All over the world for some simple reasons, countries are being ruined by it, huge levels no integration, anyone and everyone allowed in, more crime from small to big crimes. Cops treating people differently (soft touch on others) people been given everything while others arent given anythign when they work their entire life but someone just in given homes, phones, cars etc...

Never voted right but there's a kind of immigration that is happening now in the West that is simply tearing at the stability of things. Even here in Portugal, it's getting out of hand. If you flood countries with people from radically different cultures, with radically different habits.......eventually you are going to destroy what that country had going for it.\n\nWe gotta stop this. I wish I didn't believe this migration wasn't planned by powerful entities to do exactly what is doing - disrupting the social fabric...........but, unfortunately all these big movements (wokeism etc) are designed precisely to have us at each other's throats.

It's not racist when it's all the different Canadians from different cultural backgrounds agreeing on this. We only have a few large cities in our country. There is no infrastructure or housing to support this. Most of the country is very harsh to live in during the winter. It's hard to drive anywhere. Prices are skyrocketing, and criminals are flooding the streets.

Intentional destruction of Canadian Culture. Canada has NO responsibility to help the outsiders. No nation can afford MASS MIGRATION without destroying the lives of their own citizens. Governments now are evil. \n\nMonetary destruction will NOT end well. Inflation is due to mass currency printing. War is WASTE. \n\nIf people wish to help others, that can be done in their HOME COUNTRIES. That is better than mass migration especially with extreme cultural differences considered.

Typical media hack headline…..the majority of people are not against immigration, it is against the uncontrolled illegal migration of people into the country. There is a difference and the media seems eager to ignore that difference. Nobody seems to want to take control of our borders. Countries like Canada , the UK and even the U.S. will eventually be destroyed if nothing changes.

I feel for the Lebanese it has a big mixture of different religions and government is stealing their money.

All people have the right to practice their religion but when you move to a new country, you can’t expect that country to change everything for your religion you have to adapt you have to share you have to compromise, and this is the problem with some people not all in different religions not just Muslims There are many people in society that take their religion to the extreme and that’s the problem. I can’t believe that these two actually expect or assume there’s something wrong with Canada because there’s no daily five times alarm that their prayer should be practised in every city in Canada at least two people speak very good English. They’re obviously very intelligent but it boggles my mind why they think there’s something wrong with Canada because there isn’t an obvious Muslim environment all over Canada I don’t understand this

Because of what it brings culturally as in uk it’s like going back centuries arranged marriages honour killings totally different cultures yet they hate us but take our money and it drains us \nPerhaps you’ll have a few more true Brits soon as they have enough of life here. 40 to 50 hours a week? I work that in Australia as an Australian. Indian universities aren't necessarily recognised overseas. Even then I've worked with many as engineers and got uber rides from many just as an example. Different cultural system. I've never got that impression from the majority of other nationalities I've worked with. These are large surveys. \n\nEnd of the day when you have large immigration spikes without infrastructure it is doomed and you will get a lot of misplaced hatred towards immigrants as low to middle class locals rents/ house prices explode. Not to mention the low skilled jobs that immigrants will do cheaper. \n\nImmigration is a cheap way for developed countries to increase GDP. Its NOT Anti Immigration. Its the rise of unwanted people. totally different. A lot is out fault, Because if the potential immigrants were told, You need a skill, You need proof you can support yourself, If you commit ANY crime, your out. Plus you get Zero benefits, Till you pay UK Tax, for ten years, And even then No Dole payments, Most people would go with this. It's a simple numbers game, really. You can't have fewer jobs and housing than people and expect a different result.

Because multiculturalism is an experiment that is in many peoples opinion, not working. Country needs to be based on a strong community. That’s a very difficult to create when everybody thinks differently.

We r going down the same path in Australia. We've had a gut full of making our lives harder while bending over backwards to accommodate different people who then abuse it and run amok in gangs, assaulting and robbing people. All while a majority of the of the population get called racist.

Hi Abhu n Niku,\n\nI always love your fact based information. I wish you did more of surveys or interviews of Indian immigrants in Canada. Ideally different people from different states in India have different experiences in Canada. Plus previous qualifications, some students here do not even get up and go to college or university to attend lectures and we blame Canada for not giving them jobs. Blame Indian movies that show 2 extremely opposite sides of lifestyles of immigrants in Canada. Either as high profile business people as if they own the country or as poor labourers with 2 or more sharing a common room in a basement. Improve the perspective of people by improving the quality of movies based on immigration to western countries. You can find students who got job, car and house in Canada in 5 years and you can also see students who unfortunately couldn’t do so much. We cannot generalize things.

i think claiming asylum is very different than getting asylum, so they can claim but they still go through the process and if they are found not be eligible they are politely escorted home

The societies, culture (and indigenous peoples in Europe) are being swept aside in favour of these new settler groups, and people are sick of it. People have taken advantage of the West's open societies, generous welfare, and accommodations to different groups. But now the West is realizing that these people don't want to celebrate and join their society, they want to replace it with their own.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

This should not be right because why are we not OK? I understand different parts of the world has things I’m born Canadian as far as my family and millennia and Canada were third generation here in Canada with Caribbean European and American descent all that being said I don’t care how people comes to Canada ?? but we should get the best of the best and I feel like Since they have a job since I work with the airline, why can’t they just apply for a transfer? Why can’t they why everybody else has to have a passport to travel? Why can’t they? Why can’t they have a passport? As a 905 Canadian (Toronto suburb), I want to move to the USA just for the climate difference... Politically, people are regional. I loved visiting Florida just for the difference. Buffalo wasn't enough.

I know its anecdotal, but i feel like its probably the norm.\n\nI lived in Canada my whole life, i visited the states and lived there for a few months for a job.\n\nThe amount of violence, gun or otherwise, is night and day. In the U.S. you could have a gun pulled on you in a grocery strore, on the highway, in the park, at the bar...\n\nIn canada, you could walk an entire city, late at night, completely alone, and the odds of someone hurting you in anyway at all is like single digit %. In the U.S, you arent making it 2 blocks without trouble.\n\nIt is mind boggling how dangerous it feels to just be in the states then it does in Canada. Until you have experienced both, you just cant understand how wildly different just this 1 aspect is.

We really are heading backwards by failing to replenish a new system collaborating with different cultures to strive for innovation and development. the west has always been welcoming immigrants, be it to meet job demands, or asylum for refugees from less well to do countries, or even retirement. It is okay to let some/ quota for immigrants but i felt recently it has gotten so much it is affecting locals, in terms of property prices, cost of living and rental rates, all increasing due to more demand. plus, over tourism is also pushing out locals. the world is so different from 10 years ago. once immigrants settle, they will set root and apply for PR / citizenship because the standard of living is much higher than their original country. and when population increases, it's going to cause even more pain to the locals. meanwhile, the west is shifting to lower cost countries to live and retire, albeit at a slower rate.

The countries of European nations are being flooded with foreigners, overrunning these nations. Places like England, Germany, France, Netherlands, etc are ethnic wellsprings. Just like Japan, Korea, Vietnam, India, etc, etc. Flooding these wellsprings with other ethnic groups dissolves the ethnic groups (the nations) of those countries. England should be for the English, Japan for the Japanese, Germany for the Germans, etc. If the ruling regime actually cared about respecting different ethnicities/cultures and their existence, if they cared about actual diversity, they'd be opposed to immigration. But instead they are destroying European nations - and places like Japan and South Korea are also in the early stages of this. It's evil. \nAnd as for why Canadians are getting upset is because the ethnic compositions of Canada are changing so fast. So fast. It is becoming like a different country. Why are they doing this to us? It would feel more comfortable if the homelands of European nations were not under this same existential threat, but they are. It's alarming. This is horrific.

I love immigrants, they're what make our country so special all the different cultures coming together. The problem right now is because of terrible government mismanagement we don't have enough housing or jobs for everyone already here. That's my only reason for wanting to pause immigration. It's like being on a life raft that's already full, you can't take more even if you want to.

The tenancy board is allowing this knowingly. Why do home owners have to follow different rules than the banks. If home owner doesn’t pay his mortgage, the bank will take his house in no time. The tenancy board does this to immigrant home owners more than to anybody else. They are forcing people to take law into their own hands.

Most people in Canada do like immigrants and try and want to accept newcomers . I am happy to see new faces younger people, people with a different outlook. However this lack of housing is a major problem for poor and lower middle class people - citizens and noncitizens. Unfortunately rents are a racket in most cities, the real estate business is full of unnumbered accounts and money laundering; Canada is full of organized crime from all over the world, we cant control foreign attempts at killing our citizen. So we can tell our government is not efficient and is doing a poor jobHowever I dont think the average immigrant is the problem and I feel they are treated like rubes by our government and taken advantage of and so are Canadians of different ethnic backgrounds who also suffer the same problems of many immigrants. That's the truth. Letting people in with out providing opportunities for jobs, housing, support is foolish and destructive to our country. Our politicians are selling us down the drain-i.e. all those who are not in the upper middle class or the elites. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!! VOTE FOR CHANGE !

My parents immiagrated here like 30 years ago and made sure to live in a community with different ethnic groups so they could adapt and learn english and assimilate. No one that immigrates here does that anymore. Im canadian born and i want to leave this country for good. There is nothing here for me.
