call center, sales, factories..etc \nI'm applying in different cities and willing to take GO transit to work. \nI live near lots of big cities and somehow although they claim to be understaffed, they aren't hiring. \n \nI'd like to know the reason for this? There's nothing improving, homelessness is a MAJOR issue that is not being addressed but we are still taking in more people. These people are suffering and so many trying to get a job. \n \nI've contacted MANY agencies and they have had no jobs available FOR MONTHS \n \nCanada is only going to increase in homelessness. Theres been no improvement :(\n\nPeople suffering from homelessness and depression have been taking the euthanasia route because it feels like there's no hope or other option.

Although I do feel for these people, we don't even take care of our veterans let alone our own people. We have seniors unable to afford basic needs including food and medications.Conditions are really bad for many Native Americans and that is also a major issue. We need to take care of our own first. There are legal ways to enter the US.

I'm sorry for all these people but they need to go back home because we do not have the capacity to be housing all of these people we don't even have food I can afford food here so where are they going what are they going to do there are so many homeless people here already go home

Many countries purport themselves to be better at some thing than another country. I hear a lot of Canadians. Criticize other countries for their pollution, or CO2 emissions and oil production. Interestingly enough, Canada is in the top three largest CO2 emitted is due to the oil and gas industry Per capita than most other countries. So, if people are concerned about the environment, they should understand where Canada really stands.\n\nAdditionally, I think it could be important for you to talk about how expensive things are in Canada. Canadians pour over the border into the United States for better housing to go to Costco and grocery stores and shop for clothes and large appliances, and to avoid high taxation. They also come to the United States for better schools, better work conditions and higher pay. In fact, the joke is people immigrate to Canada as a steppingstone to eventually immigrate to the United States, which is why Canada has a big problem keeping educated talented people.\n\nSafety nets for society certainly have their importance however, socialist policies do not work the best. All they do is dumb down society by destroying competition and quality and quantity of and even accessibilities goods and services.

We are all one whether we see people as other’ or not. We’re humans. \n They’re not seen in media unless it’s a bad story yet we’re only now teaching one mandatory class by non indigenous people. Solution: elders teach their grandchildren languages that weren’t erased by genocide and environmental /spiritual cultural practices and lifestyles before they’re gone by paying first people elders and streaming it into all Canadian classrooms so the children can see a future where they’re valued and all Canadian kids can get a full education and learn accurate history. Making canoes, baskets, sacred ceremonies, food growing (that they taught to pilgrims so they’d survive here), etc. No, I’m not indigenous. I’m an immigrant like all but the first people. They’ve an amazing culture that’s been all but lost . When we don’t see ourselves represented in any media, any careers, and start our lives in extended poverty based on our race, and all that was taken still today, it’s no wonder the teen suicide rate for indigenous youth is more than double / triple all non - indigenous youth. Venezuela is an extreme socialist problem. They control all prices and hijack the concept of healthy business functions. This causes essential goods like water, food, and toilet paper, even fruits, are totally barren from stores. Socialism there is a nightmare and no one is living life their with decency. Read about it before you judge these people. Try to visit these countries or learn from someone who came from there before you form a solid opinion of politics folks They don’t have the ability to use much of their “freedom” to “fix” things against a rigged system already (some commenters say they need to go back and fix their countries- lots of issues with this). Read up on how South American governments make it almost impossible for their own people to make decent money. Americans are very privileged and that is an understatement. The problem is with these terrible governments and even law enforcement who often get bribed by criminals and many dirty cops in some countries down there. My husband is from South America, and we know Cubans, Brazilians, and Venezuelans who beg America to stay capitalist. That’s why America needs to stay American, and refrain from trying to be socialist.

In my opinion, if not just because of long time waiting for ILR and housing issues in UK, I will always prefer UK to Canada. Canada will give you easy PR but even with the PR, it will still take many years to achieve your dream in your profession. UK ILR takes time but within those times you must have achieved what you want. Some people that relocated to UK as ordinary carer have become registered nurses even before they get their ILR. UK needs patience and at last you will be glad. The issue is that many people want it so fast. They prefer getting PR faster than growing in their profession. That's why they prefer Canada.

There is more opportunities, because more companies choose the USA. We have a higher population so even thought there is more job opportunities in the USA, it is also very competitive. Your video gave a point to Canada for vacation and maternity leave rather than innovation and job opportunities. A lawyer in the USA has a better chance of practicing law than a Canadian lawyer. You gave a point to Canada for healthcare because of life expectancy. However I’d still give a point to the USA for healthcare. The life expectancy is a separate subject.
