I truly believe this all revolves around the housing crisis. Not enough housing can be built. Canadians with options are not taking low-income jobs. It's not a survivable wage anymore. Canada's #1 GDP is Real Estate. Potential first-time home buyers are not willing to throw themselves into a lifetime debt for a weak economy. \n\nSo what does Canada do? Fill these vacancies with immigrants. Not inherently wrong, but it's a band-aid solution to temporarily pump up the numbers. \n\nImmigrants, specifically refugees are taking low-income jobs. Speak Arabic? You can easily fill your job positions for minimum wage. Just like mafia tactics in third-world countries, the government takes their passports away and they must fulfill their duties at a very low wage and very high cost of living under threat of being thrown back into a potentially war-torn country. Came to Canada as a Dentist? Doesn't matter, you need to climb the ladder again and in the meantime work as a Receptionist making minimum wage.\n\nImmigrants with money are obligated to prove themselves. Buy housing, start a business. Numerous cities such as Brampton are being filled with slums. Housing a double digit of residents in the basement at absurd costs so the landlords can afford their ridiculous mortgages and lifestyle off the back of other immigrants/refugees.\n\nThe main issue is the hate directed towards immigrants. First of all, in the video it was disgusting for the man to acknowledge that someone was wearing good clothes and asking where the refugee center is. Someone can be a refugee and still have money. I’m surprised you never saw me. I’m homeless in a shelter and I hate this city.. well I hate all the cities like this. The people are heartless and sacred. The homeless are high and sad… I wander the streets like all day every day. When I have money I try to help the street people. Or I end up smoking weed on occasion. But there’s a lot of garbage and garbage people out there. I’m basically the rat king. I wander round doing anything I can. I’m pretty crazy tho I have bpd and doctors don’t really help anyone. I just live in the shelter and during the day I wander the streets trying to learn the city and help people. Sometimes I’m rude and angry and insane due to the state of the city and all I’ve seen. You don't normally rent a $2600 2-Bedroom Apartment on your own in Toronto. You share and split. Despite that, and 2 people making each $50,000 a year - tax, it is a bit hard to make ends meet. You need money to enjoy life, just like in those crazy expensive American cities. And you shouldn't be spending more than 40% of your income on rent. There are ways of saving but buying a home in Toronto is unaffoardable. Better think of Kingston, Ottawa, Brockville... where it is way cheaper with some good paying jobs sometimes depending what your field of expertise is.

There is no open market like many countries which are backed by government to buy goods in reasonable price for low income people. Very restricted laws for driver license. Life in Canada is far from normal kills you or make you disable for life without getting you paid. Now I disabled for couple of years and I'm outside of Canada and just my family saved my life because I couldn't work because of disability due to spoof call attack which cause severe peripheral neuropathy. Even there is no any protocol for this illness to get cured and forced me to see many MDs and cost me lots of money. First of all you took 3 years to do this extremely limited investigation that doesn't even begin scratch the surface. Your interviews are selective and show only a certain problems. If you truly investigated, you would have looked at government programs at ALL LEVELS of government. The rules and restrictions that are applied like, healthcare, CPP, Disabilities both mental and physical, welfare, and the host of other programs that for most part create and maintain poverty and are nothing more that government fraud and covered up at all government levels. As a one time homeless and then advocate for homelessness, I can tell you first hand that money destined for these programs is often gobbled up by faux do goods who actually pocket this funds for themselves.

Actually it is really simple, the main reason that educational institutes (businesses in reality) and the country have been bringing in international students (whether India or elsewhere) is that *the international students pay 4-5x more in tuition* and so *educational institutes and the country wants to bring them in as cash cows, to milk them for the money!* *They have been using them as cash cows and milking them* There are so many institutes where there is such an imbalance, where 80-90% are international students and the local minority, the reason again is, $$. \n From international students and imgs there is a boost in the economy because of the high tuition they pay and the tax that is collected from that tuition, they spend on rent (crazy expensive as you know) transport, basic cost of living like food etc, entertainment etc, so the economy did benefit from immigrants and international students, but I completely agree that there is way too much influx. It is not good for them nor for the country, as everything has become so expensive, rent and housing affordability is gone crazy, due to crazy demand and low supply. \n So the problem is greed! I totally agree with True North's the Timz example, and the other places mentioned, and I really think that the government should work on affordability, the housing crisis, health care, sustainability, and fair and equal employment.

I am 59, white Canadian born, self employed, no employees, and in the Toronto area. I can't hire an employee, the skills are just not there. What I do requires a high level of technical skill across a wide range of technologies. Also good verbal and interpersonal skills. I also feel like I can't trust most of who might apply, based on previous experiences. Morals and ethics are simply not visible. And now I can't retire and move back to my hicksville hometown as house prices have gotten to the point where it would be stupid to buy something, it's not possible to make those kinds of mortgage payments. Like me, I already want to move back. Canada was overglamorized. I think I'm just gonna finish my post grad work permit and move back home. At least there, housing is still within my reach. It's rare people doesn't own homes. You can grow food in your backyard. Can live without debt in any way if you choose as we dont rely in mortgages and credit cards or credit scores.\n\nCanada is good in pictures, but not totally in real life. That sounds very insincere!! \nYou probably have never been to an emergency, like NYGH, where instead of the nursing staff, they have there trained jail and security guards to deal with sick people. In the past 2 years - I have spent 3 months in Toronto, and last year, 3 months in Montreal...and it is like the Tale of Two Cities! In Toronto, I stayed at a friend's off the park that abuts Queens St, and Dundas St. on the far side. I barely got a good night's sleep - from the constant wailing of Sirens at ALL Hours of the night/early morning! I witnessed several incidents of random violence - including on the trolly cars, and many of them involving homeless Indigenous people ...who were historically shit-on by Canada! In comparison to US Cities - Toronto minded me of problem-plagued SF, Seattle, and Portland. The Density factor reminded me of NYC, minus the Positive Street savvy that New Yorkers have in spades! I did meet some very nice people, but overall - Torontonians were uptight, concerned about money all the time, and sometimes - just downright rude! Fast-Forward to Montreal. I stayed in Le Plateau...renting a room for 3 months. Lovely House-mates - One Turkish/Polish Woman, and an Iranian Man - both were quirky, and Delightful! My rent was very decent, and my Host showed me all the affordable places to eat, swim for free, free Yoga in the parks...within 2 days, I felt at Home! It was 3 days before I even noticed a siren! Drivers stoped for pedestrians, and as it was summer - the bike-lanes were full of bike riders! The Green Spaces were plentiful, and Parc Mount Royal is a Terrestrial Paradise! Were there some social issues? - of Course! French being the official language, the Quebecois are a VERY Proud, and defiant lot! That was difficult at first, and then...learning some history of Quebec, you begin to understand their irascible defenses! There was some homelessness (a Fraction of what I see in the US, and Toronto!), and prices are creeping-up (the common complaint!), and there was a lot of construction, and road repairs - as Quebec is NOT a wealthy part of Canada, overall. In short - I miss Montreal DEEPLY! Toronto? - I have a good friend there, and I hope to see a few of the folks I met there, Again. Travel Impressions are mainly subjective, but I know where my heart, and affection lie!

Imma be honest I’m not surprised u moved to Canada Asians for the most part are always unaware about what goes on with the economies of the world unless u get your information from the news??.I mean seriously people it’s time to wake up in 2024 of course Canada isn’t a great country it hasn’t been in over 40 years same as my home country here in the USA where more Asians and Indians and Mexicans keep coming here but they will also learn the hard way about America ??.And don’t worry about it what they saying in the news it’s all garbage ?️ the problems in America and Canada including the u.k are server understated part of this is because these are developed countries with everything being so developed why would there be any problems I have talked to many Asians from Thailand and the Philippines ??.They literally told me they see USA as paradise like what the hell honestly because we have streets and expressways everywhere that’s exactly the problem and no agriculture no farming all warehouses and big retailers and no small businesses.All government shitty jobs paying average money we have some of the dirtiest and worst public transportation in the world it is so slow with constant delays and only go through major cities they will never fully extend it out into other areas.Condemning walking and by cycling is freaking insane to me making things more spread out instead of walkable.Allowing the cost of living and inflation to go up while keeping wages the same so your own citizens will get priced out of their own economy to allow foreigners to come in so u can get away with paying them less way to go America,Canada and the u.k.And don’t get me started with all of this dam regulations and laws being made surrounding everything my good ness man I’m so glad I’m leaving America all of these western countries are a hot piece of garbage.

Its very difficult to get a 'good' job and even if you do it can barely afford a tiny apartment so you basically just exist to prop up real estate speculators, the banks and big retailers. You will not build wealth or have a family. If you don't like it there are a billion people waiting for their turn.

The homes are crazy expensive. Just start from million The healthcare is not good if something were to happen to you . Hav e to be waiting in the emergency over night I slips on ice went to the emergency went there at 6:00 for looked at 9:00 waited 4 hrs to get look d at. 3 generation Canadians have it good there parents came in the 90s houses weren’t so expensive then . Know it’s really hard with inflation so high if you don’t have a good job it will be a struggle. Indian students come to Canada thinking just working on cash will be enough ?it will not . Mass immigration is a problem to many people less houses . Canada likes to say they welcome immigrants but truthfully they dont. And high taxes, truth fully you work all your life just to sure and pay taxes …….

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.
