Majority of people migrating to canada are from a single Indian state Punjab, but dont blame them to migrate when your government couldn't do math on how many people it need and invited foreigners desperately to come because its population is getting old without building houses/ without enough jobs.

This is a good step in the right direction. Cut down public sector spending. Since the targets for foreign students are much lower, and the anticipated immigration # should be lower in the next few years, we don't need as many immigration workers. I do hope Immigration Canada would prioritize applicants with higher education, skills that Canada need, etc.

This is a much easier fix than what’s being portrayed. We need to make the ability to become a temporary citizen easier than it is. Background checks, usable skills, and political or criminal affiliation. If it’s not possible to access, so is your entry. I support my president and my nation completely and yet I still understand that the deplorable conditions of these broken nations is something I too would want to escape from. By making it so impossible to legally enter, we’re funding the criminals who will do so illegally. \n And can we talk openly about the real issue as well? It’s time for the U.S to clean house too. So many people don't fundamentally understand how tariffs work. America is one of the largest consumer markets in the world with the strongest impact on the global economic scale. Every country NEEDS their goods sold to the United States and tariffs make them pay more to get there goods here giving us a cash influx. while also dramatically increasing the competitive edge for domestic companies to compete against foreign slave markets.

I don't understand why India has to be so reliant on foreign countries. Especially with so many young and talented kids joining the workforce. Indians are smart people, and are bright and talented, and should focus on making work/life conditions better in their own country and focus on the growth of their own country. It's not like we lack intelligence, or culture, or values. I don't like this constant feeling of rejection if visa gets denied to move to a foreign country. Oh we can quadruple our income in a foreign country and send money home. Make changes in India to facilitate that, and not have to feel reliant on a foreign country to make that happen. It's time to make other countries want to come to India for a better future..

Oh and one more thing! Ask any female foreigner, unless she is horrible to look at, who visits India how many selfie requests she gets from men while they try to walk around India. Shameful!

I am surprised that someone like Palki is asking this question. The West won't answer that? It's because of our behaviour, our fake documents and the scams that we pull. Why does the Indian government not address the fact that India has been running the world's biggest immigration scam? You have too many unemployed local born Canadians. The foreigners who know they came without permission shouldn't expect to be considered more important then the local citizens.\nA foreign business like a school program does not have the authority to permit folks to come to Canada. Aap karo to sahi, aap par aayi to mirchi lagi? Oh, and companies abroad get Indian IT talent not because it is good, but because it is cheap (and eventually delivers projects) - big difference. If Indian IT was so dang awesome, you'd think they'd be visionaries in the field, but nope, by and large, Indians consume; they do not invent, but rather implement existing technologies, and have little to offer to the world in terms of scientific and technological breakthroughs at present - with some exceptions.

You guys gate kept the jobs from Canadians, rejecting our applications and pay us unliveable wage, then cry that you dont have enough workers, only to go get foreign workers to replace us.Then cry about crime rates and the housing market. Many of the foreign countries are forgetting Indian labour and skills play an important role in their countries job and economic requirements. Perhaps the entitled attitude of Indians in a foreign country can also not be denied.

Parents in India encourage their children to go to foreign countries in the hope of becoming rich! They calculate the U.S. dollar by the Rupee at 1 dollar @ Rs. 86! These Parents are foolish and ignorant! I've visited India many times! These foolish parents always ask me how much dollars I make! STUPID! \nI have no sympathy !

This is where our PM’s call for domestic travel more including destination weddings than foreign tours. Many who prefer to travel abroad might not have travelled internally at all or a little travelled. Many may not have seen beautiful North Eastern states namely Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura. Connectivity was problem once not now. Many might not have gone to Andaman and\n Laksha Dweep islands. Sikkim, Goa, Kashmir and south India offers more and cheaper. Foreign travel is ok for business trips and not definitely for pleasure. Our behavior abroad is a problem: talking loud, jumping queues, no sense of personal space, eating habits (we heap our plates at the buffet, can't eat it all & throw it), lack of punctuality etc. Many hotels keep watch on our groups during the free buffet breakfast, for, we tend to surreptitiously fill our lunch boxes on the sly! We go for the cheapest options everywhere (Chinese go for expensive things). Basic manners & maybe a foreign language must be taught from childhood at schools.

How many times I have faced Indian visa problems ...\nIt's unbelievable...\nThe frro has repeatedly not extended my X visa, not giving any reason for that!!!!!!!\nIn India, the foreign visa policy is, get everyone as quick as possible out of the country!\nCome, spend your money as tourist and than go!\nIn India, there is no chance of permanent residency, except marriage!

@3:30: Burkino Faso, Kosovo and Cuba have tiny populations. Even if their entire population migrated, the locals in the country receiving them would hardly notice any difference. Not so with India and its 1.5 billion population, many of whom want to migrate only because the neighbour's/aunt's/uncle's son also went abroad. Announce a liberal visa regime for Indians one day, and within a year, your country would start looking like Chandigarh or Ahmedabad. While most countries are ok with some diversity, no one wants to be overrun by foreigners, even if the foreigners in question are Indians who are generally law abiding and hard working. And then there are the 'smarter ' types who fake documents and produce bogus certificates to get visas and even pay human smugglers to take them abroad if their visas are rejected. It's for all these reasons why India's passport is ranked at 85. The only reason why India doesn't fall even further is because there are bigger basket cases like India's 'friendly' neighbors who are sitting tight below.\nIf India wants equitable treatment, it should first make itself the best place in the world for an Indian to live and work in. The more you rely on the others for visas, the more likely they are to refuse you.

Why is india not asking for visas to enter the country? Especially from developed countries like UK, EU, US. India should atleast ask for tourist tax from foreigners. Many EU countries impose tourist tax from tourists. Today we see many foreigners making youtube videos of Indians to make money. Pay tax for the money earned in India

A passport's ranking depends on how many countries its holder can visit visa-free and how many offer a visa on arrival. To boost India's ranking, the foreign mission could focus on increasing the number of countries Indian citizens can travel to without needing a visa.

Once I just searched on google masters degree from foreign country, i literally got 100s of adds for months about Canadian, australian, german and US universities, So if i will take admission in those unis after paying whole saving of my family i atleast want to have rights to work in that country otherwise why would i leave my country as i still have middle class life here. And also it's the responsiblity of any unis in the world that if anyone comes to your country for than they should atleast have right to work for the same number of yr as he spent in his course so that he can earn back same amout which he paid for the tuition fees, suppose if i does my Master's from US for which i have to pay atlest 80-100k including living cost and to earn back that same amount of money in the india from best paying companies will take atleast 7-8yrs it's just about getting same amount of money back in account and to make saving of that much money will atleast take 20yrs then tell me why should some go for education in foreign countires if he doesn't get chance to earn that back, College fees are usually decided on PPP terms of the freshers job in that country that why atleast giving chance for work for the same amount of time of the total course time is a good thing otherwise just stop sending adds, just stop scamming indians, and just close your billion dollor economy which works on fees of indian student. Even many african specially nigerian they qualifies to work in india if they did any of his degree from india.

What a nonsensical report! It is upto each individual country to decide who to let in and who not to let in, nobody in their sane mind can call this foreign interference. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. We have to vote for the right leader who will have a very difficult time and challenges to overcome if at all possible and make Canada Great Again!

I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. The government has its grip on every aspect of Canadian life, it has hindered the responsiveness of the economy so much, that it cant even pivot to take advantage of free capital (int’l students) and third world labor rates (temp foreign workers).

I'm an immigrant looking to get my PR, I have qualifications from one of the top universities in the world, experience as an international consultant and most important I do respect the Canadian culture and follow the rules. However, even for me it is uncertain what is going to happen? and/or if the government will make more changes and kick us out hahaha. I do believe that immigration has poured a lot of money into Canadian's pockets and most of them are not considering that, some of that money is going to go to another country who is willing to manage immigration with a better approach and provide a more certain perspective to new immigrants. The government allowed many bad actors (locals and foreigners) to take advantage of the system and those who are going to pay the bill are new immigrants due to political elections, and that is just sad. We will see who are they going to blame for mismanagement of public resources and the possible crash of several industries, that are currently relaying on foreign money, once there are no new immigrants to blame. I agree with most of the new rules regarding immigration, but I strongly disagree with the political approach of how the government is blaming immigrants for their lack of proper management. The reality is that if you don‘t speak fluent german, companies are not willing to hire you most of the time. Even if you are s champion in your field, regardless what the government tells you as a foreigner. I had to see many foreigners leave the country because they couldn’t find a job here.

Are these not criminal acts by Indians who enter fraudulently a foreign country without a valid Visa. Yes, many people do it but not on this huge scale as done by India. What does it mean when so many Indian sources and YouTube broadcasters talk about India very high GNP and GDP, which is often used as an indicator of a country's standard of living and super economy !?\nCould it be that the Indian government covertly encourages and facilitate the migrants move for the sake of high remittance to India by immigrants. Both the destination countries and India must look into the hidden schemes. It is doubtful that India will help in such investigation but will try to thwart it to avoid loss of remittance.

I find people leaving Canada came, got a passport and moved home but keep that passport close. Or you have the money to leave. How many want to leave their country but don’t have the money. India is dirt cheap as a foreigner but as an Indian wow it’s expensive.
