David needs to go back to Ukraine and help his country instead of delivering food.

And homegrown Canadian students have been getting the short end of the post-educational system for years - in a large part so Canadian universities can attract and pay for ‘big name’ academics who demand big salaries. It’s all about money and prestige and our students are at the bottom of that food chain. It’s a national disgrace.

I would respectfully point out that in my opinion the problem is that too many immigrants from one particular culture (in this case, Indians, but it's also the Chinese,) have been allowed in to settle almost entirely in one particular area of a city. In Ontario it's Brampton. In B.C. (where I live) it's Surrey. This stretches Canada's resources, having classrooms almost full of Indian kids who are learning English as a second language. For years we've had to put up with young Indian males street racing in their expensive cars on our cities late at night... to their mothers they are 'princes,' and they act like it and believe they can do exactly as they like. Then there's the issue of how many of their extended family members are also allowed in - resulting in way too many elderly Indians who don't speak a word of English and probably never will, so we have to provide translation services for them in our hospitals and govt. offices. The other issue I have a problem with is there's a tendency with Indians to 'skirt the rules.' There have been a few significant accidents on our highways caused by young Indian male drivers operating huge rigs which they are ill-equipped to drive, which seems to indicate they got their licences fraudulently. There's also been an increase in so-called 'honour killings' (e.g. MURDER!) as well as young girls being subjected to FGM (Female Genital Mutilation.) As an immigrant myself, born and raised in the UK, I'm used to living among Indians, and in fact have always really liked them (and especially their food, which definitely improved the British restaurant scene!) but it's time to limit the numbers. In the Ontario town I grew up in back in the 60's, most families had at least four children, most dads had factory jobs and most moms were stay at home moms. Most families owned modest three bedroom homes, kids played sports, had bicycles, food on the table and never felt poor. If you are under 30 today, the Canada you are in absolutely SUCKS by comparison. When I graduated high school in the mid 70's I could have got a factory job that paid 10k a year and bought a modest home for 20k. Now, in the same town, a person earning 100k needs about 800k to buy that same house. So, people under 30 are giving up on getting married, having children and buying homes. Canada, thanks to Justin Trudeau, is on its way to becoming a third world country, but without cheap food.

I'm Indo-Canadian, and I want you out to. It used to be quality immigrants from India. The US now is taking them all (top CEOs, entrepreneurs, researchers and scientists there are of Indian origin if they aren't Chinese). But in Canada we're opening the doors to the worst of India - Sikhs and Sikhism (fanatical bearded towel heads). You won't be happy here eating crap from food banks and living crammed in small flats. Just hearing about this unfortunate situation for Indians in some countries. I am German, based in Berlin. I love our turban wearing Sikh cycle couriers bringing food to the hungry. Recently saw a pedaling Indian girl, even. No probs whatsoever with these Indians here.They work, they study alonside, many are established in well paying IT jobs. Unlike some immigrant groups, Indians never create problems, do not depend on welfare, have decent manners and are smart in whatever occupation they choose. You are welcome to send us more of them! Lived in Canada 14 years, and now in Australia and I have to say Australia is way better. Its organized better, cleaner, safer, less homelessness, wages better, economy is stronger, betters stores and more food choices, coffee is better, and less fast food chains, the food is much better. That said, people are not patient on the roads.

Same in all Euroe. If you come to Europe illegally, you are welcomed, provided with food, shelter, there are programs to fit you into the society (which I am not saying is bad, but is someone doing something illegal). On the other hand, for a Doctor, that spent 8 years just university education, they put thousands of barriers and we just see the illegals already having an appartment paid by the government while we are making the line to pay for a medical license exam (that I needed to study 8 years to be able to apply for) and in german (that I needed to study another 2-3 years to learn + 1 year specific for medical german). I will not receive a free housing like they do and they will not look for giving me a job like they do.

in canada my rent has doubled in last 5 years. Food price has gone up 4x, gas price at all time highs, but min wage, or pay from jobs has not gone up at all. 5 years ago I was able to barely make a little bit of savings, but now, I spend all money on bills, and have nothing left over to save. I never eat out, go out, do any activities, I work and sleep and play video games, and no matter what I do, I just cannot save anything.\n\nI got really hard jobs like running gravel in a wheel barrel, and moving, and I get the same pay at these jobs as I did like 20 years ago.W ages ARE NOT going up at all but all bills are.

As a Canadian child (early 1970's) I collected money with my candy on Halloween for people in Bangladesh. We have food banks and shelters and assistance programs for those suffering misfortune and our society WAS designed around public sharable services and programs. When I was a teen, a Guianese immigrant co-worker told me Canadians are stupid for providing handouts to immigrants and he laughed at me for buying his house with my taxes. In recent years there has been an influx of new residents whose focus is how they can take advantage, what they can get for free and those who try to cheat the system and cheat others. The scams and cheating that sends thousands of Indian students to Canada for an education at a school that cant take them is the same kind of scams starting here. The fraudulent proofs of income banks were receiving for house purchases has resulted in an artificially inflated housing market. I just bought a house and my Canadian born Indian neighbors literally gated and locked me out of $6000 of my land, while we were on good terms, because the felt like it. We were a society built on honor, trust and respect and while I wouldn't say its all the fault of Indians, there are by no means a small percentage and its getting worse.

I’m Ukrainian, and I came to Canada in 2024 through the CUAET program. I work remotely for a U.S. company, but it feels impossible to survive here with my current salary. If I stay longer than six months, I’ll have to pay taxes, which would leave me struggling to afford rent and basic necessities like food. I’ve never seen bread and eggs as expensive as they are here, not even in Paris, one of the most tourist-visited cities in the world, where prices are much lower than in Canadian supermarkets. It doesn’t feel like Canada offers me protection—instead, it feels like a vacuum that’s draining all my savings. Before 2022, in Kyiv, I lived a far better life than the average Canadian today, with my own apartment, car, and the ability to travel wherever I wanted for vacations.\nSo I leave in October while I have some money yet. I was born and raised in New York City. But since it became sanctuary city, I don't call it home no more. And I don't have any plans if ever going back there to live. The Fifth Estate had a great piece on what is actually going on in India and how this people are being scammed. They think that they're talking to a recruiter for a college, when in reality, it's a travel agency. It's sick how Canadian colleges have exploited the weaknesses in the system, and the government has allowed this to happen for so long. And now, after 9 years of Trudeau, the Liberals and the NDPs are back peddling trying to repair the bridges that the helped build and break. They gave the impression that I or any other who had a concern with immigration might be possibly racist or xenophobic. Our government weaponized words to shut our voices down. No immigrant, especially those in India, should be scammed to such an extent that they are living in a country they've never been to before that is bleeding them dry. Developed countries of west are facing problems like low marriage rate , high divorce , low fertility rate , depression, loneliness leading to number of pet dogs equaling number of humans because they can’t tolerate living with spouse or other human beings … developed countries create 5 times more carbon emission per citizen and create twice of thrice the amount of waste compared to developing counties like India.. India grows its good 80% while Canada gets most food imported from USA Mexico and South America, buying lost of diesel for transport of these food. India won’t be able to have any land left if everyone become rich and builds biggest individual houses instead of affordable small apartments that are multi story building using less land.

I see more Chinese than Indians but for sure Canada became the first colony in America for India and China.
