i dont understand why they dont just offer aid to families and people who actually need it and allow them to come into the country safely as opposed to forcing them to make dangerous journeys using gangs and risk allowing criminals or gang members to get in. By stopping immigrants completely it just shows how unsympathetic and selfish America is becoming.

Look at it like this, there are over 1.4 billion Indians in India and growing, the US has 330 million and need immigration because it’s shrinking, tomorrow 300 million Indians could move to America and still have over a billion people, and double the size of America, so that’s an issue for any country, India is perfectly capable of beating the US and China, tons of smart people there, just put all of the effort from telephone scam centers into curing cancer for medical tourism, that’s big money, or nuclear fusion, unlimited clean energy, that’s big would make India the worlds number one superpower, but the reality, Asia, African, and Latin America are going to take over the world

These people are desperate, can you imagine things being so bad in your own country that you travel thousands of miles to try to get into another one that promises a better life? It truly is sad for those who have empathy. Perhaps the United States should tackle the immigration problem by trying to make things better in other countries so those folks don't feel in need to cross over into America. Instead of stopping us aid helping other countries, and waging and supporting wars in other countries, the USA could take a different approach and actually help the world become a better place. It's crazy I know, but it just might help.

Hi everyone, I'm just going to weigh in some experience here. These people have given up on their government to fix things. They had it good before when Venezuela was wealthy not so long ago. They want that back. Who wouldn't. They want a chance at a better life . They have in most cases already sold all possessions for traveling money and bribes or security. They are scared and tired of traveling. They got told to come to America by someone. I wish we could afford as a country to take them all and it be ok and they build a good life here. I wish it was like that. The system we have needs work for certain. The USA is being overwhelmed by too many coming. We have to slow the roll . But it's a bad situation for all involved. They will look for an illegal way if needed to make it. Hence the cartels step in and offer a way in exchange for money or drug smuggling and the trouble gets worse. There is no simple solution here. Rough on everyone.

Gays and transgender people are also capable of having great minds. Being intellectual. So many gays through out history. The thing with some people is the religion aspect. For the millitary its about cost, they mix it in and change it around. They want the brain power, but don't wanna pay for the transition operation. I think society wants women to stay weak and for alpha males to call the shots. Again a transexual female can never replace a biological born female. Transexuals know this. Why destroy their only shot of a little happiness in this world? It is a very cruel existence because they will be on hormone treatments for the rest of their lives. So many gay men all over the world have femine souls. Then there are tough Lesbians who have masculine souls. It can be confusing but one can get over it all at once when you look at people from the human point of view. They bleed, they think, they have hearts, emotions and needs like everyone else in this world. America loves to put down Jews, Blacks, Minorities of any kind, sexual minorities like the LGBTQ community. Think of all us in a bus or a cruise ship. We are in this ride for a lifetime. I know for transgender people who in Asian Cultures and Native American know about the souls. Other religions don't punish or discriminate. No human being is perfect. Just love and respect one another. Kudos to the pilot for serving our nation ❤

Most Americans don't know that the trouble in Venezuela like most other countries south of our border, was more than likely caused by US interference. For decades our government has financed regime changes at the request of American corporations. Us companies take advantage of natural resources and cheap labor to get maximum profits at the expense of the other countries. Anytime politicians tried to look out for the best interest of their country and people, we financed any opposition that would disrupt their government from enacting change. Our tax dollars. Then, when immigrants come up because of poverty and violence, who can blame them? We all would do the same. Decades of under-funding immigration services and courts make it a years long process that most can't afford to wait for. America is a huge country. We have room. They aren't talking your job. And the vast majority are not criminals. But, the wealthy and powerful people need you to be distracted and have a scapegoat for you to blame for everything. Quit idolizing the wealthy. That includes either party.

“The new American dream is being able to afford to leave here” is what is being said all over Social Media. This is a great opportunity for people to hurry out of here before God’s full judgement is pour out on this place. The only con I see is that people are not prepared to go. \n\nThere are many who have returned to their home counties are finding out the grass was actually greener on their side. They just need to find a way to make a living just like they had to do in America when they came. Legal or illegal, They are better off there than here.

Why don’t the government look and see how many days a week how many years we work and so you know what let’s give this family since they’re not making as much as a rich family and let’s go to this upper class Rich family at work hard let’s give them a break where they need it see People can’t spend money or throw money at certain things and expect people to get by but if you wanna come somewhere, why do they do it like this because they see the blacks act crazy in America that’s why they thought they could come to America and do the same thing. It’s common damn sense manjust like a white collar criminal he’ll look in the face and tell you that there’s nothing he can do and there’s a lot he could’ve done and did and do.? but the problem is we need to stick together as people and not let our jobs dictate who we are and make us think we’re better than the average person that only makes $30,000 a year and can’t buy their children the nicest things that they would like because the most important thing to them is having a roof over their head and paying the bills and that’s what upsets me with people in this world they got all this help to fight drugs they got all in the world to fight this, but what about the little guy? What about the little woman the little family guy look out for them?? can’t just say oh here’s church food that shit ain’t good enough. I’m very thankful to the churches that help people with some of them food banks even a church knows it doesn’t help it gets them bye and if you think getting by is healthy when you can’t work a good day because your stomach‘s so low because your children are more important to eat than you? this is why America can’t take care of their own because they’re too busy taking care of the fake

Canada and Mexico need to find other trade partners and have stronger relationships with other countries and start trading with each other stop relying on America for everything just because they are closer start trading with Denmark . Canada in general get along better with other countries better then America America will end up suffering not Canada . When you start treating your trading partners bad it only affects America in the end ….. Canada will find other countries. We are not hated around the world …. They want to pick a fight with Canada then stop being so nice ?. As a Canadian it’s too stop relying on America for everything we have our own natural resources and trump wants them . Cut him out 100%. Let America be it’s on island time to start trading with other countries. Americans will end up paying MORE FOR ITS PICK UP TRUCK the jokes on them . Stop selling gas to the USA on a discount make them pay higher prices.

This is the best thing that could happen. I hope we stopped all trade with Canada Mexico, and make everything in America. We need jobs here.

Why is America now making its friends into enemies? Doesn’t America need them?

Millionaires and billionaires and the politicians they’ve bought have spent the last 50 years fighting to destroy wages, unions, educational system, acces to healthcare and fought to avoid taxes for themselves leaving ordinary Americans with the bill. Trump is continuing this but more openly and loudly than ever before for all to see. What we in the rest of the western world see as basic rights and essential services is in America seen as “communism” \n\nThe consequences of this is that Americans are suffering and causing a huge demand for drugs both prescription and illegal drugs.\n\nTariffing Mexico and Canada makes no f sense when the peoblem is America and Americans. For many years USA and Mexico have worked together to combat drugs and cartels, there is no need to put tariffs on them.\n\nDrugs will continue to enter USA as long as there is a demand for it, including Musk and Trump jr. The only ones who can fix this is America itself.

Or we make it so cars and part are made in the us again and help dying cities like Detroit! If america starts logging again it will bring back jobs and reduce the need to buy Canadian lumber!

Honestly everyone is to blame. Canada and Mexico have both been riding the American gravy train for decades and never got slapped by any of the former presidents. And now that a president who puts the US first comes along everyone acts like America and our president is in the wrong. Just because something wrong was allowed to happen for so long that doesn't mean it was right. So two things these tariffs will do to Canada. One your economy isn't exactly stellar right now. Two Trump just has to pump up the pressure further and Canada will fold. It's that simple. As for Mexico they are squarely attached to America's teet. They need us WAY more than we need them. They will fold. And during negotiations we will make them ok US military operations on the Cartels. All people see is the word tariffs and don't think about the strategy behind them. Tariffs are a tool to apply pressure and gain leverage. Canada and Mexico would do the same if they could. So lets stop with the pearl clutching.

The word ILLEGAL has a specific meaning and no matter what c9ntext people choose to shape it doesn't change the word, if you do anything that is against a law its Illegal and right now we need to remove a whole lot of none beneficial Illegal people from America. Not being beneficial means i and millions of other Americans who work have to pay for you each year to be here and we have had enough stop making the word Illegal something else if you aren't then its not an issue.

I wish the Dems would realize that illegal entry cannot stand. Trump needs to make a decree that makes it impossible to get anything from any level of government. That would stop the flow immediately. Most of these aren't people working toward a goal, they just want to escape their impoverished country. Stay in your own countries, stop voting in Socialists, and make your governments responsive to the common good. You can have what America represents to you with some work.

What makes the US such a Paradise is ALL those FREEBIES they are getting under the guise of SO MANY grants and fundings from the Federal Government put in places by the previous Administration. Most of these fundings are on hold by the current Trump Administration for reevaluation and reassessment. The thing that the Chicago Governor is talking about is that what US citizens are enjoying as benefits and services are the same thing that these illegal immigrants and migrants are getting. NOT FAIR to the American people. That’s why those findings needed to be put on hold. Our President Trump is PUTTING Americans first. Fixing United States of America first.

Why does this only apply to certain people. I think everyone in America who was not born here should go as well. If you have parents that are not from the US that makes you associated, so you should go too. So raise your hand if you have immigrant ancestors. Come on don't be afraid. So many people don't fundamentally understand how tariffs work. America is one of the largest consumer markets in the world with the strongest impact on the global economic scale. Every country NEEDS their goods sold to the United States and tariffs make them pay more to get there goods here giving us a cash influx. while also dramatically increasing the competitive edge for domestic companies to compete against foreign slave markets.

So if it carries on like this, Donald Chaos is going to be applying trade tariffs against many of his neighbors for not taking back their migrants that the US needs to keep their domestic economy afloat? So it'll be costing the US at least an equivalent cost increase to continue buying goods from Columbia (and other countries as yet unknown to add to the list) until the US has no sources left to switch to that are un-tariffed and more economic.\nThese countries will just sell their goods elsewhere if the US doesn't buy them, so the American consumer loses out and pays to finance this fiasco in the making = US price inflation. \nSo falling out with your neighbors is how to make America great again is it?\nWhat sort of successful businessman works like this and succeeds? don’t judge too much. There are enough Indians all over Europe, Americas and Australia. Many of them specially in the USA and Canada are illegal in high numbers. In Canada and USA, Indians have ruined their own reputation by getting involved into fraud activities, breaking laws of the host countries by bringing people from India and making them work illegally. So, naturally, the rejection rates are much higher for tourist visa and not for business visas as such. The solution is India should build infrastructure inside the country so that people don't need to rush abroad for a better life. Equality doesn't mean providing access to anyone who can potentially misuse the resource of a country.

Idk i think you need to realize that we also have our bias in addition to you having yours. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. What is normal and known /familiar and normal so we aren’t ignorant to , is completely different. \n\nFor us we have our pockets usually in more rural less populated areas further away from larger cities where there is more diversity but that’s the same often in many countries that you will find some of the louder racist homophobic intolerant voices typically in places that truly are unfamiliar and ignorant to the experience of growing up with and around much of any diversity of varying kinds. So it’s not to say we don’t have racism and intolerance of course like anywhere we do. It’s just contained and the range and frequency and intensity is MUCH different. We distinguish nuances of diff cultures and religions more easily and in larger numbers we’re more familiar with diff ways of life , language , food, dress , holidays , values and used to a much less segregated way of existing even when we are differnt from each other as the NORM. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. Quite honestly. \n\nI think the absolute undying favourable passionate upholding and support of nationalistic, capitalist, hyper individualistic mentality about society as a whole (from my Canadian born and bred perspective lol) makes the differences even more glaring blaring and hard to swallow for us lol. First of all Canada and America are European colonization countries. Because of their sense of superiority they managed to genocide and wipe out the culture of the indigenous natives of that place and replace it with their own.
