Excellent speech! I believe that all US Tarif affected countries and regions should seek a closer economic cooperation. The world is much bigger than the US and I'm confident that there are other opportunities to be found. By the way, I watched an interview with Chrystia Freeland this morning. She had an interesting suggestion: put 100% Tarifs on Tesla cars. Excellent suggestion that caries a strong message the US government!

This baffling behaviour by Trump and his administration is sinister. He is dismantling the NATO alliance which is the main defensive safeguard against a malevolent Putin regime. He focuses on Ukraine, a victim of naked aggression, as the party which needs to make concessions. No criticism is levelled at the Putin regime. Russia could not imagine behaviour more favourable to them .\nBut furthermore, Trump appears to be diminishing the USA in terms, not only of economic power, but also reputation, international respect, military status and World influence. \nOne wonders whether Trump is deliberately doing this as part of his allegiance to Putin? Is he in fact a Russian asset? He could not be more successful if her were so?

As a Korean, I stand for Canada and Mexico. Mr.Trump is messing up USA badly and treating USA alliances as an enemy. Through the trade war Mr.Trump started, many USA citizens will suffer economically and crash other economic market for the rest of world. I totally agree with Prime minister Trudeau.

If the free world wants to put pressure on the US for this betrayal, trade in euros (not dollars) and avoid US products and services. There are plenty of options. The US is so exposed to China through its debt that it will need to back down from these policies or collapse economically.

So let's focus most of our time and effort on building and strengthening what we know that needs to be there instead of this fascist. Improving Unity amongst us. I’ve watched a handful of your vids now and just some honest feedback since you seem pretty chill but you talk about the US like 38 million people don’t live at or below the poverty line and like 26 million people don’t have health insurance; like your food standards aren’t some of the lowest of one of the wealthiest countries in the world; like a child’s life only matters when it’s attached to a woman’s autonomy, but once it’s born even things like gun ownership take precedence over child welfare.\n\nThe people who suffer from these issues the most are probably not people you see all the time because our cities and rural spaces are organized with economic segregation which creates a disparity in tax revenue across different areas, resulting in underfunded public services in low-income neighborhoods, while wealthier areas receive more resources, creating a cycle of inequality and limiting opportunities for residents in poorer communities. \n\nSo honestly it’s great that you are trying to learn more about Canada, but you seem way too comfortable with the state of things. Accept the fact that this is the leadership that we (the majority of) working, middle class Americans wanted. We are pulling the economic weight in this country and we are tired of pulling the weight of those that do not contribute.\n\n2. If you haven't already, get a job. Every business in the country is hiring. And you get paid for the work you do. And the harder you work and the more you learn, the faster you will advance, and the more you will earn. It's an amazing concept.\n\n3. Understand that if you are a U.S. Citizen, or have already started the legal process to become a U.S. Citizen that you are not going to get deported! I don't care what your favorite liberal media channel says.\n\n4. Tariffs are a bargaining chip. When you are in business you make deals, and sometimes you have to play hardball. That's how you get the deals you desire.\n\n5. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects you from discrimination by age, sex, race, etc. DEI openly violates this. Democrats want you to believe the opposite is true because they value your vote more than your quality of life.\n\n6. It's not the government's money, it's your money. You absolutely should give a damn about how it is spent.\n\n7. We are not the World Bank. If other countries need help they should raise their own finances. Pretty much everything we use today has a component in it made of precious metal, military equipment, cell phones, tv ,telecommunication equipment, Automobiles and many many other things. The post-war world order is now over. It's time for Canada to drop out of NATO and NORAD (what is the point of a defensive strategic alliance with the only country in the world that is openly threatening you with annexation?) and expel all American military and government personnel in the country. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc need to form a new strategic and economic bloc oriented toward the goal of breaking America, just as we did with the Soviets when they were the largest threat to global peace and prosperity. Sadly, it is more likely that we will allow the Americans to divide and conquer us... literally!

Make America Pay More Again! As disruptive and asinine as Trump's economic schemes may be, it's sadly necessary that AMERICANS (we are often a very self-centered and blissfully uninformed people) feel the consequences of their vote as soon as possible. Americans MUST feel the pain to grasp the gravity of what a tit-for-tat tariff tiff between the US and Lord-knows-what-nation-Donald-will-go-after-next won't likely end well for us. It is what it is, and Trump is what he is. The whole world has no choice but to let all this nonsense unfold.

Imagine if every leader and every country affected by Trump's actions took retaliatory steps in one form or another, who would suffer the most?!\n\nTrump and America must think before they act. It's America that has interests - political, economic, military, etc - in places like the Middle East, South America, Africa, etc. You've never seen Africans influence/have any desired outcome in American elections, but America, on the other hand, keeps toppling and installing regimes all over the world for their own interests...

The US can no longer carry the world on its shoulders anymore. It is not isolationism it is Mercantilism . Something that should have happened twenty years ago. It is the economic policy of every country in the world and now us.

For the vast majority of Americans, including Trump who don't know this: \n- 90% of all aluminum used in the USA comes from Canada. \n- 80% of the potash used to grow food on US farms comes from Canada. \n- Steel is made in Canada. - Uranium is exported from Canada. \n- Minerals needed for electronics are exported from Canada. The only alternatives are China and Russia. \n- 60% of all imported oil in the US comes from Canada. \n- Electricity produced in Canada is delivered to the states of New York, Vermont, Maine and over 20 other US states. We’ll soon find out if convicted felon Trump and his supporters need Canada when that electricity gets turned off. If Trump can rip our mutually-negotiated agreements so can Canada. We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. Trump did. \n \nIt's also time to super-tax every pound of US coal being exported through Roberts Bank Super-port in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canadians are about to show Trump what happens when you consistently lie and stab your best customer and neighbour in the back. We are not afraid of Trump. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

Trump is setting the stage for China to replace the USA as a key export partner to these tariff threatened nations. So many people don't fundamentally understand how tariffs work. America is one of the largest consumer markets in the world with the strongest impact on the global economic scale. Every country NEEDS their goods sold to the United States and tariffs make them pay more to get there goods here giving us a cash influx. while also dramatically increasing the competitive edge for domestic companies to compete against foreign slave markets.

India's economy has stalled. India also has the rare distinction of being a potential economic powerhouse that won't deliver for its citizens, so its citizens want to upend their lives and move abroad . . . by any means necessary, especially visa fraud - by pretending to be students and working full-time (in violation of student visa requirements), by engaging in sham marriage for sole (and unlawful) immigration benefit, just to name a few outrageous things Indians do. I'm a foreign national of Indian origin, and I support these rejections. Every sovereign country makes it owns decisions as to who is and isn't allowed to enter their country; India is no exception, given its history of refusing visas (many a times, for political reasons). Aap karo to sahi, aap par aayi to mirchi lagi? Oh, and companies abroad get Indian IT talent not because it is good, but because it is cheap (and eventually delivers projects) - big difference. If Indian IT was so dang awesome, you'd think they'd be visionaries in the field, but nope, by and large, Indians consume; they do not invent, but rather implement existing technologies, and have little to offer to the world in terms of scientific and technological breakthroughs at present - with some exceptions.

Because Indians are not good guest at all. They either behave like India is a superpower of some sort (very far detached from reality, India is just a third world country with a big mouth) or they are some rich investors who needs to be given priority everywhere! Learn proper etiquette and some manners. The only economic parameter that matters is per capita. India currently ranks 122nd in the world based in per capita (that too purchasing power included). India can be the largest economy in the world with a hopeless per capita. One day The Adanis, Ambanis and a few others will be worth 25 trillion USD themselves and India could be the largest economy in the world; yet 95% of its population will rank lower than 120th in the world. False self-esteem! Economic superpower? No. What matters is per capita GDP, and we are not great by that measure. Military power, maybe yes. Our public behavior, hygiene, corruption, petty lawlessness and developmental indices all leave much to be desired.
