All I know is we need to do what other countries do to Americans that enter or stay in a country illegally and that’s not allow them to leave until they pay a fine which increases per additional day of overstay and to leave you need to apply for a visa. At least as a country we would be fairly compensated, every country treats this like a business so we should reciprocate.

The problem with accepting a lot of immigration from countries like Venezuela for example is that all the good people that have some influence flees the country, leaving tyrants to stay in power longer since most of the opposition fled the country. If they want to leave the country because of the elected government they have to stay over there and solve their problem. On top of that I have many friends who came to the U.S. because of the government but go back to their country every year for vacation. I am not against immigration, and if we are smart we can get more people working and contributing with taxes, I just don’t like the fact that most of this people are good people who fled their country to leave tyrants free to do whatever they want.

If we had an immigration program where after passing a background anyone can join a roving us work immigration camp where for 5 years they’ll work and get free education afterwards so they can save and pick up american work and life culture. \nFor 5 years every new migrant will be building roads, laying water and electric lines and building homes and neighborhoods. This will bring cost of living way down here in the USA while doing a faster better job of Americanizing our newcomers. We would be able to rise our population level really fast without harming the American white picket fence dream. \nLastly the program won’t be available for just migrants, our own people can get guaranteed work if they would like to join the program.

Over 300,000 homeless veterans wander the streets searching for food and shelter currently. Dying at an estimated rate of 22 a day due to self inflicted harm….the system in place to take care of them and provide comprehensive medical care is crippled and broken….every SINGLE ONE of these men and women has a head full of bad memories and experiences from defending their country in war (some missing limbs)….can’t hold a job and have trouble finding a job….NOONE is making substantial and reinforced efforts to care for these brave men and women. Yet, if you cross that border illegally you’re given shelter (free stay at 5star hotels in NYC sound nice)…comprehensive medical care…food stamps and even job placement for some. And in some cases, we’re providing that help to individuals who are simply making a pit stop between Mexico and Canada because it’s better for them there according to some. Frankly, we have enough issues that are swallowing us whole and need to focus on building up and caring for our own citizens and force stop mass migration, strongly enforce deportation as well as employing more case workers to help with legal immigration process. We spend all this money sending to Ukraine and yet here we are, cutting our own throats to save someone else’s hand. I have no issue with legal immigration and asylum but you need to go through the process like those before you. I know this is asking a lot but it IS possibly to make it work

Yeah that’s the reality…this country was taken, and it’s slowly creeping to a fallout. That’s what this nation gets…this soul was founded upon bad energy, and corrupt principles. You know what, I’m an immigrant too. I came to America in 1988 from a communist country to have a better life and have religious freedom. But it took us more than 5 years, if not more, to get approved and jump every hurdle, every flaming hoop, and else they asked us to do, BUT, WE DID IT! Why do people think it’s ok to be able to come here illegally when others have to Jump through hoops to get here? And the stupid fucks who think they should be allowed to do that shit, should be made to put em up in THEIR HOMES AND NOT ON THE TAXPAYERS DOLLAR! Period point blank!!!! A country without rules will fall into anarchy. So many people do shit the right way, why do others think it’s ok to say fuck it and became a burden on the economy? Everywhere around the world, there are borders in place, and they’re there for a reason, to keep order, and to prevent illegal entry. Nobody’s saying not to come here, or that you’re not welcome or wanted here. But you have to do it the right way. Millions of people had to do it like that, by the books, the right way, you don’t get a free pass to come here illegally cause it’s hard, or it takes a long time. I live next to a drop off destination for Joe Biden's migrants. I would have to say they appear to be victims of the Democrat party, in that, like many other groups of people they have been lied to or given false hopes of success or prosperity. Their only relief comes from gathering at the park across the street to use the barbecues and tables, and share a meal. For some the meal leads to beer and drunkenness. I watched the police send five of them back to the garage since they were all in a car drinking, even an open alcohol container in CA is illegal. If I were one of them I would have been arrested, but these lucky Biden immigrants were simply told to walk away. I hope the police at least impounded the car. Ten o'clock on a Sunday morning, people jogging, people walking their dogs, unaware of Joe Biden's guys, ready to drive away in drunken bliss. Thank you Joe. I am not against immigration but the fact of the matter is this in this country aren’t going well even for its own citizens. Homelessness is up, inflation is up, unemployment, gas and groceries are up. The average American has to make a choice every month wether they get to feed their family or catch up on bills. We need to improve our infrastructure some cities are literally falling to pieces. We need to fix our country just like these folks need to do to their home country, running from the problem won’t fix it.

One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

I always thought Trump was being dumb when he said, “they don’t send their best ppl” until I moved to Mexico and cross Paso del Norte once a month. Every month I take a bus up to Juarez and I ride with these migrants, and let me tell you something… they’re not all women and children. About 60-70% are young LITERAL thugs. I almost got jumped by a group of four of them when I arrived to the Juarez bus station for the first time. Mexicans are tired of these ppl as well, don’t get it twisted. 90% of Mexicans I’ve talked to don’t want them in their towns bc they say that since they’ve arrived muggings, burglary’s, and r@pes have severely gone up. In the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s most of the migrants were just ppl who wanted to work, these ppl that I’ve met time and time again talk like the US owes them and has to let them in. It’s crazy. Force their governments to change economically to sustain themselves for their interests. There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. But if the war continues to be and the immigrants will continue to come. Who knows today the war is in DRC Congo, Somalia etc. But tomorrow it will be to another country, the Ukrainians people they was don't know if one they can flight or running away from them country to be a refugees to another country but today they are everywhere like congolais people is because of war and the didn't expecting it to be but because of situations that is going on the have to look for protection. Big power country you have to stop bringing the war to another country because that it would make everyone to stay safe to them country please this is not fair, people are passing in lots of things to arrive here in Canada or United states is no easy to be to destination so many many people are dead on the ways to come to Canada and United states and the dead bodies are just lifted it on the desert etc. Canada is first country in the world to have love to one another to know value of human being and to respect others I hope you will continue to have the same good hearts Canadian people are having and all things we committed in the hands of God ???? . They should be picking up garbage and doing every menial task we have to offer oppose to living like they deserve better than actual citizens who have to pay taxes to support them.

If there's one thing Canadians hate its que jumping. If you want to immigrate here that's cool, we don't care where you're from...but get in line like every one else.

I don’t believe every person crossing feels unsafe, most likely more than 60% are trying to take advantage of easy way in.. seems to be the pattern when these kinds of people come over, they start trying to pull off things that work in other countries… unfortunately many start taking advantage of the system and before you know it the country has to create new laws for everyone to follow
