It’s funny a lot of people are leaving there homeland, and even when they get a good education they never return to help their homeland. Also you complain about the healthcare yet in African countries have the worst healthcare at least you can wait for healthcare while Africa don’t have any proper health care you die waiting. Another thing is that there is racism in every country even between light skin and dark skin African there is racism. Another is that if you go to any other country in the world you still need certification from them. What you all are talking about happens in every country. Lastly I don’t think no one is forcing you to stay in their country.

I just laughed hard when they said will not go back home. I’m sure they’re still new to Canada that’s why but I promised after 10 yrs their answer will changed completely. Every newcomers to Canada say the same, then you realize after few years things changes completely.

I grew up in Canada and never had any issues either with health care or going to school i didn't mind the weather as i love to ski and play hockey i rather be cold than hot to each its own i wouldnt give up Canada for the us no time the dollar might be a little stronger and i got my tax returned to me every year plus wheni bought medication with cash i got my money back I Love Canada the cleanest country i know....

Please be informed that ALL Western countries and similar societies follow a particular model, so if anyone has lead you to believe that the US is a better place to live than Canada, that is a lie! The very same issues you've mentioned in Canada are probably doubled in the US. People are overworked, underpaid and lately blatantly disrespected particularly people of color. Furthermore, ageism is a theme in the US people are very often let go without notice or provocation and unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to maintain a descent standard of living if you fall prey to this. So, don't believe the hype as a citizen who was born, raised and educated in the US in my opinion melinated people should return to their places of origin and help to sustain their country. This in turn, will help to maintain your culture and the standards of living in which you are used to. If you don't believe me you should check out videos of the high rates of homelessness and crime in nearly every major city in the US!

Great video..I agree with everything with 3 exceptions.. \n1- They is a lot, lots lots of millionnaires and billionaires in Canada.\n2- Concerning the health system, if you have money, you do have the options to go to a privat clinic, for either consultation or surgery ( it's one of the reason why, they are short of staff in the public hospital ).\n3- The boring part??? I don't know exactly where you live. Like every big country, they is more boring and less boring States. Well, I live in Sweden and I bet we pay more income tax than you do in Canada, some of the taxes goes to health care, unemployment benefits, and your retirement benefits, Every welfare state is expensive, You may get more pay in USA but if you ever get hospitalised, you're in for a rude awakening, you should check, there are many immigrants here in Sweden as well and the weather is pretty much the same as in Canada. We get at least 4 weeks vacation here in Sweden. I'm from ?? and it's natural that after working many years abroad, many choose to go back to their country of origin at some stage, me I go back home to Jamaica ?? as much as I can but still prefer to live in Sweden, I never mind the winter months, I can always travel to a warmer country and continue to enjoy life. The bottom line is that it's your choice what you want to do with your life.

Bad things about Saskatchewan:\n-A LOT of snow, A LOT\n- negative 30c is the norm in winter, summer usually plus 25c (It's COLD)\n-housing prices aren't as cheap as the video says... sure you can buy a place for $280,000 :) ...an apartment. \nA new family house made in 2012 costs $550,000, an old one made in 1980 costs $330,000.\n- Not a lot of bang for your buck. Yes, there are jobs in the major cities but the pay isn't so great unless you are a nurse or work in health care. (Best province for upcoming nurses btw) Minimum wage for the win! \n-As I said previously, minimum wage for the win! There are jobs but you don't get paid enough to live without a roommate or almost be constantly broke.\n-Rent is okay. If you DO manage to get a decent paying job, like a teacher, plumber, doctor, etc, rent is cheap.\n-Expensive retirement. Thinking the healthcare is great for seniors? It is. But, get ready to give every last penny to your senior home. A neighbour got a quote from a local seniors home for him and his wife, $65,000 per year (MINIMUM) for the 2 of them. That's how much the old folks home costed.\n-You need a car. If you want to visit outside the major cities, you need a car. In the cities you can survive traffick by bus, but it is better with a car.\n-You can't see northern lights a lot. Not from the cities. You have to go north, north, north, out in the middle of nowhere.\n\nGood things about Saskatchewan: \n-No cougars. Bears and wolves live here, mainly in the north.\n-People are friendly. There isn't as much crime in the 2 major cities, Prince Albert does have a lot though just like the video said, so I'd steer clear of that place.\n-Great education. Good place to raise a family.\n-Great healthcare. Has most covered in universal healthcare I think out of every province. Seniors like to move to Saskatchewan for retirement. It's a great place to retire if you have the money to move.\n-Lots of local stuff to see. A lot of local shops, parks, camp grounds, etc.\n-Rent is cheap. It's cheaper than Vancouver or Toronto.\n-Food prices are alright. Not good, not bad, just okay. Even a poor single mother can buy some food I think.\n-Lots of land. There is lots of flat land here. Racism is only going to get worse because those who cry RACISM every step they take are abusing the term. Frankly i am tired of it, what about racism against white people that want to live in their native countries? We have all these immigrants of different culture and color come to our countries and try to turn it into the very country they fled from in search of better life. I was born in South Asia, studied and worked in uk for 5 years. Immigrated to canada and stayed for 8 years and am currently in Hong Kong for some family reasons over the last two years in covid. What I can tell is there is no place like canada in the whole world. It’s heaven on earth. I get it that you can earn a lot of money outside canada , but you cannot get peace of mind and tranquility as you would het in canada. I miss canada every day and would be going back soon.

It’s impossible for youngs to buy South of Nunavut if they don't have access to BANK OF DAD. \nI am 36 and managed to get a decent house for 291k in the montreal suburbs 3 years ago. \nIt took me and my wife 8 years of savings while renting an appartment to FINALLY get the MINIMUM down payment. \nAs soon as the pandemic started it was already impossible for others that did not buy in time. There was like 60 buyers for every seller. I was just lucky. \nThe current rate at which you can save VS the current rate at which houses go up ? As an Indian living in Australia , I can relate with every single word said here. Australia like most western countries, is good if you wish to make some money but not so good if you want to have an active social life. its cold and desolate most times of the year. Hardly any sun in the south eastern states. People keep to themselves and indoors most of the time. .Social life is almost non existent which can cause serious psychological issues., Depression being very common. Kids here develop serious mental issues right from a young age . If you are a single man its even worse. If you want happy healthy active social life, avoid going to western countries.

I've been living in Toronto my whole life and for me personally I wouldn't live anywhere else in Canada! I've been to Quebec a bunch of times but that's about it. Our Country tries to promote for Canadians to travel and explore our own country but it's stupid expensive. Why would I pay for a flight to BC when for the same price and time spent on an airplane just go to Europe! I go to Europe every year because it offers a million more things to explore. The other thing that sucks about Canada (though it's beautiful) it doesn't have a lot of major cities and the ones we do have are very scarcely separated. I love living here but if I had to recommend this country to a tourist, I'd say meh just go see the US because it has the same and more.

Ive lived in Canada for 51 years .there has always been a job for me in all the 4 western provinces when i have asked for work.You must be flexible and possibly travel long distances to work between cities.people are friendly and willing to help .Some friends i know go home every few years and visit their Dr.then. many others have only been to the eye Dr.and dentist .A good healthy life in the North and all the freedom one needs .Eat fish and wild meat and all the berries and mushrooms you can pick.Doctors have been available when needed.Things in Northern Canada are expensive! Everything! Plan everything you do as weather can be a problem unless you are prepared.Ive often thot of moving back home but after a visit each time i have felt that i did not have the freedom of space and the wiggle room to do as you please on your own property.Cheers!

I can’t say I agree with Quebec as number one, tax rates are huge when you factor in property taxes, car insurance, plus they have the most expensive gas, outside of NFLD. The people are mostly rude when it comes to those that cannot speak French (yes I’m unilingual English not by choice, my hearing is bad). In support of my opinion, I have travelled (camping) in every province and territory except the Yukon. I have met some amazing people kind, friendly helpful, sadly I cannot apply that to Quebec. I wish this would not be the case as there are many parts of the province I would love to go see.

As an older Canadian who was educated in Canada with a B.Ed. - then worked away from Canada for thirty of my forty years. There is no way to say that any country is the best one to live in; every country has strengths and weaknesses- that especially relate to your specific needs and wants. Coming back to the country of my citizenship was also extremely hard for me after working away for so many years. The way to do well anywhere in Canada, is to build up credibility/seniority at one job and stick with it. Whether you are university or self-educated- which is considered just as valuable in today's job market- you are going to face an uphill battle unless you are fairly established. Canada has a high level of unemployment and some sectors, have an overabundance of trained workers. When my Middle East friends tell me they would like to live and work in Canada, I give them the advice I would give anyone. First, think about your family or friends that you want to have around you in your daily life- that is number one. Nothing is more depressing than being alone. Weather is a big factor, but it can be tolerated if you are with your core family or friends. One hundred years ago when my ancestors fled war and revolution, they had no choice but to do their best to make a life in a very difficult climate (literally)- culturally and weather-wise. There are a number of refugees today that are in similar circumstances. They do their best to get past the difficulties for the sake of their children's futures. If you are not literally refugees, think hard about you choice to leave your core culture and people.

Oh this is how every Indian official gov workers behaves, at least 90% of them. While we don't know the full version here, I'll share mine.\nI've waited for hour outside the entrance door along with others where we don't have waiting chairs so had to sit on steps where people pass by even though we all came at the right time that was written on our papers. Then I had to wait about 3 more hours for my appointment chance and then they checked my docs and decided that I don't have two particular doc which isn't even that important these days, but he didn't say that at once, we got first doc and then he said I need another doc. so I had to wait for 3 more hours to get mine as (we had to go to school and get that doc) while all other people like those grandparents, job applicants and farmers got their passports and visas. *sighing*\nI still remember the attitude of that officer, It's like he was just there and I was just waiting his time, and he was just reminding me that his work time was about to be done and that he needs to go. \nI don't understand how the gov offices works, we have tons of population and of course tons of applications that needs to be done for work, yet the gov office working hours just 6-6.5 hours? I was raised in Brampton Ontario and when my family moved there from ?Nova Scotia there were a total of 20.000thousand people there and when I left there after my mother died I went west my brother stayed my father stayed for 10 more years then went back to NS and I went from BC to Edmonton To Prince Albert it would seem I go to every shit hole in Canada but when I left Brampton there were 3.8 million and when I went back to visit my father in N.S. and my brother in Brampton it was 6.8million and Pictou was the nicest Brampton sucked as the crime rate was crazy .When we were in EDENPARK DRIVE we were there first and the first Pakistani's moved in with the whole color scream hooked shoes with bells on the toes and robes we never seen be for and then finding out there child is named Happy that was different but when my father got a gas BBQ and he was cooking his first roast beef they were all out there cursing my father for cooking there sacred animal and he said dam right it is sacred that my f-ckin dinner.

Every Province and Territory have their Pros and Cons. Every Canadian should do their best to go see them for themselves. They may be pleasantly surprised.

A lot of these reasons apply to Canadian born people as well. Outside of doctors, basically every top Canadian born student I know has moved to the USA for jobs - myself included. There are large economic issues here and you can imagine if it is that bad for Canadian born people, it is going to be even harder for immigrants. \n\nIt's unfortunate and I wish the system would improve. Everytime I look at Canada I tell myself wow, what a beautiful country, but then I realized how depressing life is here in Canada. As an immigrant I have so many thing to be thankful for living in Canada,but also so many more things why I am planning to leave. Housing is unexplainablly expensive, cost of living is going too high for wags to catch up, drug problem visible in every city, mediocre jobs , unwilling government that has zero Desire to make this country grow to its full potential the list is endless. I will always love Canada, but life here isn't as good as it's portrayed to be. People just live so they can work so they can live to work again and can't even break even, many are too depressed and end up on drugs rising homelessness.

I have been to every province and territory in Canada country, are trying to paint a untruthful picture of Canada (yes I am Canadian). Halifax is hole that needs to be filled in, people are very unfriendly, high cost for everything. Vancouver is full of drug addicts and whores, terrible traffic, terribly high cost of living, rains a lot a. Vancouver is like California in the US, people go to make money and then get the hell out. Ottawa is nicer than Toronto, just a lot of over paid federal employees. Alberta should be number one. When I went to buy a laptop from bestbuy these guys were following me around asking the same question. And they would stand on the other side of the and stare at me I'm indian by the way and brown in color. Every store I go in this happens feels uncomfortable shopping.

Best Buy employees are always asking if you need anything. I wouldn’t say I’ve been profiled but every time I go to Best Buy there are at least 3 or more different people asking if I need help. I notice that they are trained to ask anyone if you need help. They don’t follow you around or nothing like that.

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.
