I physically can't listen to Trump more than 30 seconds. Since 2016. He has the vocabulary of an uneducated child and he's getting worse. Now see Trudeau, what a delight.

Going to be interesting to listen to Trump lying to Congress tonight. His only other option is to avoid talking about tariffs. And the big question: will Congress wake up tonight and start asking questions about what Trump is doing and why (the real reasons)? Lastly, why the big hurry to cozy up to Russia? What is in that for the USA?

Quite the stark contrast between Trudeau and Trump. People who listen to Trump’s vile gibberish and then think of him as a capable leader puzzle me.

A very well articulated speech, so much clearer than Trumps clumsy ramblings. I hope Trump's listening to this, but I doubt it, he only listens to people who agree with him. Well spoken Justin Trudeau!

I wish I could move to Canada where there are actual “rational thinking leaders”. It is so refreshing to listen to President Trudeau…he seems so sane, so even tempered and SO normal and he presents himself as a very mature thinking adult with excellent leadership, communication and motivational skills. So sad that we cannot say that about Trump and his pathetic “cult-like” followers!

I see a LOT of emotions here in the comments from people who like to tout where they're from for some really weird reason. I imagine to represent the soap box they stand upon. I find it ironic people are giving underhanded insults to Donald Trump by comparing how Trudeau speaks, yet I can almost guarantee those same people brag about how they refuse to listen to a word Donald Trump says. So its a really silly way to try to insult someone. Also just checked some of my stocks daily returns. Up over 2%. So he was wrong within the first 10 minutes. I suspect the market will become more bullish as some of the companies that have made deals to create factories in the US complete them and start churning out products made locally.

Ah yes, the trade war that Canada will surely lose. I love Canada. Wouldn't trade it for the world, but this is a losing battle by which citizens on both sides will feel the full effect. Trump appeasing Putin is a chess move, that the PM seems to be overlooking. The US can't afford to go to war with Russia, but at the same time, it needs resources within Russia's neighboring region. So the US will do what they always do, and had people listened to what Kissinger had to say, they'd be better prepared for this. When I was growing up in Canada, hearing of someone being a “Proud American” was something I admired. Today it’s a punch line to a joke about the American education system. They have nothing left to be proud of, and I’m so thankful to be from this country instead. Trump administration or not, the American people can not be trusted to vote in their own self interest, let alone the interests of the allies that stood with them for the last century and who have lost lives sending men and women over seas to answer the American call for friendship, justice, and loyalty.
