Germany has good and bad sides. Racism, beauraucracy, are part of bad sides. After living as professional for more than 15 years. I am planning to leave by this year. They need skilled workers, but not so welcoming. Only a few are very much welcoming.

They pay less every day compare to other countries. Absurd taxes. Home crisis in big cities. Bad weather. No social life. Also social justice is broken basic workers earn more then skilled ones. No one welcoming you also. More than enough

Highly skilled workers are indeed needed, but really not welcomed as members of the society. Housing is insane, and the so much touted education is in shambles, with teacher shortages in schools and Kitas and a mindset still firmly placed in the 1960s.\n\nIt also surprises me that the medical system is so touted. After half a decade in this country, every single foreigner I've talked to has been mistreated, ignored or received the worst kind of service from the part of general doctors and hospitals alike. It is a disgrace.

Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

Tuition fees many times the Canadian students is welcome. Good business by colleges welcome. Good business by Canada airlines is welcome?..

Yeah, changes are good and welcome but way too little too late. Trudeau needed over a year of bad polling and hundreds of news articles on how his push for record immigration has ruined our housing market and driven down wages and productivity before he would actually take action. The comment section here is much more informative than the video. I, too, came to germany, got my degree here and realise how manipulative the system is. Its a cycle of sabotage, for you to give your most vital resources (time, money, energy and skills) to a country that will never make you truly feel welcome.

These western countries need immigrants to stay competitive with their peers. Now if Canada isn't able to keep up with this, it shows a systemic flaw in their governance. I'm puzzled by the constant negativity and sense of entitlement I've encountered. As an immigrant from the EU, I've lived in Germany for six years and have only experienced racism once, at a club entrance. Ironically, I faced more racism in my own country during elementary school. In contrast, I've never encountered any discrimination in my job, studies, or social interactions here. Germans from various backgrounds, including dorms, sports teams, and university, have welcomed me to their gatherings. I'm a person of color and speak imperfect German, yet I've been treated with kindness and respect.\n\nGermany has offered me free education and incredible opportunities in industry and research. While I'm not wealthy, my quality of life is significantly better than it was in my home country, with plenty of room for improvement. I'm grateful for these opportunities and willing to contribute to the community. My advice is simple: be thankful for what you have, try your best, and if you're not a good fit, consider moving elsewhere and express your gratitude. It's that straightforward.

The satisfaction to lengthen the legs of a person with short legs & to shorten the legs of a perfect runner are practiced on daily life. For instance, you can get divorced after a separation if 1 year. Even if you have a German passport, to get a visa for your new-wed wife/husband is almost impossible. You are required to bring multiple documents, e.g birth certificate. The births certificate is rejected after six months of waiting to get other documents. Really horrible embassies & local administration. Getting an appointment at the embassy is almost impossible. Nobody tells you point blankly, your spouse is not welcome in Germany.

I feel seen and heard after watching this video. Honestly, now I just want to move to the Netherlands ?\n What bothers me the most the lack of incentive to learn the language and the simultaneous judgement from people when you don't know the language. I'm disappointed by all those other problems that were pointed out but the language barrier is the biggest hurdle for me. I work for a multinational company, which means English is the language of choice there, and learning German means dedicating a lot of extra time to it, which I don't always have. \n\nExpats are expected to insert themselves in the culture, not be welcomed into it. And it's not just learning German, it's also not forgetting what you learned. You need to make extra effort to keep yourself in contact with the language and that is a bit tough as well. Do I watch Stromberg or The Office?

Immigration is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the contribution of the skilled newcomers plays a crucial role in the sustainability of the economy.
