From Angola, I’m with you Canada! Stand strong to this craziness from Trump. Add tariff to Tesla…
2025-03-04 0
Thank you Canada. You are the role model of how all other countries should and hopefully will react to Trumps' irrational global tariff terror.

As per the result of the Four Nations Faceoff Championship game, the US is hereby to be known as the 11th province of Canada. So how could a province impose tariffs on its own country ?

1) he's not speaking directly to anyone but a camera, 2) he could simply cancel the digital service tax, the 200% tariffs canada puts on US for dairy, HVAC, and other products. He's a lying hypocrite who put us in this position by not negotiating in good faith.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau's words are smoke and mirrors a bit imo. Liberals will go forward with an additional 20% carbon tax dispitie the tariffs occurring. Trump isn't the only one that is harming Canada in one way or another. Trump is forcing Canada to do better with our borders and crisis's that had not been addressed quickly enough. We (Canada) allowed these issues to get out of hand and it took another country to tell us that we needed to do better because the issues affect them as well. I'm stating facts here and now we Canadians will suffer for all of it.
2025-03-04 0
So, he's just going to do the same thing as trump? If tariffs from trump are hurting US citizens, won't that hurt canada even more as well?

Some persons were just talking about their sentiments on their personal point of view but looking at US point of view, know that the US trade deficit (Deficit exists where US import from another nation to US exceeds US export to that nation from US) with Canada exceeded 58 billion dollars in 2024; with Mexico is more than 170 billion dollars in 2024; and with China is more than 295 billions dollars in 2024. In the Philippines, Philippine entrepreneurs and the like who are exporting their products had been enjoying tax incentives (It does mean when exports live the country versus imports being received by the country then) as Philippine export earning is the one making the Philippine economy richer with money gained while import is making the money to go out of the country (going out as cost or expense) then while being revenue of another country (so that the profit of a country which is revenue less the expense is obviously what is the truth about any argument about tariff (which in a way is discriminating the deficit in becoming wider and wider to the pleasure of those who loved imported goods then).

Castros illegitimate child just said US tariffs will hurt Anericans... then this moron implements tariffs on US goods....guess what moron that will then hurt your people and economy ? libtard logic ...oh and hes on tje way out so we care what he says...yeah not at all ?...canada makes me laugh
2025-03-04 0
Has anyone looked at tariffs Canada as been putting on US imports? For example milk gets an over 100% tariff F Canada let’s see how long you can hold out
2025-03-04 0
americans please wake up. they are all corrupt but canada is petty. they ALREAADY IMPOSE TARIFFS ON US. weve just been nice.
2025-03-04 0
Trumps hitting Canada with tariffs because Melania was going Gaga over Trudeau. What a spiteful disgusting excuse for a human being let alone president. Him and his best girlfriend eyeliner Vance.
2025-03-04 0
I stand with America but I support Ukraine and I support Canada. But these tariffs have got to go. Good speech Trudeau and God help us all.
2025-03-04 0
Not surprised at the amount of treasonous morons in this comment section, siding with foreign leaders that have been ripping us off for decades. Canada already imposes tariffs on US products, now they are adding additional taxes, when all they had to do is lower (better yet, eliminate) their current ones. I guess progressives like being taxed to hell.
2025-03-04 0
Funny. Before tariff , drugs were 97% more in dec last month according to his saying..\nDumb guy, Trudeau does not know what he was saying implied that canada was careless last year till Tariff introduced by trump. ya Dumb guy I would say

The fact that this clown thinks we give a sh is hysterical. So it’s ok for Canada to pay 1.3% gdp towards nato while we pay 60% and put ourselves in debt to the tune of one trillion dollars a year TO PROTECT THEM. They tariff us double or triple what we charge them but that’s supposed to be fine. Canada is a government that doesn’t give af about this country or the clueless people in this thread. Don’t believe me just do the research and see what they’ve been charging us all over Europe. Do some research and stop being ignorant about this topic. Canada is 1,3 % of our gdp. We are 60% of theirs. Do the math.
2025-03-04 0
Clearly Canada didn’t do enough until pressure was put on them by Donald Trump, JT even states in this speech that there has been a vast improvement since DT asked Canada to up its game. They are now pulling their weight so perhaps the tariffs will be dropped after all. Canada has been a freeloader for far too long.
2025-03-04 0
Canada, you should have gone to fifty per cent tariffs on USA, let americans like that????
2025-03-04 0
I always understood the tariffs on Mexico in order to force the Mexican gvt to fight the Cartel. I understand the China tariffs and doing what it takes to sell less Chinese products here and more US products.\n\nNow…… Canada???? Really? They are our closest brother country! This is stupid!!! We need Canada and they need us. Donald doesn’t speak for this country.
2025-03-04 0
If I could afford to move from the US to Canada I would move. I am so sick of Trump’s destructive behavior. He’s a very insecure and unhappy person and the only way he can deal with it is by making others miserable. He doesn’t need reasons for implementing new tariffs. He does these things to demonstrate his power, because he’s a class A bully. Canadians, stay strong. We’ll see you this summer when we =action in BC. Your country is clean, safe and the people are so nice.
2025-03-04 0
Why is it our fault to ask Canada to not put huge tariffs on our goods? All they have to do is drop the tariffs on our products and we drop them on their products.
2025-03-04 0
Very straightforward condemnation against the Trump administration on these tariffs. Trump is looking for trouble at the expense of the citizens without thinking about the welfare of the people. Trump wants to bankrupt Canada because it has ample resources and Trump wants Canada to be the 51st state. It is quite impossible to bankrupt Canada because it can always expand its international trade to other countries, like Europe, etc. Do not tolerate the bully. Salute to Trudeau for being honest to confirm that there are no winners in this stupidity.
2025-03-04 0
What an embarrassment to Canada. Trudeau had 1 job to do: Stop the smuggling of drugs to the states from our border. Instead, he's ignored this and thinks he is justified in talking tough. What a disgrace. We deserve the tariffs for voting in Trudeau.
2025-03-04 0
If the US imposes any sanctions against Australia , Australia will impose tarrifs against the US of 100% and reduce tariffs significantly to goods and services in Canada, Mexico, UK, Japan, Taiwan and China
2025-03-04 0
Please dont stand with canada, canada deserves the 25 percent of tariff, should be more than 25 percent, even 50 percent, trudeau need to go, destroyed my family
2025-03-04 0
Sure this was necessary, but don't forget Trudeau has been putting tariffs on Canadians for a while with carbon tax and was planning to quadruple it. Trump might not be the hero for America, Trudeau is for sure the villain of Canada.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau and his lisp ?? The USA doesn’t need Canada Canada needs the USA - You mad bro ??? I love ❤Trump ! He’s got this liberal douche panties up in a knot !!! I think it’s hilarious- Donald Trump nor America gives two ? about Trudeau or his tariffs- DJT is genius
2025-03-04 0
I am a Canadian. We do not want conflict with USA. What we want is for our new leader to be voted in - and then work things out for trade. President Trump is aware of what we have suffered. Canada has stood firm.....the truckers in our capital....brought a siege all over the world for freedom. I do not want the tariffs.....that will hurt us both. But I did not like Trudeau's speech.....it was rude. It does not represent us as a country.
2025-03-04 0
As an enemy to USA, China got 5% less in tariffs than the ally Canada?
2025-03-04 0
Why is nobody talking about the insane tariffs that Canada has had on the USA? Almost 300% on dairy products and we're complaining about 25%? What am I missing?
2025-03-04 0
Canada can end the tariffs by ending controlling your boarded as requested.
2025-03-04 0
What a schmuck. Canada levies tariffs on the US already. Plus, they are one of our welfare states. We support Canada. Maybe, rather than tariffs, we should cut off the welfare check?
2025-03-04 0
So, suddenly Canada is suddenly now arresting these fentanyl gangs in large numbers, spending money on defense and patrolling the borders for illegal immigrants with helicopters and ground troops. Why now ? Because Captain Schmuck here had his sorry arse kicked by President Trump. Canada is effectively bankrupt and have been kept alive by the U.S. umbilical cord, and Trump knows that it has to stop as it is simply pouring good money after bad. Our government knew about these tariffs since the beginning after Trump’s election, and what have they done? Zip, zero, nada because they simply have no clue how to deal with it, but to throw the toys out of the cot. That is hopefully set to change soon and, with a proper government in place, then we can start real negotiations.
2025-03-04 0
Canadian here ????????!! To any Americans reading this comment, my disgust over this whole tariff situation is not on the USA, it’s not Americans, IT’S TRUMP!!! Period!!! There is no doubt millions of you are very angry and embarrassed about what he wants to do. I want our 2 nations to be friends and allies forever. Any animosity between us is just extremely pointless. \n\nI want to thank the Americans who are wishing Canada and us Canadians the best and who are totally against what Trump wants to do!!!
2025-03-04 0
It's simple replace 1.5 million jobs we stand to loose with factories here in Canada with products we would have bought from the state's. There r the jobs back. Then make deals with other countries and in 4 years when Trump is done and the state's want to work with us with tariffs again say sorry we have other partners don't have the extra supplies. And continue making Canada great again
2025-03-04 0
Canada should suspend increased US border surveillance until tariff's are lifted. If increased spending is not recognized why waste money on it, instead spend that money on relief measures.
2025-03-04 0
Trumps using tariffs to get your prime minister to do the right thing \n\nYou guys have forgotten that your prime minister is a dictator and has been using tariffs on the American people for a very long time. It’s only fair that trump does the same to stop this craziness. Do your guys is research and stop believing everything you see the media putting out. Trump is for Canadians. Praying you guys see the truth we love Canada!
2025-03-04 0
Canada imposes high tariffs on certain U.S. imports, particularly in the dairy sector. Under the supply management system, Canada tightly controls dairy production and imposes tariffs of up to 270% on some U.S. dairy products to protect its domestic farmers. This has been a long-standing trade issue between the two countries.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau does not represent Canadians. He has had a minority government for years. Trudeau was finally forced to resign months ago. He should not be speaking on our behalf. He suspended parliament and refuses to call an election. No decision / agreement can be made re. Tariffs, etc. because technically we have no leadership right now. Tariffs have been threaten for months, and the Liberals have made no moves to do what’s right for Canada. He is using this as an opportunity to regqin power. He is not a man of the people.
2025-03-04 0
Just a reminder, Canada/Trudeau commited multiple atrocities against free speech and wellbeing during covid. One example being how they froze the bank accounts of people peacefully protesting the covid mandates. While I don't agree with the tariffs, everybody here should know Canada isnt the perfect, kind, friendly place you think it is. They will turn totalitarian if given enough power or given the right conditions for it.
2025-03-04 0
Stay strong Canada, I don’t want this government or these tariffs, I pray I’m with the majority, this is NOT my America.
2025-03-04 0
Dear Canada, most of us who have half a brain, are disgusted about not only tariffs but everything else that is being destroyed. Hopefully, this will pass with upcoming Administrations. We love Canada and it's people. thank you for your patience.

Let’s go to a 90 year old general. What does this all meen. WTF. There taking Americans money. The tariff American goods. Period . It high school math. Hence. Canada’s goods are cheaper. People buy Canadian goods more. Get grandpa out of here. Push his wheel chair out. It’s high school. Common sense. We slapped the same tariffs on them . That’s it
2025-03-04 0
Canada should introduce tariffs as well.
2025-03-04 0
So what is this really about? Makes sense that elon wants the metals and minerals for himself and not for competition in e-vehicles manufactured in the US. And of course the minerals deal with Ukraine is all for elon who will be able to build while his competitors pay huge tariffs for the same materials from Canada or tariffs on vehicles from their auto plants in Mexico. Wake up America. The two devils are stealing everything from ALL of us.
2025-03-04 0
Find out what pain Canada has planned for the future tariffs. Unplugged, no oil, no metals and no wheat. Good luck shivering in the dark.
2025-03-04 0
As an American, I stand with Canada. We have the biggest dumb ass bully as our president and it’s shameful. The people who voted for that orange turd can suffer. It’s so dumb to impose tariffs on our closest allies. Ordinary Americans will suffer because of this.
2025-03-04 0
What a whusp. Forget the “together” bs. The fact that the Canada/American friendship has long been identified as one is the greater reason why Canada should feel the most injured and forget the “together”bs. Fight idiocy with fire. Canada should charge a toll for all ships moving to Alaska when inside their 10-mile coastal limit. As well as tolls on all traffic, cars, trucks driving thru Canada highways to Alaska in addition to the tariffs.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is 10X the man and leader than Trump. The contrast is real. Canada we stand with you against this moron as he drags the US into an economic freefall which could very easily result in millions of lost jobs, increased cost of goods - including gas, market items, cars, lumber and more. A tariff is a tax on Americans. Trump is planning on using those tariff dollars to help offset the actual tax cut for the billionaires. Tuck Frump. Resist the ignorant fool.

I’m a 53 year old Canadian. I went to college on an athletic scholarship & lived there for 10 years after turned professional in my sport. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.
