Pls don't get me wrong. I love my president right or wrong. But Trudeau makes a very compelling point. This is not the smartest thing to be doing with these tariffs. Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the reason President Trump brought the imposition of tariffs on Canada and Mexico in the 1st place was for them to do more about stopping the flow of Phentenol (excuse if spelling is wrong) into our country. I thought both countries have stepped up to do just that already. No? If so then why continue with this stupidness?

Trudeau is hated by Canadians. He is no hero. These tariffs make Trump look stupid. Isn't that what Trudeau was saying by calling it a dumb thing to do? It is time for Trudeau to actually resign and leave politics for good.

Trudeau has had his up and downs in Canadian politics over the years, with the ever present divide between Conservatives and Liberals here in Canada, but one thing is for sure, he's a true statesman, who speaks with wisdom from the heart, and for that is respected around the world. Trump would be smart to take notes from Trudeau, a man with considerably more skill, etiquette and experience in the field of political leadership, both hear at home, and on the world stage.

All these stupid things that Trump says and does are meant to make money for him, his family, and his friends in politics. How? Mayhem and negativity directly impact markets to the downside. This group is simply making massive gains from the financial market bloodbath that has been happening for well over a week now. If you don't think this is true, look at a the Nasdaq, then look at Bitcoin and all the major cryptocurrencies.\nThey are shorting the hell out of all of these assets, and they know how to do it. I do not know if tariffs or Trump's actions are the correct thing to do. But why can't the USA do 25% tariffs, if Canada has 65% tariffs on the USA? Why is Canada demanding the USA support them? Someone please explain it to me. And Trudeau could have picked up the phone and called Trump, this speech was not meant to solve anything. What is so brilliant except to heighten rhetoric and tension? Someone needs to be a grown up but going on CNN and insulting Trump isn't the way.

Why are Western leaders blind-sighted by what Trump is doing? For many years now the US is declining slowly, slowly and then suddenly under the Biden Administration....Pres Trump has no choice but to take drastic action to stop the collapse of the US Empire. The only thing that makes sense is that Trump may plan to let Putin invade Canada from the polar cap in retaliation for its refusal to submit to becoming part of the United States. It is very clear that Trump would not participate in the defense of Canada in the present context, even if it goes against all past history of North American partnerships and joint defense efforts.

The United States is BANKRUPT! That is the only reason that makes sense why Trump needs tariffs on product from other countries (Trump Needs to have his people buy American). This means your vote and opinions DO count. I know it is incredibly difficult to reach for and find answers in a world where your president or primary candidate throws 'fake news' in your face on a regular basis. To him, only his word is law, only his opinion matters, only he deserves to be on top, and he deserves authority over all of your lives. Do the right thing, we all have a civil duty to understand our candidates to the very best of our ability. When a man has been convicted of dozens of felonies, and we tell you that this is only what we were willing to expose. You may want start believing us. Okay, so US tariffs are bad and will cause financial trouble for both Americans and Canadians. Won’t Canadian Tariffs do the same thing? Furthermore, Canada will not win a Tariff war with the US. Canada’s response is not rational, nor is it in the best interest of the country. What about working with Trump to understand what it takes to remove all tariffs.

I supported Trump but I think he is one big mistake. Gas prices is going up not down. Every thing is going up in prices. Economy is going down.

Trudeau is on his way out. Has five days left in office. He is very unpopular on both sides in Canada due to the state of things in Canada that have nothing to do with Trump.
