I’m from NJ and just visited Toronto for the first time last week. I’ve never seen this many Indians or Pakistanians in a major North American city in my life before.

If you just put a ban on India, most of your problems would've been fixed years ago.

Things will get better in our country. It will take times.\nWe've got resources, a lot.\nThis will count soon, very soon.

I'm puzzled by the constant negativity and sense of entitlement I've encountered. As an immigrant from the EU, I've lived in Germany for six years and have only experienced racism once, at a club entrance. Ironically, I faced more racism in my own country during elementary school. In contrast, I've never encountered any discrimination in my job, studies, or social interactions here. Germans from various backgrounds, including dorms, sports teams, and university, have welcomed me to their gatherings. I'm a person of color and speak imperfect German, yet I've been treated with kindness and respect.\n\nGermany has offered me free education and incredible opportunities in industry and research. While I'm not wealthy, my quality of life is significantly better than it was in my home country, with plenty of room for improvement. I'm grateful for these opportunities and willing to contribute to the community. My advice is simple: be thankful for what you have, try your best, and if you're not a good fit, consider moving elsewhere and express your gratitude. It's that straightforward.

I've known people from 3rd world who came here and went back, because they thought this place was better, and discovered it was like every other hellhole. Pretty wrapper with rot underneath. Canada is no place to build happiness. It's a place to live in a daze, drowning in bills all life to end up lower than you started. In more of a dump with more desperate people. Impersonal, hostile, without an identity. Garbage country. I live here and it's everyday misery and pointlessness. Hollow life, hollow people. Complete meaninglessness. And a tyrant power tripping prime minister.

We’ve seen everything jump. This was all on purpose. There is no fixing this mess they’ve caused. You will own nothing and be happy.

I would blame the Trudeau government, but I also hold those who are bad ambassadors at fault, they get blame on the same level, I cant believe the things im seeing happ My grandfather drove a tank through Italy for this Country and it deeply offends me to see so many immigrants being brought in. I agree with your opinion, and I can sympathize with those who are here for good reasons but Canadians are hurting because of this government, there are no longer jobs , the prices keep increasing while what few places that use to be jobs for Canadians have an indian working and I can't help but become upset when I see so much pain, and have seen so many people take their lives or fall into addiction. \n I've had the pleasure of knowing Indians from the past before immigration became an issue and I would still hold them in high regard , but I care about Canadians, and that might even represent some indian immigrants but not the new wave that have arrived. I would leave if I had somewhere else to go and I think if you are an Indian you should leave for your own safety. This Country is going to descend into some kind of hell soon, especially if war is brought to our soil, anything big right now would kick off alot of hatred, pain, sadness that Canadians coast to coast are dealing with

I've seen managers and engineers with years of experience working in hourly wage physical labor jobs, because the market doesn't have appropriate opportunities. The mass layoffs are adding to the issue. Your barista might hold a PhD ?

So Miller believes they've done a fantastic job overall..... got it ?♂️
|

It’s too late. Canada has already become India ? they’ve taken all our jobs and Canadian’s are going to be the ones left on the street because Canada has become ridiculously expensive

We ve had Inflation for decades . Prices r too high greedy

We didn’t plunge into a recession?!? Why because they say we didn’t?!? It’s very obvious we’ve plummeted into absolute economic peril. Housing, energy and FOOOOOD are now consuming average Canadians incomes!!! ???

I've never seen a party campaign against their own policies before.
|
| 2024-08-26 | 0 |
They knew exactly what they’re doing. Create a crisis then come in like they’re the saviours to “fix” it. Too late, damage is done, no going back, they’re laughing their @sses off behind closed doors at screwing Canadians once again. I’ve never seen a government openly hate its citizens this way. But it’s happening in Europe and UK also .. *almost* as though it were a coordinated attack ..

What a terrible journalist. No actual questions to give insight into how theyre making changes.\n\nThrow blame at them all you want. An interview isn't the time to do it. Youve just wasted a time when you could've asked real hard hitting questions instead of a whole lot of nonsense questions about the past.

We've run out of doctors nurses police officers housing daycare and guaranteed very soon not enough food and water for all the mouths to feed

Let’s limit the liberal party of Canada , we’ve had enough of these mindless , activist plants ..

Trudeau's bosses finally figured out that decriminalizing coke and meth won't be enough to secure an election victory, so now they've resorted to stealing conservative policies ??
|
| 2024-08-26 | 0 |
A little too late Trudeau. You’ve ruined this country and despite you saying that you’re going to limit TFWs, you have also approved with Miller to give MORE people PR status. Get out of here!

The Trudeau gov is purposefully and deliberately sabotaging Canada. He and the rest of his goons dom't care anymore, they've already enriched themselves so they can retire and will flee the hellscape they have created to live on an island and be carefree until they no longer breath. We are now going to have to spend entire generations course-correcting the damage and what this liberal gov has done. Truly a clown world.

They've flooded food banks, destroyed low-income housing. There's even a bunch of them living in your local encampments.

It seems like Germany still has a lingering anti-immigrant sentiment from the 1930s, even though as a country they certainly need skilled workers. Germany is not the only country though, I've experienced racism in Poland for example, and I'm sure other East European countries are similar.

It's funny that I've been seeing ads promoting immigration from my country (Indonesia) to Canada

From what I've seen here Canada is attracting a better-educated class of immigrant than Europe, maybe because the cash investment required to get into Canada is higher than that required for Europe.

Canadians face racism and told to write letters to human rights. How does he get govt to step in and help. I've been a Canadian for 48 years and black for just as long as told pretty much to go f myself each time racism or hate crimes occur

I work in small towns across Canada and over the years, I’ve seen these charming towns, such as a Yellowknife, Whitehorse, Meadow Lake Saskatchewan, turn into Punjab . And sadly as much as the Punjabi culture is fascinating, Punjabi people do not have Canadian ways, nor are they skilled in our national languages, which makes it very difficult for Canadians to interact with them, or get served by them at the service jobs. Just ordering a coffee at Tim Hortons. It has become stressful. Nine out of 10 times I’ll get the order wrong because of language barriers. I am all for multiculturalism, but there is no more Canadian identity left in Canada.

I have to be a bit bias as my parents moved us from the Rockies in Montana to Calgary, one of my favorite cities. I've lived on 4 continents, in 7 countries, and an island. Every place has been an adventure. Now living in Europe for the past 30+ years, and loving it in the Alps.

Absolutely timely video. I came over to Germany with a DPhil from Oxford to work in the field of langauges and teaching. I've experienced countless micro discriminations and witnessed many illegal things. That's why I wrote a book about my experiences (Swallow the Toad: from Britain to Germany). Germany has shot itself in the foot several times with its extortionate taxes and social duties, hostility and aggrsession, and incompetent workers. I'm glad the truth is finally coming to light.

I live in the US but I really want to visit Canada! Some people do wear their shoes in the house in America as I’ve seen it but I can’t stand putting shoes up on furniture, especially my bed! To me, that’s disgusting. I’m glad most Canadians don’t do that!

Salaries aren't keeping up with rising prices in Germany at all. I've been living and working in Germany since Jan 2019, and right now, after almost 6 years, I make only 5% more (gross) than what I was making back then. At the same time, grocery costs has double since then. That's absolutely insulting.

I grew up in Brazil, been living in the UK for a long time, I've been to Toronto in 2017 and LA, New York, I saw homelessness everywhere. In the UK things have been bad for a long time. Accommodation is very expensive and landlords are very dishonest. I would definitely assume the UK has become a Third World Country. \n\nI would love to live in Canada but these days, Canada, US, Australia, UK and even New Zealand are very expensive places to live. I am aware more and more Westerns are moving to Southeast Asian countries > Cheap, Good people, Good food and is not full of drugs as it is in Western countries.

You are just getting old. Welcome to the Club. Change is constant good or bad; When you start getting older you start to resist change and see it as a treat...you long for stability, consistency and familiarity; You'll get use to it. If you don't its going to be a grumpy journey.\n\nIf you make a lot like you've claimed, the changes will not affect much because as income bracket grows, people well off live among their communities of peers.

I’m a student that’s just started their studies in Berlin, a multicultural city (by Germany’s standards), and I already don’t see myself staying here long term enough to want to work let alone settle down here. This is despite the fact that I’ve already invested a lot of time learning the language to C1 level. I can already tell it’s going to be a depressing next few years until my degree ends.

Loved this video. So real!! I think it's so important to always be moving forward in life. If Canada is that next step for you that's great, but if you've been here for a few generations and it's no longer serving you in the ways you need there is nothing wrong with searching for something more. I think for so long people have looked at Canada as this utopia and/or ultimate finish line destination but once you're here it's quite a shock at how difficult life really is here because of how expensive it is. Not to mention the climate... Hard enough living in the winter most of the year. Great video can't wait to see what's next for you :) !!

Pierre Trudeau was the worst PM I've ever experienced until his non-biological son came along. \nWho could have predicted this much damage could be done to Canada in less than a decade?\nI know so many people who came to Canada 35 years or so ago who have decided to go back to their birth country due to the poor state of our once great country.\nI'm hoping Canadian's vote in adults instead of this incompetent, self serving frat group next election. \nIf not, I too will be joining those who have decided to leave Canada.

Just came back from a month long trip visiting friends and family in Toronto and this is by far the biggest topic that has been brought up in every conversation I've had. But you can always tell it's a taboo topic when it comes out only in the comfort of their own homes or after 2-3 beers. ?

I'm Canadian, and left over 8 years ago. You couldn't pay me to move back. \nWhenever I go home to visit, I'm absolutely shocked at the prices. Although I'm from the East coast, I spent my last few years in Toronto. The apartment I used to live in was $1200 back then. The rent for that same apartment has now has doubled in price. Groceries are also ridiculous, and tipping culture has gotten out of hand (even though service has gotten significantly worse in many places). Besides spending more time with family and friends, I can't think of a single reason I'd ever move back. Even if I wanted to - I couldn't afford it! \nI've lived in 7 countries since, and have preferred them all over my home city. ?
