Every would-be student who thinks Canada is a better country to live better think 500 times, not just twice. In 2024, if you moved to Canada, you will not only be living in poverty for decades. Stay away. 20, 30 years ago I would have said the opposite but not anymore. You will be met with the worst shock of your life that you won't be able to recover from unless you go home to your country of origin or consider other countries to study in or move to.

I've been homeless before too. Absolutely sickening how foreigners get special treatment in housing simply because it looks better globally. THEY CHOSE TO COME HERE! They should have done their research before coming. In a world where information is so easy to come by, its beyond irresponsible to move to a new country without doing research first. OUR PEOPLE are dying, and by coming here to leech off our homeless supports, you aren't helping yourself, or any of the millions who were here before you. As a former homeless person, in my opinion every single one of my friends who died because they couldn't get housing, the blood is on these peoples hands for exploiting our country

even my country is doing this mistake , you could have made around 1.4 k euro as a food delivery guy now because a of indians came here a lot of the people that worked those jobs quit and moved abroad again , and this indians make about 700 euros but they pleased because they have housing and food given so they sent all the money back wich is like 3 salaries there probably , this sort of imigration is not sustainable

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

If you move to an Islamic country, your daughters *won't* have the choice of wearing or not wearing a hijab. Depending on which country you choose, they may also not have the option to drive a car, reman single or have a profession. Also, I am not sure if there is an Islamic country that will allow them to keep their Canadian citizenship, giving them the option to return as adults if they so wish.

Please do your research before moving to Canada or re-locating to another province. The grass IS NOT always greener on the OTHER SIDE. Toronto is a VERY EXPENSIVE city to live in. Think of paying $2,500.00 per month for a one-bedroom apartment, or 1.5 million dollars to buy a home. Do your research! Windsor, Ontario continually has the highest unemployment rate in the country (Canada). This video is VERY misleading.

Recently India saw a trend of reverse migration across the world but majority are from Canada. Dear Canadian brothers and sisters please skilled yourself and your native population and take proper education and Training so that country setup in your land need not to outsource Skilled workforce from India.

I think Canada needs less commumism and more real canadian culture. When i moved in 3 years ago everything felt extremely artificial, confusing, and depressing. Like everyone was on the brink of going crazy. I am glad I came back to my country Italy.

I moved here 16 years a go (6 years in Calagary + 10 years in Toronto). I've witnessed the high and low of Canada, about 6 years ago, I already started seeing the dwindling quality of life. Limited job opportunities/security, deteriorating health care and public safety, skyrocketing rent/cost of living, and people are becoming less tolerant/welcoming. Of course the pandemic made it worse, and it exposed the social ills in the country. Still better than a developing country, but definitely not Canada I used to know and experience.

When you leave your country because you don't like its system. \nWhen you arrive in another country and you don't like its system, move to somewhere else. \nIt's stupid to ask that country to change to satisfy you.

This video and channel are ridiculous. If you look at literally all of the other videos this guy does, especially his popular ones, he talks negatively about EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY. And I’ll let you all in on a little secret- people only want to listen to BAD news. Why do you think news channels dominate television? Same reason why this guy has so many views on his pointless videos- because people love bad news. Of course every country has flaws that might even be to much for a person to want to move there- but when your entire YouTube channel is based on fear mongering- where is ANYONE supposed to want to move too? I think the best part about Canada that you can't find anywhere else is the people and the landscape. Everyone here is so friendly and willing to help their neighbor. I find when I travel, the world feels much colder than here. Unfortunately it's all these amazing people who are suffering to no fault of their own. I haven't been to a doctor since I moved to Quebec (Born and raised Albertan) and I think it's among the worst of the provinces in terms of healthcare and infrastructure and considering it's the highest taxes in all the provinces. Luckily in Quebec City though it's still very affordable (relative to the rest of the country) but the housing market is still getting expensive here very fast. in 2020 my friend bought an apartment for 300k and within 4 years it's easily almost doubled in value for no reason other than inflation in the market. I love this country but indeed things need to change

When a country is doing well, or a town etc, people goes there by themselves. It is not needed to convince people moving in.

Canada has issues and opportunities. You need to look into it before make the decision of moving to Canada. Sadly there are many people or businesses that only want to take advantage of young professionals or young students. The country is very expensive even for locals. The minimum wage is no enough to live comfortable and as a full time student you wont be able to work full time. So take your time and do an honest analysis weather if you have the money and spirit to come to Canada. It is a great country, but definitely it's NOT for everyone.

Western countries are on a downfall. Both rich and poor alike, but mostly poor, move to Western countries which the infrastructure cannot support for the growing population and diminishing resources. The new First World societies are probably going to be countries that are developing, but not outright destitute or in war. Of course media will ensure that you are blind to the outside world to prevent you from leaving. They will feed you only what they want you to see or believe. I live in Nova Scotia and most of our population is practically now Indian population it was never like that say 8 years ago,im fine with anyone from any country living here for sure but it must not be bad for them because they have moved here in droves,practically every business is filled with indians all working in them and including where i work,ill tell ya there dedicated workers and work hard and i get it they need the hours to get there Canadian citizenship?So is there a long time perk of being indian and moving to Canada,Nova Scotia perhaps that i dont know about?Because us Canadians that have lived here all there lives are definitely not getting any perks or barebones living for godsake.

Healthcare costs spending in Euro counties isn’t a fair comparison because it ignores the nature of the geography. Canada is the 2nd largest country on earth by land area and much of the country is made of smaller, remote regions where it is beyond expensive to render heath care services onto the population. There isn’t a single Euro country with a population as spread out as Canada. I wish more people would move closer to urban centres so that it is cheaper to render services to them, but the fact is, you won’t find a single Euro country that deals with providing care to these extremely remote towns that make up so much of Canada. We have entire provinces that are mostly comprised of remote, hard to access towns. It’s just an unfortunate fact of the nature of where we live.

It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I moved in Canada 18years ago. I agree everything has gotten more expensive, but everywhere is the same. Gas is more expensive than in US, but way less than in Europe. Healthcare is not as good as in Europe, but way better than in US. We don’t have firearms in free possession for people that prevents us to have tens of mass murders every year. People are still nice in general. We are able to choose our immigration way more that European countries. In fact, if you don’t live in big centers, you can get away with lower housing costs. So yeah, the grass is always greener elsewhere, or is it ?

I feel like moving as a lifelong Canadian. I love people and love culture. I don't like extremists. \n\nMy problem is simply I don't our government is ethical nor caring to it's citizens, and as far as immigrants go, I am absolutely all for it with a reasonable rate without displacement or a negative sum on people that have built families here already. You can't just say we want to help and not give one thought about implications whatsoever. \n\nWhere I live you can't add thousands of people without thinking about making roards wider or more busses.\n\nWe don't look like idiots, we are. Let's welcome a host of new beautiful people into out country and not have a single plan in place besides pay for their housing (not necessarily bad), pay for their transportation (not necessarily bad), and allow a rent bubble to put our welcoming citizens with Trades to live in tents.\n\nHow about this as a sane alternative, the billions of dollars in road tax from gas prices which hasn't improved the roads, and the billions from legalized gambling...how about we audit our government and take a hard and difficult look as to where all this tax money goes, and more importantly the detailed justification? \n\nSame thing, same day. Canada has to be corrupt as the day is long OR our greatness was built on an history of lies. Dom, where are you from? Where are you moving to? What is your agenda? Are you a Canadian citizen? Where are all of the people, that you say are leaving, moving to? Where are they going that doesn’t have high interest rates? Which countries don’t have high inflation? Where has not been affected by the pandemic? Where are supply chains back to normal?

I came in Windsor Ontario as a foreign worker in 2009, wasn't the best time to look for a job there but still. I did 1 year of studying, worked again, left for Alberta in 2012 where I still am. Got my PR in 2014 and citizenship in 2022. Most of the things I hear against living in Canada must be true, I don't doubt it but I'm just not aware of them. I didn't even know there was a bank account freezing during COVID. It wasn't easy to get a good job, I had to leave for a small community in Alberta to get the most of what I wanted and that's why I am oblivious to the harsher reality that people have to endure in Toronto or Vancouver. But the thing is, as soon as I landed in Toronto and got robbed 50$ by some guy (this is just an anecdote not the real reason), I knew I shouldn't try to make a living there. I know job opportunities are in those big cities but please, if you can, there are great communities that need people, workers, consumers and families. If you can land a job there, move! At least try. It doesn't even have to be that far up north, nor to be a mini small village. Small city, rural living, no criminality, cheap housing, lots of space, family friendly, no traffic, no wait time to see a doctor, friendly people, douchebags, we have it here. Are they drawbacks? Yes of course. Need to drive 1 or 2 hour to get a scan or an MRI, car dependance is exacerbated but hey, it feels like a free country where no one have been overpriced...yet.

yep Canada is done. a lot of genderless people and genderless washrooms in schools, drugged up people from drug legalization, depressed individuals can now qualify for the recent legalization of assisted suicide, super cold place, jobs doesn't align with standard of living, crime is legalized like theft under $1000, college schooling are the same price as some housing mortgages, no one having kids because can't even afford down payment for housing on 2 incomes, Taxes up to 60%, and Lastly; a new law is being propped up and can send me to prison for life for causing harm if they get depressed and ended themself for seeing this comment. They have already moved from north of Gaza to the south most of the strip. Certainly not a perfect country and we definitely do have our struggles too, but we also have many good things and values. Hopefully u guys settle down well. I completely agree w this man. Ive worked my ass off for 30 yrs already & even w my private health insurance thru my FT job Its still gonna cost me between 12& 15 grand to get my teeth fixed. Its life threatening & caused by a bone disease that I have no control over but the Gov't wont help pay a damn cent. (Btw I drive 2hrs a day & sometimes sleep in my car overnight & shower at work cuz I cant afford the cost of gas to drive home every day.) \n@ 45 Ive been forced 2 deplete my retirement savings & move in w my Godparents cuz I can't afford rent anymore.\nI drive an 06 Honda Odyssey which is hangin by a thread & Im grateful AF for it.\nBoth my parents served in the military. I am a French Canadian born here, and I want to move out of this country. Everything about this country’s culture, education, health care, crime, agriculture, economy, literally everything is unrecognizable, and it’s happened all in like 8 years. Every single thing my grandfather fought for in WW2 is gone.

Quebec #1? You've got to be kidding! Great maybe if you are fluent, and I do mean fluent, in French. Otherwise you're treated like a second class citizen. As a tourist destination it is fabulous. The best food ever throughout the province. Old Quebec City by far the most beautiful in Canada and Montreal for the marvellous shopping experience. All fine for a fumbling in French tourist, but moving there and trying to get on in fractured high school French is a whole new and not so pleasant experience. I lived in the province for just under 2 years so my comments are based on that experience. After travelling the country extensively I settled in Northern Ontario to raise my family. Now retired I live in Canada's largest city Toronto and love it.
