But did you know over a dozen + countries already have & had tariffs on the US for a LONG time, some are even our “ Allies “. Do you know why they do it? To protect their economy. To protect domestic goods. The short term is always the hardest. But it’s been proven that the long run, tariffs actually help a country’s economy. Also, the US gets shafted when it comes down to a lot of trade deals. Yeah, okay, imports are great… ( If you are getting a good deal )

Trump is a horrible, horrible human. I am devastated over what he is doing. I've never once given Trump my vote and I'm not a lefty liberal. This election wasn't about republicans or democrats or independents. This election was about humanity and global security. American's ignored the writing on the wall for their own singular wants/opinions. They stand with their Trump flags but only a few of them can actually explain any accurate information about his policy or legal issues and they condone his behavior. The majority of Trumpers claim to be 'Christians'. Christians voting for a man who is a bully, abuser, liar, predator, monger of power, impedes freedom of press and speech and aligns himself with a dictator. He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Or is it because you are so short sighted that you can't even see the valuable contribution that non American born people provide this country. Yes, Biden fell asleep at the wheel. Yet many of you still believed the better choice was a psychopath. This election was important. We failed as a country by putting this man in office. No matter what party you align with, we failed. As an American and a Trump supporter, I agree with these tariffs, but only equal to the tariffs other countries charge the United States on our imports. I do not agree with imposing this on our brothers and sisters to the north. I’m speaking of the good people of Canada. I have traveled to Canada and crossing the border was just like crossing into another state. Yes, there was a border gate which there should be, but I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. But to countries like China and Europe the United States should charge a reciprocal tariff as to what you charge us on our import. It’s only fair. Why are we paying an exuberant tariff for our goods entering your country and you expect to pay nothing with your goods entering ours. As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. The dialog between Canada and the US need to come together for a global solution to peace, prosperity and security. I would say if you stop the flow of drugs into our country like Trump asked you to do and tighten up the border. So many good reasons why Canada’s 10 Provinces, with a mostly conservative thinking population of thinkers, should be transformed into 10 new United States States, not just one United States. Yes....10 more States that is the helpful way forward for the United States to have a very dominant conservative thinking population of United States Congress Political Leaders, resulting in a long term more stable United States Congress representing 60 United States, thinking more conservative, thinking more logical, thinking more common sense thoughts, thinking more capitalist job creation thoughts, thinking more tax cut thoughts, are just some of the benefits of having 60 United States of America States on  display, and functioning efficiently going forward for all the World’s Countries to marvel at.

Anyone who ever was a victim of bullying understands exactly what is going on and how it will end for those who wants to appease/bend to the bully. Yes, it will be painful for Canada, extremely. But you have to get really sick in order to recover stronger than ever before. Zelensky knew the inner workings of how bullies work so he probably knew the white house meeting won't end cordially especially it is occupied by people he has no love for and he understood the lack of love was mutual. I'm tired of Canada being compared to the US and no one else. Yes, the US is more productive, richer and powerful than Canada, everyone knows that. But they're also all those 3 things to every other economy in the world! Don't stop comparing Canada to the US, but for god's sake, could you throw in some European and Asian countries too?

It's normal for people to bond together in the community and they all seem to feel more comfortable living ner their own ethic people.
