I've considered leaving the U.S. more this year than ever, even though I really do love it. With the inflation, politics, and lack of work life balance for anyone I don't think the place I grew up in will last. Tbh I've never considered Canada, the government overreach and propaganda there seem insane to me

They both made good points, food isn’t that great but the people are so sweet and inviting. Last time in Canada we had to fill out that ArriveCan form: the first time we didn't know about it even though we checked the requirements it didn't mention it, then one worked and the other didn't we got walked around the border twice back into America before it all got figured out. I'm not white, I can tell you that the examples that you chose to demonstrate silent or systemic racism are fallacies, that doesn't mean that there is no racism, there is racism in every country in the World. But to point out that because the leadership of mayor companies are mainly 'White', it's not prove of systemic racism, you didn't say anything for example of median age of the different populations, that is an important factor in economic advancement of a population and helps to explain why some groups may be more prevalent in higher paid jobs than others. For example, according to Statistics Canada and the latest census you can see that the black population is around 2% of the total population of the Country, but more over a huge chuck of that population is not only young, but recent immigrants from the last 30 years or so. Maybe you should read some Thomas Sowell to have a more broad perspective instead of 'denouncing' racism gratuitously

Canada used to be the best country in the world but in the last 15 years it has deteriorated so much I barely recognize it. Health care here is a disgrace yet we pay through the nose for it in high taxes. Everything costs 2, 3 or 4 times as much here as in the U.S.

I live in Munich, Germany and a big part of my family is in Toronto! I was there last summer, I loved the city but it was very hot and humid, the TTC it is a JOKE compared with Munich´s public transport, I also think the medical system in Toronto is not even close to what we have here in Germany. I don't think about that 2 weeks free time from Canada, or the 2-3 sick days! I lived in almost every province across Canada. Spent over a decade in Halifax and some of the smaller communities. The crime there is above normal. I have lost thousands of dollars in tools multiple times from break and enters and never once had a good investigational outcome. The last time was in Truro where I lost over 20k worth of tools and household goods. I told the investigating officer who did it. The drug dealing individual was not even questioned because he was an informant for the RCMP. Ontario, Nova Scotia, and many other provinces has a false crime rate. Maybe Manitoba and Saskatchewan has a really bad crime rate because the police actually do their job. You did not mention about provincial taxes, that would definitely throw Quebec under the bus. Even though I was born in Ontario, Alberta has my number.

So I have been around a bit. Every country, state, province has its plusses and minuses. I have enjoyed every place we have been. For Canada I am especially appreciative of the health cares system. I don't fret about whether I have the money for the care I need. I appreciate the general civility of individuals. Yes there is homelessness, but I find that everywhere. Yes homes are expensive, but this largely applies to places such as as the GTA and Vancouver area. Yes, there is racism, but have you ever been (especially) in the U.S. South? My snese is that the complainers are more bitter over their own experiences than they are objective.

I spent 2 years (1991/92) in Calgary and I fully understand the feeling. Canada simply has not enough quality job. For better job satisfaction and higher pay, you need to head south to get it. Canada is for someone who is looking for a peaceful life and have more private time but not a very social life style. The medical system needs some improvement though. Compared with the time (70s last century) I spent in England, I would say England is much better because Europe is so close and you could enjoy the diverse culture and food. Absolutely right, all the points are true. One thing really bad is this so called free health care. I waited 3 months to see a doctor for my prostrate infection. An ear infection for soo many weeks to see a specialist. At last i went to India, it took 4 hours, I finished consultation, related tests, diagnosis and treatment. State of the art hospital. I paid a fees . My pain is not more important than money. First let me say that every country and I do mean every single one has their pluses and minuses Canada's major plus is the fact that crime is almost nonexistent as opposed to the United States where there is a mass murder every single day and a mass murder defined as four or more people killed in One Time by one person this does not even count where there is just two or three people killed at one time they're not included in the statistics the United States is out of control with violence guns you name it and I've lived here for 40 years I spent the first 20 years in Canada in my life was so perfect that I can't even dream of a better life the problem with most people is they move to the larger cities Vancouver Toronto I grew up 40 miles outside of Montreal on the great Majestic St Lawrence River one of the truly great rivers in this world my parents had a summer home on the river and every summer it was water skiing fishing boating golfing swimming you name it growing up 40 miles outside of Montreal if you wanted The Nightlife of Montreal one of the great International cities in this world then you could just drive there in less than an hour and enjoy the great nightlife that is Montreal as someone who is French and Italian I loved the winters because ice hockey was my favorite sport and I played all the sports nothing even comes close to the speed skill and excitement of ice hockey it is like soccer on steroids they're only two cold months during the winter January and February and even then it's really enjoyable as long as the temperature stayed below 32° I was happy because that meant that they could make outdoor ice rinks and I could enjoy my favorite sport of ice hockey all winter long Outdoors as someone who's lived all over the United States over the last 40 years I wouldn't trade Canada for any place else the United States is full of scammers I've been in all kinds of businesses working for different companies and there's rarely a company that I didn't get cheated by and had to take to the labor board for justice and compensation I trust nobody the main thing here is stay away from the major cities of Vancouver and Toronto and you will be able to have a great life with affordable housing and if you're into the outdoors Sports Canada is the greatest and best secondly Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and so there are a lot of Natural Resources that Canada has that is wealth for the country that will filter down to the average person what people don't realize is it when you live I've lived in Southern United States and most places the summers are unbelievably excruciatingly suffocatingly miserably hot hot hot at least in the Colder Weather you just put on some great looking ski wear and you can be outdoors and not be bothered by the cold because you eventually a climatize yourself to it Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and has only a 35 million population there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity and in a safe safe environment to raise a family and at the end of the day that's what it's all about I wish I could say the same for the United States being safe but no it is not and Mexico is they have six out of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the world and Tijuana is the most dangerous city in the world with almost 2000 murders and the year is not over don't believe me just Google it the reality is that the drug cartels control everything in Mexico and the police and politicians are afraid because the cartels are so ruthless there is way too much money to be made in selling drugs and the cartels will stop at nothing to make sure they get their money by the way most of my family still lives in Canada and are doing extremely well for themselves and I am the only fool that moved to the US

Great video!!! As an immigrant to Canada from then Czechoslovakia in the 1980, I can say that you are 100% correct in all aspects, my parents and I encountered these difficulties even back then. I stayed in Canada for 28 years, worked there, met my Slovak husband there and now we are living in Ecuador for the last 14 years - I love it here. It was impossible to live in Canada on one pension - I don't get a pension yet, so we live on my husband's - it is possible to do it here in Ecuador. I have lived in Canada my whole life and I used to be proud of my country but the last 20 years I have lost that feeling no one should have to work the kind of hours we do here just to pay our Bill's and paying into our pension plan knowing we have to go to 70 to get our full pensions and still won't have enough to servive. I was born in Montreal and lived there for 64 years. I'm fluently bilingual. I speak English and French. My mother was French and my father was English. I was educated in English. Because of my work, I had travelled extensively and often throughout all of Canada and had seen it all except for Nunavut and the NorthWest Territories. Having stated that, I couldn't wait to get out of Quebec. Starting in the early 70's, I couldn't stand living in Quebec but I tolerated it because I was doing well financially and it didn't make sense to relocate. The Quebec government introduced stupid and restrictive language laws back then. That drove a lot of business and English-speaking people out of the province. There was a real economic decline in that province that lasted many years but luckily hadn't affected my business. Most of the people that left Montreal moved to Toronto. Toronto benefitted from that exodus as they became the financial capital of Canada. I have resided in BC's Okanagan Valley for the last 7 years. It's the best move I've ever made. I have never regretted moving here. This is by far, the #1 province in Canada.

Well I already left the Canada last year after having lived for 5 years. I am in my early 30s , south asian immigrant. I had a good paying job. I left because more so because of the social isolation and the pandemic measures. Plus I feel most Canadians may seem polite , but not friendly as in - extremely hard to make friends. Ethnic groups stick to themselves and don't mix. I found dating to be extremely hard and toxic. People have high individualistic mentality and don't open up.\n\nI am now in working in Mexico / Latin America and my mental health has greatly improved. I am able to socialize and women here aren't as stuck up as in Canada. Real world interactions are valued here unlike in Canada where it's all about the apps and social media. Also who doesn't like some good consistent sunshine. Overall , I am happy to have left Canada and am not coming back.

Check out the UK, over a million people not being able to afford heat last winter. Electricity is going to rise now in October then again in January. It is a second rent we will be paying, no joke!!! Health System is a disaster here. Our NHS is not getting the support they need to be good. Food prices is sky rocketing we see food banks coming up all over the place with long queues.
