I am Québécois, and things here are quite different from the rest of Canada. For example, we have a law here that clearly forbids wearing religious signs when in a position of authority. Even a teacher, because they are a figure of authority for their students, could not wear the Roman collar, a cassock, a hijab, a niqab or anything else of the sort while in school. In the streets or any other public place, there is no problem at all. Everyone is welcomed to express their difference of culture or religion in the way they dress or in whatever other way. They are treated with the same respect and kindness as anywhere else in Canada. It is only that the separation of religion and state, and religion and authority is paramount here. Everybody is free and can express themsleves freely. But don't use that freedom to impose your views onto others. \nSo, when American judges are chosen for the federal court specifically because of their christian fundamentalist biases, it doesn't resonate well at all for me or the majority of Québécois. When the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are being questioned or jeopardised. Or a previous federal judgement like Roe v Wade is being overturned for religious reasons... it is a definite turn off for all of the Québec people to even remotely consider the United States as a destination to emigrate to (supposing that one would want to leave our beautiful country).\nMore and more, America, that used to be recognized as the land of the free, appears to be retrograde and restrictive and definitely not so free.

People are saying Muslim is not a race, but my observation is that it seems that none of us English natives are Muslim religion based so the guy is basically saying to find your own land and study your religion on it with other people who follow it rather than coming to try to over populate ours

Social media has ruined a lot of things. People do things they never used to before. We Indian lack civil sense, and lets not forget the rivalry between, north south, different religions, and separatist movements, they bring problems along with them to places they migrate to. I have a friend who is Muslim, when this guy tried to harass her I went completely mad and I actually scared that man away, I'm from US but I will not let people be disrespectful to my friends and their religion.

Students with expired visas should go back. But what is Canadian culture? Is it found in Quebec? Alberta? Or the Reserves? What is it exactly? Do Canadian Immigration documents require applicants to sign they will convert their religion or culture after coming here? If you would change your culture upon entering another country, good for you but you have no right to expect that kind of inauthenticity from other people. If someone changes who they are and their culture upon entering another country then they are not as real as they portray. I am a Latino Canadian I've been here for 23 years and I think the government should only bring people from countries that will mix/ interbreed/get marry and have children with different cultures and religion so that means no Indians, no Muslims, no Jews unless they are willing to interbreed so we can have a more peaceful and more inclusive country.

All they have in common is is a similar religion and language that might be similar or the same however that’s doesn’t make them related to Arabs who live i for example in Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates. Palestinians most likely descendants of the Mamluks, Egyptian Arabs and descendants of Turks and Iranians.

I saw comments about the Caribbean, our countries are not the same, there is one Caribbean country that is always in turmoil and their people are fleeing for refuge . Barbados don’t have no turmoil our people do not seek refugee status in no country. On top of that we have people from the UK, Canada and USA fleeing their country to migrate to ours, they don’t cause any issues at all.
