I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. So please do us a favor and if war breaks out where you are going to, please do not ask the Canadian people and government (like so many islamic homesick have in the past) to rescue you at the monetary expense and potential risk to our Canadian men and womens lives- that would be so insulting not to mention hypocritical and Canadians take note of such things and they don't forget. I want to live in a little in a diverse community. My neighborhood in Scarborough is 90% Indian or Middle Eastern. When you have so many people of one ethnic group they do not assimilate but form a mini ghetto town They were telling us what to wear and what to learn. Secondly, Canada is full of vagrancy. For people commenting about house helps and maids being available in India, is it a healthy thing? The reason even middle class in india boasts about maids is the overpopulation of unskilled people and no minimum wages act that prevents exploitation of those house maids. Let government fix a minimum wage of 25000 for a full time maid and then see how many of us are able to afford them?

I'm new to your channel, but you seem good people, and it's your full right to protect your kids from a school system that brainwashes children with the gender theory. The West is going down a road that many of us don't like, and moving is a recurring thought. As a Christian who has travelled extensively and also in Muslim countries, I can witness that I have always been very welcome, but I know that fitting in as an immigrant is difficult, if you don't have a family there. Well, as a person who grew up in a Muslim community, I respect your view but I disagree with Azan being loudly heard. I just hate it. It is like a noise interrupting in the daily life. I believe there are apps that play it and you can use them. As for Palestine, sure Canada is on the wrong side but the UAE is the same, they recently normalized the relations, Saudi Arabia said just two days ago they are willing to do so, and most European countries are similar. I’ve travelled to other parts of the world and completely understand that Toronto (and for that fact, Canada) is in a declining position, especially when compared to many emerging countries. Toronto and Canada claim to be inclusive and diverse. I know many gay men who have been beaten up on the TTC. One buddy was beaten to a pulp, and no one helped him. Yeah job security is an important factor I think those of us who are in IT and have been 'sacked' as someone here in another comment mentioned feel the brunt when you know that Canadian companies are looking elsewhere for cheaper labor. I think it's after something like this happens when you really think about things such as Unions and the seemingly open door to qualified immigrants who would take a lower paid job just to get a foot in the door. It was nice watching your video. You asked for a suggestion. In your case, I think the best place for you to settle down would be Turkey. \nThe main problem you will face there would be the language. I think that is a big problem initially, but it is easy to learn a language, before going to that country. Once you are there, it will be easy for you to pick it up, because you will be forced to use it every day. The rest of the points you raised will be resolved. The weather there is not as cold as it is in Canada. Most of the population are Muslims, so you will find the required atmosphere to practice your belief freely and safely without worries or fear. When it comes to people, they are friendly and nice in general. Remember wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people. This is life. \nThe 2nd choice would be US. They have various of mixed nations. Language will not be an obstical. But, there are many Muslims there. Some of the states have very big Muslim communities. I have lived in many different countries as a Muslim. I have found the perfect balance of Islam, freedom in my day to day life to do things, finding halal, masjids 10-15mins within where I live with programs for my kids and social/educational events. I homeschool my kids and the laws for it are very easy. I absolutely abhor the government though and your no. 1 reason would be mine to leave. However as I explore other options I don’t see options for Muslim country that is easy to naturalize into. \n\nI have joined groups to make future changes through congress and government and trying to learn how I can help with these efforts. I try to imagine what would happen if all the Muslims left these colonizing countries. Boy do they need us yet make us feel like we are powerless. I try to imagine well what if we unified more and kept working for change? While being able to live and practice e Islam how we want. Anyways. Just mumbling some of my own thoughts. This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. If you are not dying in your country, don't come here. People are stressed, angry, broken, and even if we keep making jokes ( that is how we are...) we are all worried about the future of Canada.

I like what she says about her grandchildren, in future years, may have to leave wherever they go now… alluding to the possibility (I believe) that perhaps there is no permanently perfect place… I can understand how they would appreciate living somewhere where the daily prayers are announced 5 times daily over loudspeaker. I often feel so very isolated in myself in MY way of life here in Canada (which doesn’t happen to be as a Muslim). After all, we are the “cultural melting pot,” and so many people of different cultures have come here and tried to make a life work for them. Canada is seen as “a land of dreams” by many, but it depends on what our dreams are, for real. For instance, what were many immigrants hoping for when they fled Europe after World War II? This family is telling us what they dream for their family, and Canada is not a good fit for what they value.

Canada is suffering because of bad leadership. The government is unable to step in in housing, because that would mean lowering the global value of it. Unable to step in in services, because it is stuck with unions that support laziness instead of competences and performances. Unable to step in in anything because it is controled by a literal mafia that totally surrounded the government and pull the strings of every ministers who are no longer there for the people they represent, but afraid of being killed by those mafiosies. \n\n So the honest worker is mostly doing 32k a year with charges that are about 30k a year. That means most people are going paycheck to paycheck, unable to afford savings, nor think about retirement. Unable to afford to improved their housing situation, paying rent that is so high that it should be consider a crime. \n\nIn fact, i predict many landlord will be killed in the coming years, by people losing their mind, because of incredible amount of stress they are suffering from. You think i am joking? Just the last 2 days, 2 woman lost their life because of being beaten to death by their husband... \n\nThis country is failing and failing fast because it doesn't take care of its population anymore... it is a doom country and immigration was the nail in the coffin. The system is unable to sustain such a demand. The next year is gonna see an incredible rise in criminality, and i foresee mass murdering events, like there was in the US.

We are leaving Germany too. With 4 minor kids. Especially after their complicity in Palestine. These countries will never ever care for us and our families. I hope many more will follow our steps inshaAllah.

You tend to get high taxes in places with free health care. Many use Canada as a bridge country to the US. In the US health care is very expensive. Many companies you would work for offer free health care plans for single individuals ( if you have a family it costs a lot ) but those plans have such high deductibles and co-pays that you can't afford to use it. Most US health care plans have very high deductibles ad co-pays making it extremely expensive. Then when you retire and start getting social security which is not much money by the way, you also get Medicare which also has a monthly charge around $150 mth. It doesn't cover everything. It does not cover dental or vision. It does not cover all your hospital stay which tends to occur as you get older. Most Americans end up having to sell their homes that they spent a lifetime paying off, to pay medical bills and end up on Medicaid which is the free last resort medical care and end up in a nursing home to end your days. Most nursing homes are bad. You end up in a 2 person room, in diapers, up for meals and back to bed, diaper changed 2 times per shift and one shower per week done by whomever in the communal shower room. Shelves until you die, which many do very quickly out of despair. After working your whole life that is the prize folks in the US.

Im 58 from the philippines. In the 80s a lot of my friends immigrated to the us, canada, and other european countries. 30 yrs later after holding many jobs and getting laid off many times they never progressed beyond basic paycheck to paycheck existence. Many of them returned broken and broke. Whereas those who stayed in the philippined progressed in their careers and professions and became top people. Best decision of my life NOT to immigrate.

May Allah makes it easy for you. As far as Palestine and genocide in Gaza, I'm afraid even some or many Muslim countries are complicit too as they were complicit with war in Iraq, Syria...etc. May Allah guide us all and unite us. So, as painful as it is, I would think that through from that perspective in terms of choosing another country. No Republican president include Cheeto and the Republican congress has every passed or even tried to pass reasonable and humane immigration laws. Im a Canadian, currently living in Vancouver but I've lived in many countries and will expat again. What it boils down to is if you have a good professional job that pays well, quality of life here is fantastic (among the best). Great schools, clean, great for young kids, and unparalleled acces to the best nature in the world mintues from a world class city. But life gets difficult quick when you cant afford anything. All these other complaints are blown out of porpotion (politics, drugs, etc...) by many and mostly don't really impact most people. In my experience, most people really leave because of better pay in the US, or because Europe has more culture, or asia has many more contries to explore close, or has LATAM has better weather etc...

You explained this so well!! My partner and I moved to Canada 3 years ago just as we got approved for H1B. We had to chose between moving to CA or staying there in an uncertain limbo for 2 decades waiting for a greencard. You did a good job talking about the downsides of moving such as a lower salary and higher home prices. We bought a small townhouse for the price we could have paid in the US for a detached house. Many people I know in similar situations leave CA and move back to the US once they get their Canadian citizenship. However, I do think that there are many reasons to stay such as the political climate. The US has become very regressive banning abortions, making gun laws more lenient and it’s not as accepting when it comes to diversity and inclusion (be it POC community or Lgbtqia+) unless you live in a big city which is expensive. These are the reasons we chose to stay, especially if we have kids as school shootings are getting more and more common there.

I think that a lot of people who seem to hate Canada in this comment section are either from Toronto and Vancouver, the two most expensive cities in the country, but these two cities don't represent Canada as a whole. \n\nPersonally I live in a smaller city in Québec (Saguenay) and life quality is super good, there are a lot of job opportunities and housing is very cheap, and it is an amazing place for outdoor lovers\n\nI saw many comments saying that the US is cheaper than Canada... Those people simply don't compare what's comparable. If you compare Toronto with comparable cities in the US like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Toronto is in fact MUCH cheaper. If I compare my city with comparable cities in the US, well it turns out that Saguenay is much cheaper\n\nSo before wanting to move to another country, you can simply think about moving within Canada. If however you hate winter, then there's no reason to stay here ?

I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

Amidst so many events lately, Which are opening so many horizons for people, I also, but cant help myself realise a few very significant events unfolding in front of my eyes. \n\nWhilst listening to your reasons to move, I am realising that Allah (God) is aligning the world into two very distinct parts, right wing and the left wing. And it's taking place in every religion/ community. \n\nVery well be for the end of times, as many of us are currently realising.

What is missing is that many leave after getting Canadian citizenship. So it is a two edge sword...stay in Canada for the prized citizenship. I think those who leave with that are just using the system...short term pain, long term gain...also these issues about Canada are not new...anyone thinking the streets are paved with gold are not paying attention. Also much immigration is family reunification. Also, when one leaves were are they going to go...not the US these days...

Rising cost of living is a trend especially when inflation is high in North America, the government should be more proactive in increasing the housing supply and creating affordable housing. Canada immigration system is skill based but the country also needs blue collar workers to fill jobs needed in the economy. I read too many articles where doctors work in factories there. The last is job growth, the government needs to invest in infrastructure and create environment for business to come to the country. Yes, US has the same problems but the salaries are higher south of the border. The average Facebook employee receives 800K compensation yearly.

If you immigrate to Canada, you might wanna start picking a area or city that isn’t the most expensive ones in the nation, what would you expect, many of us fellow Canadians would never even dream of moving to Toronto in the first place. Yet immigrants for some strange reason expect to move to the largest areas and by far the most expensive and have a wonderful life there. Life doesn’t work that way Unfortunately.

Sadly city is declining. This is mainly due though to the poor federal government that wants to destroy Canadian society in its quest to stay in power. No thoughts on how to sustainably grow a country foster growth and development of the economy. Providing needed housing development and health care to match population growth. The chasing of woke attitudes obstructing the development of resource industries that could provide much economic wealth has led to destruction of our once great country and making us an international joke. We have turned our backs on once good allies as we now support many terrorist states and organizations. So sad to see the decline of what was one of the best nations on earth.

Many Filipino,indian,pakistani engineers, whom I knew, spent many thousand us dollars went to Canada with their families to improve their lives.but, when they arrived in Canada, they worked not as an engineer, but worked in a position below engineers, like skilled workers.so, salary is low,everything expensive. Almost ni savings and you feel racism.so, almost these engineers with their families went back to their native countries.their credentials accepted and worked as engineers with good savings.canadian government and most white Canadians think they are superhuman.so, I never think to go to canada.see the results, many Canadians homeless and the Canadian government doesn't care.if gov cares, where is the program for the homeless ?

Can’t help but see and feel the similarities between Muslim’s and Christian’s (conservatives). We are constantly vilified as well for following the Bible and not wanting our children to be around or taught perversions. Here in Michigan we have a pretty significant Muslim population and it was truly gratifying to see them coming together with the Christian’s to fight back against the indoctrination happening in our schools. Our media loves to call Christian’s all the “igot” and “acist” “obic” words, but they hold their tongues a lot better when Muslim’s are involved for fear of being seen as another type of “ascist”. lol I wish all of us (Christian, Muslim, Jewish) who follow a moral code as shown to us in our various Holy books could come together on this.
