We have enough people immigrating here legally. He was telling me his family of five all in with a free housing voucher, food voucher, smart phone voucher, electricity voucher, transportation allowance, 100% total coverage for much needed dental care, the best of all they receive a gargantuan $7400 a month in cash benefit allowance for the entire family. Although it’s kind of sad that my friendly neighbor, Mr. Lu Juan Jesus Garcia-Mendoza briefly states every single time I see him as always kind of rubbing it in, that he sends back $5,000* every month to his other wife and kids? ????

This is a major problem. This shouldn’t be happening. What’s so dam wrong with their own country that they have to rush in to this one like that. America needs to hold their own government accountable. Sanction them. Cut off aid from them. Instead of pushing gay rights and lgbtq into other countries. You know what, I’m an immigrant too. I came to America in 1988 from a communist country to have a better life and have religious freedom. But it took us more than 5 years, if not more, to get approved and jump every hurdle, every flaming hoop, and else they asked us to do, BUT, WE DID IT! Why do people think it’s ok to be able to come here illegally when others have to Jump through hoops to get here? And the stupid fucks who think they should be allowed to do that shit, should be made to put em up in THEIR HOMES AND NOT ON THE TAXPAYERS DOLLAR! Period point blank!!!! A country without rules will fall into anarchy. So many people do shit the right way, why do others think it’s ok to say fuck it and became a burden on the economy? Everywhere around the world, there are borders in place, and they’re there for a reason, to keep order, and to prevent illegal entry. Nobody’s saying not to come here, or that you’re not welcome or wanted here. But you have to do it the right way. Millions of people had to do it like that, by the books, the right way, you don’t get a free pass to come here illegally cause it’s hard, or it takes a long time. My parents came illegally but became citizens thru the amnesty from Bill Epstein i mean Clinton, i was born here in California, even though i love my Mexican heritage i still think this is wrong, we need more border control but we also need to be able to make it easier for the good people to come here legally. As a teen right now that has immigrant parents all I can say this is not what I expected from immigrants I know that they want freedom and a better life but this not what they should’ve done to get into America yes I know they struggle but you just can’t force yourself into getting what you want this is just wrong but I do wish the best for these people to be able to hopefully achieve a better future for themselves

This makes me mad because other than the true American Indians we are all immigrants from generations back. Can we afford everyone no but do we or have we a right to do this no. I don't have the answers for how to help them but I don't think this is the best way. Have them line up in several lines and if they are not criminals from there home then we should tell them that we have no work or much food and they will be what we call homeless but let's not forget that we haven't always lived in houses with running water and electricity and cooked outside. I'm homeless, Navy Veteran and work full time. If housing programs can't help homeless Americans, how can we help immigrants. I want a home too. Update: I'll elaborate more on my situation. I served for four years. I lost my job as an Uber driver in 2018 after my car got repossessed. I live with my fiance who has PTSD from her family upbringing. She tries to work but she doesn't last long. We have gone to 3 different housing programs and they prove to be unhelpful. You make too much money from working they can't help you, if you make too little money they can't help you. WTF!!! All housing that is offered is usually in areas that are in high theft and homeless areas. People steal from you and you up right back in the streets. One program helped me become a fully trained security guard. We have also been in two car accidents, none were our fault. But now I'm stuck just living in a car and working full time. After I work all night I drive around at gas stations, asking people for money for gas and food. Every check I get goes to gas, food and bills. We manage our money wisely. Our money last a day and then we have to go straight back to asking for money again. Everyone I have asked for help is always a broken promise. I don't know what to do anymore.

This should have been done from the beginning, those supposed asylum seekers are put in hotels at our tax dollars. There is NOT enough housing for those who have legally come in.\n\nWhy should these border jumpers skip the immigration line. Want to come to Canada do it thr right way. This isn't a free for all.

Everyone just resorts to basically saying they should all be kicked out!! Why can’t we find a solution? I just don’t get why this is such a controversial issue! Wow. I have a degree and couldnt get in. These immigrants couldnt fix their own countries now they comming to fix yours. Haiti. Venezuela. Afganistan. Somalia. High quality immigration right there. Hiw do you think this is going to play out.

Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

My best friend started her immigration process in 2017. She was finally green lit to come to America in 2019 after marrying her long time husband over in Europe and then getting the paperwork done here in the US during that time Covid hit, and when they closed all the borders, they stopped all of the immigration process to America meaning that she was stuck in Europe away from her husband for three years. Finally last year after making her go back through the process getting all of her paperwork re-done, paying another $5000 she was able to come to the US just last month she got the start of her paperwork for her green card to work here in the US and become a full US citizen. It’s been a long process. It infuriates me that people like that who are honest, hard-working people who want to come to the US and start a life after being married, proven to have jobs and want to pay taxes and support a system. That’s willing to take them in get held up because of people like this want to come here illegally Big cause of whatever the reasons are trying to circumvent and skip over the people who are trying their hardest to do it the right way in the first place, dust dragging the system further down.

As a legal immigrant and now a US citizen, this really pisses me off!!! Why did I have to wait and pay to do it the legal way if all I had to do this act like a child and demand things.
